The flat is located in a former school house amidst a neat rose garden. It is very nice, well equipped, clean and comfortable. The landlady and her husband are very kind people, very attentive. We enjoyed our stay at Asaskoli very much.

Great location! Great accommodations! Great Hosts! First off, the apartment that we rented for the 6 of us was just fantastic. Loved everything that we had access to, especially if you wanted to do any cooking at the property as opposed to going out somewhere to eat. Beautiful gardens all around the property, that the wonderful hosts have plenty of details on. The property has so much character and history which the friendly hosts were happy to share details on. The hot tub is fantastic. Nothing better than coming back from the hiking all day to relax in those warm waters. The property location was fantastic. We were able to go just a little North and explore so much of the highlands that we wanted to experience. And then we were just as easily able to head to the Southern coast and hit key spots there. The hosts gave us additional guidance on what key sites to take in. Despite all the things to see, I could see myself just planting myself down at Ásaskóli just to relax. Side note, the hosts make their own Jelly/Jams. They gave us some samples when we were leaving. I think they lasted a day as our family devoured them. ;) For larger groups like ours, coordination around one bathroom takes a little effort, but well worth it considering everything you get with this property. Will definitely return.

The apartment was perfect and the hosts were exceptionally warm and helpful. I couldn't recommend this place more. The surroundings are ripe for exploration. Stay several days if you can!
The restaurant options in town aren't very good. Bring your own food and cook at the apartment. It's wonderful.

Beautiful remote location. Convenient to Golden Circle. Perfect location from which to visit the amazing Gjáin Canyon. Clean, comfortable, perfect for family of four. Friendly hosts!

The hosts were super friendly. They waited for us late in the night to hand the keys and tell interesting things about the place and Iceland in general. They had prepared hot-tub for us, and we enjoyed it a lot. All our friends were super impressed by their knowledge and would have loved to stay longer and learn more about the country from them.

A hidden treasure - off the beaten track and absolutely lovely inside and out Private apartment is set among extensive gardens. Very warm and welcoming hosts. Would love to go back someday!

Best place in Iceland. Everything is amazing, comfortable, well eqquiped.The house is so homy and cozy. The garden is stunning. The hot tub very pleasent and the roses are beautifull and spread lovely smell. The beds arr comfortable. We had enough space for the five of us.
Most of all, Katrin and Stefan are the best hosts, so friendly, helpfull and always with a smile. We would love to visit them and their lovely home once again.

The hosts had no problem with us arriving after 11pm. They let us use the geothermal pool in their backyard. The house and the yard were absolutely gorgeous, the B&B area was comfortable for 4 people and great for even a longer stay. We only stayed 1 night and left early in the morning.

The host! They are like old friends, so wonderful, warm and friendly. We only stay a night and it was our last night before leaving iceland and we really need a comfortable place to be in and this was it. The owner started the hot tub even before we arrived. And the host took time to explain all the setup properly and send us off in the morning. THe kids have board games, lots of it, and the space is wonderful. THey even have a football field which we didnt use as we were just resting. We even get to have a bottle of the host own made jam.We should have stay longer.

The entire apartment is big and clean. It has two bed rooms, one kitchen and living room. The owners are extremely kind and friendly.
The outdoor settings are beautiful. The owners even provides a hot spring pool. We really enjoy it.
The location is a little far from center. But it services our purpose, we chosen it for hiking stay.

Everything here was incredibly clean, well thought out and simply delightful. the kitchen was very well equipped, beds were very comfortable, living spaces cozy, and the garden and hot tub were beautifully built by the hosts’ hands. This is the kind of welcoming stay everyone always hopes for.

Katrin and her husband were great hosts. We had wonderful conversations and enjoyed their hospitality. The cottage was cosy, with a beautiful garden and a hot tub. It was a reasonable drive to Seljalandsfoss, Thingviller and Kerid Crater.

There was no breakfast included in our term; but the facility was superb. The owners have renovated a house to their liking, and their taste is immaculate. Also, they are extremely friendly and informative. They went out of their way to help us. They called their doctor to find helpful Covid related travel info/test facilities.
We definitely recommend them to anyone.
Once of the access roads was closed due to a bridge construction. It took us a little bit of trial-and-error to navigate alternate route. It would be very helpful to alert new travelers with this info and let them know of any additional route they could choose.
Not a big issue, GPS guided us. Anyone not having access to a GPS may have had some hard time.

Very kind host, we told him our plan to the next day, and without our request he checked for us the road and found that it is close, so it saved us from going there!

The guesthouse was far nicer than what we could ever imagined. The decor was so well done. Everything was of high quality. The kitchen was fully equipped. The bedrooms were extremely spacious and so comfortable. We had a sitting area with games where we four could gather. The grounds of the property were stunning with lovely roses and plantings. The owners couldn’t be more welcoming. They have a shop where you can purchase handmade items and I got a beautiful handmade Icelandic sweater. It’s a must for all travelers.

This apartment is highly recommended. Warm welcome from the owner even after late arrival. Such a nice, huge, tidy and comfortable apartment with all things you need and even more! There is also an amazing garden, grill and swimming pool with naturally warmed and clear water for relaxing at the end of the day located directly in the garden near the apartment. This apartment is our absolute favorite during the trip in Iceland. Big thanks to the owner 😊
