Raffaelle was very kind and professional, and meeting with us and explained everything about the beautiful apartment that was very large and clean and also the area was steps to the center of historic Matera.

Location is perfect. It is 5 min walk from central station and 5 min from the city centre square. Matera is outstanding. The cave dwellings and the history and culture of the more than 3 centuries old Town makes a visit worthwhile.

Clean and functional but mundane. Needs updating. WiFi was unreliable. It is a basic apartment block without much charm.

Vito met us on the street outside the apartment and had a parking spot saved for us. He helped to carry our luggage up the stairs and provided a very detailed walkthrough of the rooms. The main dining room was set up for breakfast the next morning, with fresh fruit, milk, and juice in the fridge. The old town of Matera was only a five-minute walk from the apartment, with a tourist info office on the same block as well as restaurants and a grocery store (we made our own dinner that night).

Not easy to pick out negative points on this property. If Vito had not saved a parking spot for us, it would have been a chore to find some close by. The WiFi was slow in most of the apartment and you had to stay in the main living room or the front sitting room where the router was for a good connection.
