What a beautiful B&B in a country setting - converted old church to a B&B - awesome view of entrance to Halifax harbour. Hosts are second to none for hospitality

The view was great from second floor patio. Ability to chose breakfast order and delivered to room. The hosts very friendly and helpful.

The owners were there at all times to address any concerns and questions we had. They were kind, lovely to chat with and made us feel very comfortable. The homemade breakfasts are so great, I recommend the waffles and my husband loved the pancakes.

It’s a picture perfect spot if you’re looking for that kind of stay, a bit higher end. Building is beautiful. Tucked away, only 20 ish min drive to downtown Halifax. Eva was very kind and had lots of good suggestions on things to do. She also made some small adjustments which helped our stay go very smoothly (we didn’t realize booking.com hadn’t included the taxes - Eva was very gracious about this). Breakfast was incredible every morning. We would recommend 😊

Rooms and beds were very comfortable. View was amazing. Tom and Eva were great hosts. I forgot my passport there and they ensured I was able to collect it. The breakfasts were huge and delicious; delivered right to our room so we could enjoy it wearing our comfy robes and looking at the ocean. It was fun to watch Eva feed and talk to the sea gulls and squirrels.

The rooms were a ways outside of Halifax (20 - 30 min from downtown) so if you want to be right in the city, this isn’t the place for you. For us, the quiet, views and comfort more than made up for the extra driving.

Comfy room in a beautiful property. Hosts were wonderful .. Eva even drove us into town to pick up our rental car. Fabulous breakfasts. Highly recommended.

Eva and Tom were great hosts! They were very warm, helpful and accomodating. The location was very close to Halifax downtown so we enjoyed the restaurants, bars and the boardwalk. The place was very tranquil and was tastefully decorated. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Our room did not have a kitchen but since other rooms were empty at the time they offered us to use one of the vacant room's kitchen and fridge (very thoughtful). It was a bliss to be able to do my morning yoga on the patio watching the ocean and having a freshly cooked breakfast delivered to our room. Enjoyed every minute of it and looking forward to our next visit (booked it already :))

very attractive setting...very comfortable

Staying at the Star of the Sea was like staying with family. Eva was so warm and welcoming throughout our entire visit even prepared with brochures and suggestions of where to go. Our room was so beautiful I almost didn't want to leave it. We were lucky enough to have the pool to ourselves the first night and really absorbed the gorgeous scenery. We will most definitely be back for a visit!
