Met at the door, shown our rooms. Friendly staff. Lovely big room, bathroom was clean, hangers in the wardrobe to hang up coats. Extra blankets also in the cupboard. The long balcony stretching the length of the floor provided some views and fresh air. Appreciated the small table and chairs in the room.

No lifts, only stairs ( several sets to get to dining room). Restaurant was pricey. The long balcony is accessible to all guests on that floor so you have to keep your blinds shut as anyone can look in. The building works next door meant we parked about 1km away ( though we appreciated the free continental breakfast offered as compensation for the inconvenience.

Excellent German wheat beer on tap & variettal selections. Good wine list.

Hotel maintenance needs improvement (the lights in our allocated room were defunct). We're moved to another room upstairs which was more spacious. Our suspicion is that being low season, staff shortage may be an issue in Thredbo.

Lisa is a great host. The lodge is an older style, European establishment with a fantastic, cosy bar and restaurant on the lower floor. Recommend.

You can't control the weather. But for a great stay when Thredbo is in good shape for ski-ing, definitely worth a stay.

The hospitality (Pablo was so lovely) and the authentic feel of the lodge

Good size bed and bathroom. Good heating. Close to town centre. Decent restaurant on site. Great view from window.

Room not serviced between day one and day two. Fridge was loud. No soap or milk provided.
