- Taxi Service vom Hotel sehr teuer
7.0 / 10.0

An absolutely fantastic place to stay with such an amazing view for the hills, jungle, pool and ocean.Very quite and really felt isolated from the outside World, so if you are looking to get away and intend to relax this is a great place for you.The bed was super comfortable and we managed to experience a storm passing by which was so calming. The bathroom was very spacious too with a lot of amenities. The staff was so kind and very helpful. The food was delicious and Frederick and Ed were just awesome. They also offer transportation if needed which is very handy and helpful.
Apart from the hilly and steep roads there is nothing to mention.

Stunning property and feels like complete luxury. Great facilities and the host and staff are fantastic.

Lovely building, great rooms and views!
Great staff
The location was tricky to get to and required a vehicle. Second highest swimming pool required a clean

The room as well as the view from the room was really nice. The breakfast was also quite nice (but it took forever and coffee always arrived 10 mins after the food). The pool was beautiful but quite small - luckily we were not too many guests at the hotel.
I do really hate to write negative stuff when it’s a small establishment and the owner was nice, but I do need to be honest because I would have liked to know this before I booked. I will try to make it short: 1) cleaning needs improvement (specifically bathroom, bathrobes, sink, kitchen, fridge). 2) food is not great (maybe we were unlucky?). 3) there seems to be no actual service staff (unlike the pictures?) except for the owner - he is the only one who speaks English and interacts with guests. On the pictures it looks like there is professional hotel staff, wearing uniforms and serving drinks etc. but we were surprised that it wasn’t so. 4) the “reception” is just their kitchen dining table, which was quite odd, and there were dishes everywhere in the kitchen.
To be honest it felt a bit weird, like you’re a guest in somebody’s private home - not a professional accommodation. I’m not saying this place is terrible - clearly some people love it. It’s just not what was advertised to us and we expected something else.

Amazing villa atop a mountain in Koh Samui. phenomenal view with two pools, taxi service, and food service (Fred and his wife can taxi and prepare food upon request but at their availability). We stayed in unit B8, which we argue is the best villa because it has a pool, mountain and ocean view, and it’s on the 2nd level so you have privacy.
The biggest downside is also the reason why it’s so phenomenal, which is being on mountain side. It’s difficult to get off the mountain unless you know how to scooter steep (I mean very steep) hills and can drive on the left side of the road. If you’re from North America this makes it very difficult and leaves you the option to ask Fred or his wife, or call a taxi. If asking Fred you’re at the behest of his availability and if you call a taxi you most likely will have to walk up the steep hill just so the taxi can reach you, but note not all taxi’s will drive up the mountain.

The room was lovely although you had all the open glass windows around the edge you could not leave the curtains open or you'd have zero privacy.
As an experienced traveller and a flight attendant of 15 years I have stayed in many hotels and other types of accommodation and I have a good understanding on how they should operate. Unfortunately I have quite a few bad points about this one.
1. The location really is out in the sticks. It should be made clear when booking that not all taxis will venture to this property where you will have to rely on using the hosts vehicle as a 'taxi'. I feel the host uses this to his advantage when pricing fares. We pre booked a grab taxi which we were quoted 350Baht due to there also being a 20% offer through the app to get to the airport. The host said they won't come to the property (even though we arrived via a grab taxi from the airport to the villa) but for fear of missing our flight from koh samui airport we booked with the hotel. He told us when paying our hotel bill he was charging us 800 baht for the taxi. I tried to negotiate this but he said it's because he had to get up at 5am. This should have been made clear when we told him of the time we needed to leave and there would be additional charges for him having to get up early.
2. Upon arrival there are no signs to advise where there is a reception area so you find yourself loitering around or hiking up and down steps to find someone. There are stepping like stones to get through the terrain some which are loose and I fell and bent my finger back and scraped my leg.
3. This is my most serious point. There is ZERO respect for privacy. We were on our honeymoon and we used the do not disturb sign on our door. This was completely ignored even after bringing it to the attention of the owner that someone kept coming into our room. They also kept turning our air-conditioning unit off which nowhere does it state it can't be left on. I felt uncomfortable that I could not shower or do anything else for the fear of someone walking in whenever they wanted to.

Absolutelly amazing place. The view is stunning! Staff very friendly, great food&drinks. You can rent a scooter at the villa - which you will probably need - its located very high on a hill :)

The quality of the restort isn't what I was expecting. The furnitures around the pool were very worn out and the chairs look quite dirty. Also the towels were dirty and stained. The slippers provided were used before which is shocking for a resort. They didn't resupply any toiletries when cleaning up the room where other hotels aren't resorts has done so.
The shower is cold even though we put it to the hottest setting.
Also it would be nice if breakfast started earlier at 7am.

the views were beautiful and stunning but that was all there was to it.
This place is terrible during rains, moss covered slope. very slippery and dangerous as the slope has no railing or stairs, I was lucky I didn’t fall off the hill. taxi can’t get in I had had to walk down long winding slope and literally ‘fell’ for the view had nasty wounds on foot and knee took me over a month to heal as very deep wounds. management staff were extremely rude and unhelpful. when I called them when I fell down it was only 6 plus in the evening they refused to come and help me. they claim no staff, the taxi driver heard me scream and came and helped me. hotel didn’t even have a proper first aid box, maybe 4 balls of cotton and an almost empty betadine bottle. zero bandaids much what I needed. the management lady was out right rude to me and yelled at me ‘you come alone you fall down’, only serving staff helped me. when I asked them if bandaids and first aid items could be arranged for me I was willing to pay for taxi up down all I needed was staff to help me pick it up from taxi as I’m too afraid and unable to climb slope with injured foot and knee and so afraid to slip and fall again. they refused to help, the other management staff was a Frenchman who refused to give his name he also being a man couldn’t go up that slope to help me get first aid items. they said we can arrange taxi but u go up the slope and get the items. surprisingly that day they didn’t have car at their disposal. in an emergency they can provide you little or no support. I was a solo traveler it was a real nightmare as I had no help. I wouldn’t recommend this place no safety concerns are met. no phone in room have to depend on them answering your call on WhatsApp. highly unprofessional. I ordered food which didn’t even come to my room and they don’t bother replying. please don’t waste your precious time or money here. this place is inaccessible.

nothing fabulous place to stay

The views.
The scooter rental was hassle free, no need for deposit of them to keep passport.
The people were really helpful. (An example was that a tour operator for our transfer to Phi Phi changed the pickup location last minute, which would have meant a very early start and long heavily laden walk. But the owner got up at 5.30am to take us to the location.)

The view and the design of the locatio is nice and greate. Also the Standart and Equipment for the room are nice and modern.
There is no pivacy, the rooms are close together and the infinity pool in front is nice but there are shared with other ones. So if you are in your room you have to close all curtains if you wish privacy
