Shower soap, shampoo was great!

We had the most wonderful stay at Santulan! My partner and I were remote working for the week and the hosts organised a table for us in our room to work from, and made us feel very comfortable. The breakfasts were AMAZING! I would highly recommend them and return in the future.
I liked everything :)

Great staff and breakfast. Cool architecture.

We had a wonderful experience staying here and were blown away with how beautiful the property and architecture is. The staff and breakfast were also great. Wish we had more time to take advantage of the yoga classes they offer.
The road to the property was stressful and difficult. You must have 4 wheel drive to get to the property.

FACILITIES: The facilities were great from the bedrooms, the walking areas, kitchen/shared living room space - they were beautifully designed, very comfortable and clean. Plus the views from the bedrooms are incredible.
BREAKFAST: The breakfast was delicious.
STAFF: The staff was really helpful and attentive
This is not really a reflection on Santulan but rather the entire Valle de Guadualupe but the roads are pretty rough especially when it rains. Going anywhere in Valle, you will go through dirt roads and there were a lot of mud puddles, so driving anywhere was a bit stressful because we were worried, we were going to get stuck in the mud (and of course on our last night, we did! but luckily, we managed to get out). If I were to go again, I wouldn't go to Valle during the rainy season and/or drive a big SUV or Truck.

The design of this location is beautiful, very well integrated with the natural landscape. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We love the shared communal spaces -we used them all (yoga, meditation, drinks in the lounge). We also loved little Frankie (pug dog of staff). The staff were all very friendly. The rooms were great and the heated floors perfect for the chilly March desert weather.
This isn't specific to the hotel, but the area - the roads! They are always rough roads, but with the recent weather the cracks were deeper than usual and there were pools of water that were disconcerting to drive through.

quiet. nice views. friendly staff
no jacuzzi or pool. roads almost inaccessible unless you have a 4 wheel drive and high clearance

beautiful and peaceful
I liked it all!

Loved the shower & layout of the room. Ladies always did a nice refresh every day. Love the view of the grape vines from the balcony! The staff was very attentive & super nice!
Our room (#6) floor heater wasn't working. Our patio door wouldn't lock. I believe people don't know which way to close or lock. There should be arrows telling people because they have broken it. Breakfast was good, but more options would be nice. Also, since all wineries have gourmet food, a Mexican style breakfast would of been a nice option. Like huevos rancheros.

I absolutely loved the staff and the breakfast! And the overall peacefulness of the location and the beauty of the space and the meditation room! The yoga was also incredible!
The only thing that could be better is the wifi and if there was some kind of snack bar. We go hungry at odd times and since it’s a bit off the beaten path, it felt a bit extensive to leave just for a snack. Chips and granola bars would be nice! And we would definitely pay more for wifi!
