Stunning Family Cottage With Garden On The Seafront

Beautiful views. Great location. Very comfortable house with everything you need.

Perfect location and beautiful house which blends with scenery and has well kept gardens front and back. Occasional passers by will look with envy at the place wishing they were staying here.

Lovely location
Beautiful views
Cottage is very much someones home and once you recognise that it then becomes your holiday location in a lovely part of the world

The Enchanted Swallow Cottage was everything and more than I’d hoped for. Quiet, a bit remote, which I loved, but convenient to all the important sites. CLIFFS OF MOHER, ARAN ISLANDS etc. Shopping at the help yourself veg box up the hill renewed my faith in humanity. Find out for yourself! Do be careful with the garbage. Ireland is very strict and God Bless them for it! Hope to return next year, and visit the friends I made this year. Truly Enchanted Thank you, Robert and Ruth

Host anticipated every need and provided top notch amenities.

Loved our quiet and off the beaten path stay near the village of New Quay. House has beautiful grounds and views but is in need of upgrades to the furnishings, bed linens and towels.

Robert’s house was perfect for our weeklong stay! This was our first time in Ireland, so wanted to see some sights but also have down time with the family. A day trip to Aran Islands (ferry from Doolin) was a highlight, bit

The house was large and lovely furnished but a little bit old-fashioned.
Some pieces of crockery were damaged.
The garden was wonderful with a fantastic view,
but we missed a table and chairs for outsite, as the weather was constantly sunny and warm.
The house was perfectly located to explore the area (Galway, Burren, Cliffs of Moher, ...).

The views and location are spectacular. We really loved the layout of the home as well. Really special and will hold a place in our hearts for the fun week we had at this home. Highly recommend this home.

Description and photographs accurate, communication with owner and check in faultless. Radio playing for arrival which was a thoughtful touch. Beautiful property with everything you need for an enjoyable stay, board games and books were a great addition, lovely gardens overlooking the sea, close to a restaurant/bar, art gallery with coffee shop which converts to a winebar at night, local ice cream parlour and chocolate factory plus an honesty vegetable stall all within a few minutes of the property. Everything you could think of is provided in the property especially in the kitchen, little extras like dishwasher tablets, dried spices, cooking oil was greatly appreciated. We will definitely return.

Great location right on the Flaggy Shore. Enjoyed daily dip in Galway Bay with delightful locals. Easy access to great stops on the Wild Atlantic Way - Doolin, Lahinch, Cliffs of Moher - and to villages of Kinvarra and Ballyvaughan for supplies, restaurants, pubs.
The house was cozy, comfortable, and clean. Well-stocked and just as described. Spectacular views.
We would definitely come back!
Thanks for a great stay.

Oh this property! Just beautiful! It was like the cottage was welcoming you home when you walk through the door, just the feel of the whole place is so warm and friendly.
The housekeeper clearly keeps it well looked after, communication with the owners and housekeeper was flawless and they're all so friendly.
Literally EVERYTHING you could want or need is in this kitchen, a lot more well stocked than I expected based on other places I have stayed, and it's good quality too. My teen is still talking about how smooth and efficient the tin opener is lol!
There is no carpet and I love being barefoot, which always makes my feet filthy when I go away as people sweep but don't seem to do much else. I was pleasantly surprised to see how clean my feet were when I went to bed! Everything was sparkly clean and spotless which is really something.
The location is beautiful, you can watch the sun rise and set from the cottage sat on the rocks at the front (we went late August).
Thank you so so much for a wonderful holiday, we're all missing it and hope to be able to come back sometime

A dreamy location on the Flaggy Shore. The property was more than comfortable and even nicer than expected from the listing photos. The location is hard to beat; you can enjoy spectacular sunrises and sunsets from the front lawn or elevated perch in the backyard. Take in the ocean view from the living room. Or even better, swim down the street every morning with the wonderful ladies that call themselves the mermaids. Take spectacular walks along the Flaggy Shore to the Mortello Tower at the point and pick up an ice cream at Linalla’s along the way. Overall a beautiful place and location amongst the most friendly and hospitable people that you can find.

Our family of six had a wonderful stay at Swallow Cottage! The cottage had spectacular views from every window, it was modern with all the necessities to make our stay comfortable. I would not hesitate to rent this property again!

Swallow Cottage lives up to its name!
We feel so fortunate that we were able to stay at Swallow Cottage. The house is truly fantastic, with epic views and walks to go along with the well-designed and well-equipped living spaces. The family of swallows residing outside is friendly, and didn’t seem to mind our presence. We will surely return to the Flaggy Shore in the future - with luck we’ll return to the cottage as well!

Beautiful house in a beautiful spot
Loved the house, comfortable and classy without being precious in any way, some very nice original art work on the walls added to that touch of home. I imagine the location might seem bleak to some in bad weather but it was really lovely for our stay (mixed but no real bad weather) plus you had the option of the log burner if you needed it. Would recommend this house.

Stunning seaside cottage!
Our time spent in Swallow Cottage was a highlight of our trip to Ireland! Not only is this home charming inside, but it’s location is extraordinary, right on the beautiful Flaggy Shore. The house interior is lovely with original art, so nicely furnished, comfortable in its layout with plenty of light & windows looking out towards Galway Bay, or to the lush garden in back.
We were a party of four friends including one couple, so everyone had their own rooms, and the kitchen and living room areas are nicely separated from the sleeping area, so it felt spacious. Great kitchen for a small group and well appointed with all that is needed for cooking at home.
What’s great about this area is the proximity to a great seafood restaurant just down the road, Linnane’s, as well as an ice cream shop & cafe nearby, and an art gallery with a cafe within a short walking distance.
We are so thankful for our time spent at this special property and hope to return in the future.
Our only suggestion is for the owners to have a house booklet/folder available for guests which explains how to operate the hot water system as well as washer & dryer. These systems are a bit tricky to figure out without more instructions. The caretaker of this property was lovely and showed up upon our arrival to greet us and show us a few things, and she did reply via email to my first inquiry about the hot water system. But having written instructions at the house would go a long way for guests so as not to constantly bother her!
All in all, this is a great property and we’re so happy that we were fortunate enough to spend 5 nights!

A great location and stunning spot to explore County Clare for its best.
Less than an hours drive away is major attractions such as the cliffs of Moher the Aran Islands, The Burren… the Cottage is located on the coast at Flaggy shore, where you can watch the bathers going for a swim in the morning. Brilliant place to watch the sunset and beautiful local walks. The cottage is architectural inspired and is well textured using materials from timber wood frame to corrugated iron. Excellent stocked pantry items and spotlessly clean! Splendid pitstop

Every aspect of this rental was flawless. The home is situated in an incredible place with the most peaceful views of the water. It is well appointed, clean and spacious. The kitchen is very serviceable for self catering. There are many windows which provide views from virtually every room. It was the perfect place to relax and is well situated as a jumping off spot for day hikes.

Beautiful house on lovely Galway Bay, Flaggy shore
First time to the area and the driving was very stressful! the lane to the beach is long and narrow and meeting an oncoming car is pretty scary, but that's the kind of place it is. The house is in a "developed" area... meaning there are several houses along the shore, but a) we were there in March and b) it is a perfect place to get away. So much to learn and see! Loved Swallow Cottage... well equipped and the views are lovely. We enjoyed the fireplace but wish there'd been more wood/logs available ... driving back to Kinvara wasn't fun... or perhaps just advise guests that there's enough for one night.
Loved Linnanes Lobster restaurant... but only open Thursday to Monday 12:30 and after. No place else nearby...so need to bring provisions.
scored down a little bit because the caretaker hadn't actually left us the key ...we had to wait for her to walk there with her dog... (the dog went in the house with her!) Lovely boy, but he sheds.
Also internet went out one day and had to be rebooted and the caretaker had to do that. Might consider putting it somewhere more accessible so that guests can do the reboot with out having to have her do it.
Still, an amazing place, and the house is a great lay-out for a small group. Beautiful grounds, and we had only one rain!
Thanks for sharing the house with us.

Wonderful stay in the middle of the Burren
This house was an absolute find. Location is absolutely stunning. You will need a car if you want to get around the sites of Clare.
But only a walk to lovely restaurant bar, cafes and ice cream parlour. Only advice would be to bring fridge essentials with you 😆. Will definitely book again.
