About this house rental
Welcome to the family friendly community of Slaughter beach, DE where the preferred mode of transportation by the locals is a bicycle or a golf cart, so slow your roll and acclimate. Please feel free to bring yours along and be ready to sharpen your hand signaling skills.
Make the best of your time indoors and outdoors with the amenities at this updated home which sits on 3/4 of an acre of beach front property with unobstructed views. The U-shaped driveway provides ample space for parking pretty much anything (non-commercial) on wheels. A two car garage is also available for keeping your vehicle out of the elements. A 40A EV car charger (about 30miles for each hour of charging) is also available in the garage for your convenience.
For the water sports enthusiast, there's plenty of room to launch your kayak, a day sailer or even a catamaran. There's also a public boat ramp a stones throw away (yeah, you would need a pretty strong arm) to launch your jet ski, sloop or any motorized boat. For those who travel light, there are a couple of kayaks available to suit the occasion.
The inside features all the modern amenities and conveniences to make your stay comfortable. The kitchen features granite countertops with stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher and garbage disposal. You’ll never run out of hot water in the 2 newly remodeled spa-like bathrooms because of the tankless water heater with enough suds to spare on account of the whole house water softener. Both bathrooms also feature towel warmers and heated flooring for those nippy days. LED lighted mirrors are also available to shave or put your makeup on.
With 5 distinct outdoor sitting spaces, you can have your pick to suit the mood or the occasion. There’s a screened porch with water views, attached to an open deck with glass balusters with same unobstructed water views. For the early risers, these 2 spots on the east side of the property are perfect for watching the sunrise. Below deck is a wrap around brick patio with an informal outdoor shower to wash yourself off if engaged in any outdoor activities. Around the corner is a “Green Egg” charcoal grill for the grill aficionado, so get ready to put your grill on.
For the sunset lovers, there’s a dedicated deck on the west side of the property available for the occasion.

The value we got from this property was incredible! Beautiful sunrise and sunsets both viewable from the house. The deck was great to relax and read a book on. Sunroom was a great place for conversing with family. Bathrooms were very clean and had many neat features.

Great location to witness the world renowned horseshoe crab spawning and shorebird stopover. Close to Cape Henlopen State Park to fit in a day at the ocean beach.

Very economical in the off-season, all updated, modern amenities, as well as all linens, paper products, and kitchen basics. The house is very nice, but at least while we were there, the beach was inaccessible due to washed-up flotsam. The saltmarsh reserve is right across the street. There was a lot of local construction, but other than that, the neighborhood was quiet. Abubakar was extremely responsive to anything we asked for. But a very comfortable bed and up-to-date bathrooms made for a very pleasant stay. Loved the EV charger in the garage!

The house was great and the deck and screened in porch were awesome for enjoying the unseasonably warm temperatures we had for the weekend. We weren't able to use the speaker/music system because it was too complicated. The view was amazing from the house. However, we were not sure if it is a normal thing, but the beach in front of the house was disgusting - there was a covering of brown debris and horsehoe crab carcasses so there was not sand/beach to go out on. We did drive a little way down the road to a public access, but we were disappointed we didn't have beach access at the house. Overall, nice place!

The house was clean and well maintained. Master bedroom bed was very comfortable. Some of the other furniture was comfortable, some was not. Kitchen was adequately equipped, though pots, pans, dishes, and glasses could use reorganization and refresh.
The biggest issue was the beach. The main attraction to the house is that it is beachfront but the beach was unusable. It was completely covered with dead horseshoe crabs and crab shells from the shoreline to the dunes and as far as could be seen in either direction. The dead crabs smelled terrible and attracted black flies. When the tide went out the area that wasn't littered with the crabs was more stones than sand. We had to drive twenty minutes south to Broadkill Beach to get in any beach time. That was a deal breaker for us. The point to renting a beachfront house is to be able to walk out the door and enjoy the beach.

This fabulous home is the best rental we've ever experienced. We especially enjoyed the screened in porch, listening to the birds and enjoying the view of the Delaware Bay. Our hosts were fabulous too. So responsive and helpful. Will always remember it fondly! Yes, it was and is Nirvana! Thank you Abu!

Great house in a quiet location. The house had tons of things for us to use (ping pong table, beach cart, etc) and a wonderful outdoor space the kids loved.

Relaxing trip!
Great communication with owner, and he was a gracious host. Our favorite part of the house was the deck overlooking the bay. So comfortable and relaxing! We enjoyed the area and also visited Lewes, Broadkill, Rehoboth, and the DuPont Nature Center.

Wonderful home, location and host!
I just concluded a wonderful week at this absolutely lovely property. The house is beautiful and has a stunning view of Delaware Bay. The outdoor living space is exceptional, and features a variety of decks and patios to enjoy the gorgeous sunsets and sunrises. The house has been recently renovated and the inside is beautifully updated, very comfortable, and has gorgeous views from almost every room. It is also stocked with everything one needs to enjoy the perfect vacation. The owner was an incredibly gracious host and very responsive to all my questions and needs. This house is an absolute paradise for birders and nature-lovers such as myself. There are beautiful views of Delaware Bay in the back and Marvel Salt Marsh Preserve in the front. Slaughter Beach is known world-wide as a critical stopover for tens of thousands of migrating shorebirds. It is also near several wonderful National Wildlife Refuges, including Bombay Hook and Prime Hook. Slaughter Beach is a very quiet community, which for me was an absolute plus. That said, nightlife and any variety of dining one could wish for can be found with a 20 min drive. I could not have enjoyed my stay at this fantastic house more and will look very forward to returning next May!

Wonderful Place
The renovated getaway was wonderful. The owner was incredibly responsive to any questions before and during our stay. Heated bathroom floors, heated towel racks, beautiful recently renovated interior and wonderful screened in porch with exterior decks to view the beach and bay. The area is noted for it's bird sanctuary and didn't disappoint. An eagle flew low over the balcony the very first evening there. Garage spaces available as well. Very quiet and peaceful area to spend some down time.
