First of all, i thank Moira/John(Owners) for acknowledging our 34th wedding anniversary. We appreciate you. The cake, card and welcome package was so kind. From the booking process to the checkout process it was professional and effortless. The property manager Barbara Eduarda greeted us with a smile and referred to us as My Friends. She ensured us she would be available if we had any questions or need assistance with anything. Prior to our arrival, we were sent a detailed map of the area along with grocery store info, market info, train/ferry info. In addition she provided us with Lil Jumpy Monkey(Transport/Tours) which we used as airport transfers being it was our 1st time in Portugal. Their service is first class, top notch with a smile. When we walked into your home, it instantly felt like OUR HOME! Everything we wanted and needed was there or within walking distance. This home is very well furnished, immaculate and in a very lovely location. This was a surreal experiece! Just unpack and relax as everything is there. We had concerns regarding phone chargers and laptop. All the necessary adapters were provided. I highly recommend this place! We vacationed 2 weeks and it was not long enough. We were sad to leave but good memories are with us UNTIl we make more memories on our return. Thank you again. We are already looking at our schedule for next May for 3/4 weeks.

A very spacious, well equipped apartment with amazing views from the balcony over the ever changing seascape. Moira (owner) and Eduarda (local host) were very helpful and accommodating with an earlier check in, local information, etc. The generous welcome pack was appreciated.

The condo is amazing. The views are spectacular. Loved watching the clamming happening across the street. Everything is a short walk away. The hosts and their lovely property manager go above and beyond to assure your comfort and convenience.

This was our first long-term stay in Portugal - 10 weeks! What we wanted was a 2 br, 2 bath apartment with all the amenities, modern conveniences, water views, easy access to restaurants and shops, & close to nature (birders). That’s exactly what we got &more!
Our flight from Canada arrived early in the day but, because there were no tenants the previous day, we were granted early check-in. Eduarda, the Manager, welcomed us to the building on the arrival & gave us a quick orientation & her contact details. She had also arranged for a lovely welcome package which included a bottle of local wine & enough groceries to prepare a lunch for that day & breakfast the next a.m.. Perfect. Obrigada, Eduarda!
The apartment is as described; beds & linens are very comfortable and there is a ton of storage so that one can actually move in & not have a bunch of travel clutter lying around. Arriving mid-Jan. meant that the building was very quiet; we never met anyone in the elevator!
Such a long stay resulted in us making a lot of our own meals & we had everything we needed for that…..shopping trolley to pick up groceries from the store, pantry & fridge/freezer for storage, stovetop, oven & microwave for cooking & dishwasher for clean up.
Eduarda was always available via WhatsApp if we had any questions.
Our long stay also had the added benefit of bi-monthly light housekeeping; A+.
Internet, cable tv & streaming (netflix, etc) A+.

Everything was wonderful. The communication with the hosts, the check in, and the apartment. There were drinks and food left which was a bonus, and very thoughtful. I travel solo, but two daughters visited me for almost a week. The two bedroom, two bathrooms made it very accommodating. The apartment is so clean, so light and airy. It is all so fantastic. I would make a trip again just to stay here. But maybe I would do that in warmer weather so we could use the pool. All in all, great hosts, great apartment, great location.

We enjoyed John and Moira's two-bedroom until for a recent four night stay. Their place was comfortable and had everything we needed. The Olhao markets (open 6 days a week) is very close to their modern unit located on the waterfront. Everything was just perfect. Highly recommend!

We have just returned from a week long stay at Moira and John's apartment in Olhao. We stayed in the same town this time last year so know the area - this was a great stay.
We were so impressed with the apartment which is even bigger and better than the photos. It was just myself and my husband staying (to celebrate my birthday) so we had a lot of room but even if there had been another couple with us, it would still be very spacious with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a little annex room. Unusually there was also plenty of seating in the living area and on the balcony (great for afternoon sun).
The apartment has great views over the salt pans - this was one of the things that attracted me as the last place we had stayed did not have such good views. It is very quiet and extremely well equipped. The lifts are efficient and it is very secure and safe. We ate in for a few nights and found everything we needed in the kitchen as well as a much appreciated welcome pack. The wifi is good and there is plentiful hot water for showers.
There is a pool on the roof (one floor up) but it was a bit chilly for us to swim in February but I think it would be lovely in warmer months. It's about a leisurely ten minute along the front past the marina to the markets. There are many great restaurants in the town (note that a lot are closed on Monday).
This is one of the best apartments that we have stayed in and should we visit Olhao for a third time, we’d definitely stay here if it was available. We were met on our arrival by Eduarda who was very helpful and on hand (via WhatsApp) if we had any queries during our stay. Thank you Moira and John for a great stay (and for good communication before our visit).

We had the recent pleasure of staying at this large apartment for 2 weeks. Many thanks to Moira and John, our hosts, for the "welcome package" and for the extras added by Eduarda, the apartment manager. Much, much more than expected, but very appreciated! Eduarda, it was a pleasure to meet you personally on our arrival! Olhao is a great location to base yourself while exploring all that the Ria Formosa has to offer, and this apartment is nicely located very close to the morning fish and produce markets as well as the ferry terminal. As for the apartment itself, all we can really say is 5 stars for everything! It was great to return after a long day of sightseeing to someplace we could relax and cook a nice supper in a FULLY equipped kitchen. If we return to this area of Portugal this property will be first on our list to book again!

What a gem of a property and what absolutely fabulous owners. We booked in 2019 to go in 2020, but didn’t end to being able to go until this summer (2022) and throughout, Moira was super responsive to all our questions and amendments,
From the moment we were picked up (all organised with Moira in advance) and the wonderful welcome by the lovely Eduarda, we knew we had found somewhere special.
The property is everything you would want it to be, and well represented by the pictures. Everything you would need is supplied and having the balcony looking out on the flats and the pool one floor above, was amazing.
Olhão is a gorgeous little town, with lovely restaurants, shops, etc and the ferry to the islands are not only a cool day out but also extremely inexpensive.
Overall a real gem of a property and if you’re looking for a comfy and relaxing stay, then look no further!

This spacious apartment is in a wonderful position about 10 min walk along the front to the markets., a great balcony and lovely roof terrace with a pool. Easy parking.

Nice modern apartment with good views and within easy walking distance to town centre.
The apartment was very well equipped for in-house cooking and host’s Moira and John graciously left us snacks and a bottle of wine for our arrival. We would certainly recommend this unit and location for anyone planning a holiday in Olhão.

A delightful, well positioned apartment
We had a most enjoyable holiday at this apartment. Being of senior years this was perfect with a lift direct to the door, all one level with very spacious rooms and hallways.
The apartment has everything we needed including wi fi washing machine etc.
We enjoyed our daily stroll along the harbour to take coffee at one of the cafes and to shop for fresh fish a produce in the markets. This is a town that we enjoy revisiting even though of restricted mobility I find it easy to get about.
Moira had said that we could opt for Tracy (apartment manager) to meet us at the airport and transport us to the apartment 'Wonderful ' service so much better than waiting for an hour or more for a hire car.
