Three of us, older fly-fishermen, were delighted with the cleanliness, proximity to Townsend and the Smokies, and with the amenities of this cabin retreat. This was a cozy place that kept us warm, had all we needed to make our stay enjoyable. The beds were comfortable (we each had one), the kitchen well equipped, WiFi was perfect, water for showers and kitchen was hot when needed, there was plenty of chairs and places to relax (and even tie a fly), the grill worked great, the hot tub was sooo relaxing, and the fire place was amazing at how well it worked. The instructions from the host were well laid out, and he was easy to contact with a quick turn around for questions. I also appreciated the security system/door locking mechanisms on the place. If I were going to build a cabin, I would model it after this one. I look forward to returning in the future.

And the area was quiet. The cabins were not too close to each other. There was plenty supplies and wood to burn which you don't usually see. Would come back again to this cabin.

Great, quiet place :)

Nice cabin. Seems pretty new. Kitchen well equipped for casual stay.
A few things could be done to improve the experience.
- there is no light at the bottom of the stairs outside. The porch light doesn’t reach that area. The walk is uneven. A light aimed at that area would be a safety improvement.
There are no closets. A few coat hooks would help: two at the front door (behind the door), a couple more in the bedroom also behind the door.

Perfect cabin for our 3-night stay in the Smokies! The most comfortable bed, peaceful setting, and cleanliness and attention to detail were spot on. Thank you!

Our cabin was a perfect fit for us. Quiet and private, but not too isolated. Near a grocery store and ice cream shop, but still deep in the woods. Our cabin was so clean with lots of towels, dishes, wine glasses and good pillows. The hot tub was set to a perfect temperature upon arrival. Townsend is a great place to stay to visit the Smokey Mountains having its own entrance and no crowds.

We enjoyed our stay at the Yellow Door cabin. It is a small cabin but was just fine for me and my husband. Everything was clean and very close to the Cove and everything we needed. We would stay here again and would recommend highly to others.

We loved our stay at the Yellow Door Cabin. It was immaculate, and well stocked. Extremely close to many fun activities in Townsend & not far from Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. Our host was very helpful and responsive. The hot tub and fire pit were great amenities. I would definitely recommend this property. Our family had a wonderful stay.

We really enjoyed our stay. It had everything we needed. Good recommendations. Easy clean up list, and very clean when we arrived.

The cabin was tucked away on a quiet little piece of property that offered the best three nights of peace we have ever gotten. It’s in the perfect location not far from the larger towns and offers the perfect views of the smokies with a ton to offer while still being in town. The property was mostly clean with plenty of supplies like paper towels, toilet paper, etc. The two biggest downsides we had were the king size bed (not very comfortable and a large dip in the bed on the right side when you walk in the room; we brought our own blankets so layering those helped,) and the hot tub. It was the perfect temperature but had a pond like smell to it. Besides that, the cabin and property were both a nice little slice of Heaven.

We loved this property. Located just outside the Smokey Mountain National Park on the "peaceful" side, it was the perfect place for a few days of hiking and biking in the park. We do have two comments and suggestions for the host that lowered the scores. The cabin sleeps four adults however there were only three forks in the kitchen! There is a lovely gas grill but no steak knives and only three (very dull) knives for food preparation. The cabin was very clean except that we found some trash under the upstairs bed. The four of five articles of trash included an open, half eaten, snack box (like a Lunchable brand). Other than these details this is a five star location.

It was the perfect little cabin for me and my two daughters. They loved seeing the bunnies that live nearby everyday and we also saw a bear walking across the driveway as we went to leave. Perfect location in town close to the grocery store and the park entrance. The host was always prompt in his responses.

We had an enjoyable time. The cabin was was clean and we'll stocked. The hot tub is very private, so we enjoyed using that.
There's are so many things to do nearby. It is extremely convenient to get to. Thank you for great stay!

Great location, but the stairs could have better lighting to see at night

My son, husband, and myself enjoyed staying at the Yellow Door Cabin. This is our 2nd or 3rd year we have stayed here for the Bronco Super Celebration. It worked out perfect for our needs. The weather was cool enough at night to have a fire in the fire pit provided. We will definitely be back again.
See you in 2024!

The cleanest cabin I’ve ever stayed at ! Wish we could have stayed longer. Easy to find. Quiet. Great location since Cades cove is not far and we went there every day.

We had a great time at the Yellow Door Cabin! The location was perfect for our week of hiking. We appreciated the quiet neighborhood, great parking and the short drive to the GSM park entrance. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed for a fantastic stay. The host was very responsive to any messages as well. We would recommend this location and would stay again!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin! It was perfect! Very clean and cozy. We enjoyed the hot tub too! Great location very close to Cades Cove and Apple Valley cafe and general store. 40 minute drive to Dollywood. Only issue we had was microwave was broken, other than that, I would highly recommend this cabin!!

We were so pleased with our stay! Everything was as described and pictures were accurate. There were three of us on a girls weekend getaway, and we all agreed it was such a cute little cabin and perfect for our trip. It was very clean, quiet and peaceful, and we felt safe. The owner was very informative and provided all needed info several days prior to our stay as promised. They provided some additional pictures of roads leading to the cabin, and we had no issues at all finding it even at night. The kitchen was well stocked, and we especially appreciated the abundance of towels provided so that we did not have to wash any while we were there. The location is great. Just five minutes from the entrance to Cade’s Cove and about 30 minutes from the Pigeon Forge/Sevierville area. Two suggestions for making it even more perfect—Having another mirror on the wall somewhere in the cabin would be helpful when you have several women getting ready at the same time. Also, the stairs going up the front porch were very dark at night even with the porch lights on so having another light on the stairs would be great. Overall, we had a wonderful stay, and would definitely go back!

Cabin was very clean and everything was exactly as listed. My only negative comment would be that there was no closet in the main bedroom, and no place to hang anything, other than that it was just fine. The town of Townsend is quiet as promoted (i.e., the peaceful side of the smokies) and places to eat were all extremely busy and seemed unable to accommodate all the people that were in town. One of the most “popular“ places to eat located close to the cabin, had an hour and 45 minute wait on a Tuesday evening, when we finally got in there to eat on Thursday, it was extremely mediocre.

Phone might be close to side. Blinds open close was missing. No kindling to start a fire. Otherwise, it was wonderful.

The cabin was very clean, everything that was advertised. It was also well stocked with toilet paper, paper towels, garbage sacks, extra towels and washcloths. Even extra batteries for the remote . We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this cabin.

After several stays in the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area, this location was a real treat. Close proximity to GSMNP but without the crowds and traffic. The cabin had all of the basics in a compact yet functional space. The driveway down to the cabin was steep but doable.

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It was perfect for 2! It had all the cooking utensils we needed for a short 4 night stay and plenty of coffee pods, towels, hand towels, and wash clothes. The wood burning fire place was a very nice addition. The only issues we had was after the second night the hot tub started to smell like mildew which transferred to us and the mattress could definitely be updated. It was very hard and you could feel the springs.

Beautiful loved the decor, the coziness, the outside fireplace, the swing on the front porch. Convenient to all attractions. Definitely will stay again. Hot tub was clean we did not use on this trip but Definitely on the list for our next stay.
