Unfortunately we did not stay in the unit. The unit itself was nice and the view was beautiful. We thought it was more of a condo complex but it was just an apartment building. We were there for less than an hour and the noise from the hallway was loud, kids running, yelling and just being kids. I knew this was not for us.

Our Hosts were welcoming and available for us if we needed them. There was a lovely bottle of wine waiting for us which made us feel special! The Penthouse was truly Seaside! On the spacious and well appointed patio you had views of the beach, cliffs and ocean. We were so close you could hear the waves. Located perfectly. Short walks to 2 grocery stores, many restaurants & sports bars, pharmacy and clinic, a quaint Catholic Church, and easy access to walking paths like the Fisherman's Trail. The building had controlled access and was kept very clean. The building is aging but I wouldn't have wanted to be in a modern apartment house. I liked that I was in Portugal and living how Portuguese people actually live in this thriving village. I had rented a car and there was always parking near by and street parking was permitted. The lovely apartment was well appointed. It was very clean and organized so anyone could just unpack and feel at home. Having all the windows in the living/dining room gave you beautiful natural light all day. The beds were comfortable & linens were like new. The showers had great water pressure. There were closets to put your clothes. Very well decorated. The WiFi was very consistent and strong. The kitchen had everything you need on vacation. The refrigerator was new and the dishwasher kept us tidy. Portugal is environmentally aware & there were recycle bins & waste bins outside of the apartment building. Barb from Canada

My family of four had an amazing time in Praia da Luz in this perfectly located gem of a condo. We had a terrible flight in and were late, but the host was so accommodating, it made it all so much better. It's a walk from restaurants and the beach and a little market down the street if you want to make use of the galley kitchen. The view was incredible, especially from such a large balcony. The parking was a little difficult but we never went without. I would recommend this wonderful little place to anyone on holiday!

We had a great stay in Luz at this lovely apartment which is within walking distance to the pretty sandy beach and many great restaurants/bars. The two bedrooms are a good size and very comfortable. We did struggle a bit with having only one toilet between 4 people but the two showers are strong and spacious. We loved sitting outside on the balcony looking at the amazing sea view but unfortunately there was a construction site nearby whose loud noise was disturbing (hence the 4 stars, not 5). Pascal and Camy were super responsive and helpful with any inquiry we had. The area was windier than we expected but had so many beautiful beaches only a short drive away. We loved driving into Lagos for dinner too which was only 15 minutes away and easy to find parking.

The apartment is a close walk to the beach and restaurants along with the market. We were always able to find parking at the building. The view looking out to the water is beautiful and the space is bright and open. My mixed feelings about the place come more from some communication from Pascal. Originally, everything was ok and he and Camy were responsive. Prior to us coming here, we read a negative review about the place. I asked Pascal about it and he redirected me to read other reviews that didn't mention about it and that he tried to have the negative review removed. There is 100% CONSTRUCTION happening next door and it is loud! It's a small crew and this construction looks like it will take a long time at their pace. Pascal never did answer my question about this so I'm disappointed he skirted around it. I also let him and Camy know of a couple of faucet and handle issues. The bathroom shower knob came off and the kitchen sink entire faucet flew off getting water everywhere. Camy came and fixed them the next day, and more than anything we wanted to let them know so we wouldn't be charged damages. Communication goes south. I gave some feedback to Pascal that only one roll of T.p. was not sufficient for any rental, and then he became rude saying he's not a 24/7 hotel and that it wasn't necessary for the plumber to be called the day before and I should have screwed it back on. I'm not a plumber and didn't know what was wrong. No plumber, only Camy fixed it.

The owner and staff were excellent and provided everything, explained everything and have created a spacious, airy, light, very comfortable apartment! Though the overall area there is too built up and the building itself in need of a big of a clean up, once you open the door to the penthouse it is a wonderful experience! The rooftop terrace and view of the water, the spaciousness, the amenties are all wonderful. And within walking distance the bveach and many very good restaurants, grocery, etc

Easy check in greeted by Camy. Everything needed for those like us who like to prepare meals. Amazing balcony with amazing view. Awesome stone BBQ. Close to many restaurants and the beach. Easy parking. What else can I say 😀 I definitely recommend this wonderful appartement.

When we were getting closer to arrival the cleaning lady and manager kept in touch. Being Sunday cleaning lady’s only day off but was willing to meet us later in the day or try to arrange someone else. Well we arrived way before they could meet, the apartment building is quite old and when we finally found the door to go in with key pad it didn’t work. Some nice people let us in. We took the lift to the 5th floor building really had smells to it. We got the keys out of the lockbox and entered which apartment had awful smells being closed up. Everything was clean and neat. Old and weathered though needs a good paint job and updating. We did report to Pascal about the ongoing construction below the balcony 6 days a week 10 hours banging, cement trucks, crane overhead. Dirt/ dust film over all outdoor furniture. When drying clothes we tried to do Sundays to keep the mess off everything which still had dust. Pascal should of disclosed the construction to us and given us a choice of renting. When we complained he never responded until after we left 4 weeks of this noise and dirt. No privacy if we chose to stay at the condo. The bathroom shower drain was discussing dirty black full of hair and smell. After cleaning it for two days much better. The kitchen sink also always smelled. They had a board over the burned countertop so it never dried up. We took up and dried it and left off. Kitchen needs new countertop. And oven or toaster oven to bake with. They should have more cuddle blankets as it gets cooler during the evenings also To use while watching TV or reading. They had two small gray ones and ugly covers over the couch all had to be washed they smelled. This vrbo was listed as a penthouse. It definitely is not. It is a small apartment with an old sofa and 6 small plastic chairs. Upon arrival we hoped this was not the building, but it was. It looks like an old low income apartment building. The security door code didn’t work so everybody just leaves the door open. There is no assigned parking so it’s the Wild West trying to find a place on the road to park, usually a block away. The trash and garbage go into a dumpster which is just outside the entrance with trash, broken glass, and building materials all around it on the ground. We totally loved Luz and Portugal. People are all so nice. Views breathe taking. Thank you The Barnes
