About this house rental

Delightful small beach house. Second year as a rental, lovely updates to entire house, comfortable furnishings and Bay views for miles! Fenced area for dogs.
We are Premier Hosts with our other Vrbo property at nearby Prime Hook Beach which is north of Lewes, DE. Relax and enjoy the 14 miles or so open water of the Delaware Bay out your windows. Waterfront deck with picnic table with lots of seating. Watch the ships at night anchored out in the Bay with their lights on. Enjoy the balmy breezes.

So you know, we do not furnish sheets and towels but have them available as rentals. Also, we have a pet fee of $100 per pet and we have an enclosed area with 3 foot high fencing for them to do their business. We have dogs as members of our family. If you plan to bring a boat we would appreciate it if it is
on the smaller size as we just had another layer of gravel put on our driveway and heavy vehicles don't do well..

Anne and Ron are the best hosts! Their house is spotless with a gorgeous view. Ron is so helpful if you want to rent kayaks. We always know coming here will include a very clean house, comfortable beds, generous hosts, and a relaxing atmosphere. It’s a wonderful place.

This is a quiet community right on the beach. The house was clean and had many amenities. It was great for two couples to cook our own meals, play games, watch the boats and sunsets. The path to the very quiet beach and the two chairs beside the beach were great. We enjoyed the picnic table on the deck. We enjoyed riding our own bikes on the quiet streets. We would love to return again.

This house was so lovely and artfully decorated. Everything was considered for comfort. The path to the beach was picturesque and short. Across the road is a beautiful salt water marsh. A 5 minute walk from the house takes you to a small boardwalk above the marsh. It is a quiet and peaceful place to watch birds and sunsets. We kayaked and paddle boarded during high tide on the sound side and also enjoyed some beach front swimming at Cape Henlopen State Park. The views are lovely from this home.

A perfect couples getaway. The area is so quiet and relaxing and the being right between the bay and the salt marsh was perfect for us. We are not big on swimming and the Delaware Bay, while not as inviting as the ocean beaches just south, more than made up for rocky shores with wonderful wildlife sightings, including a mass spawning if horseshoe crabs, terrapins roaming all over (including a momma who dug a nest and laid her eggs right next to the house), herons and even a pair of bald eagles at the beach. The house is comfortable and exceptionally well equipped and tastefully decorated, reflecting the experience and thoughtfulness of the owners. The recent updates to the property check pretty much every box, and owners are super responsive and focused a making your stay a great one. The place truly is pet friendly, and the idyllic setting allowed our somewhat nervous rescue dog to let his guard down and live his best life - sunning on the gated deck, prancing in the fenced yard, and joining us for morning walks on the beach. Plenty of good places to eat and shopping within 15 minutes (Milford) and a nice guide book in the house to get you started. But don’t shop before you see what the house has - such a collection of condiments, spices and even coffee and tea! I could say so much more but want to get this posted. 5 stars plus!

We had an absolute fabulous week at this lovely house despite the less than ideal weather pattern. The view of the bay and wildlife keep us entertained for hours. We loved watching a bunch of rabbits play chase each day. Lots of pretty song birds. You have everything you need at this house and the owners are extrodinary. It was outstanding for my dog as well. Everyone in the area is so friendly. We loved the more remote location and when you want to do other things it is a short drive. We can not want to return.

A very cute house that was the perfect size for us, and it was even cuter than the pictures! The view of the ocean was spectacular. They also had a great small fenced in area that was perfect for our dogs, which made traveling with our pets so easy! The hosts were very kind and easy to contact. Would definitely recommend to anyone that wants a peaceful getaway and a break from the hustle and bustle.

We enjoyed watching the sunrise over the bay and sunset over the marsh everyday. The pleasing decor, well appointed furnishings, and amenities made it a very comfortable stay. We highly recommend this property!

This was a special trip for my ma’s 87th birthday. This peaceful Bay Area and this home was exactly what we were looking for.. it was a beautifully appointed home that we enjoyed thoroughly. I did not want to leave. You look out to the day for the most beautiful sunrises, and on the back deck, the most awesome glorious sunsets across the nature preserve. Can’t wait to go back. Adorable house right on Slaughter Beach. the inside is very cozy and painted with cute beach colors. Our weather wasn’t the best with high winds and rain from a tropical storm, but it was still lovely watching the storm outside through the large windows that overlooked the beach and dunes. Very comfortable. You do need to bring your own towels and sheets. overall a very relaxing stay!

Very nice property right on Delaware Bay. The owners have tastefully decorated the house with a beachy theme. The house was spotless with some nice unexpected extras like k-cups and essential seasonings in case you forget to bring your own. The front and rear views for sunrise and sunset are gorgeous and we made it a point to try to catch both every day. Ron was very responsive and a pleasure to meet him when he greeted us right after we checked in. We especially loved the peace and quiet of Slaughter Beach for a relaxing stay.

Beautiful cottage and very clean! Plenty of space for our family of 4. The views are spectacular and the access to the beach is wonderful. It was our first time to Slaughter Beach so weren’t sure what to expect, but we loved it! Lots of rocks and wildlife which our kids really enjoyed. There was almost no one on the beach so it felt so private! Thank you for a great stay!

We had an amazing time with our family staying at Ron's property. We had everything we needed, the place was very clean, and the views were simply amazing. Loved drinking coffee in the morning from the deck, and watching the watermen work their boats. We enjoyed the fishing and crabbing, and our trips were very successful! Newly renovated public boat ramps are less than 5 mins of this property which is so convenient if you want to launch your boat. Beaches are withinin a 1/2 hr drive +/-, which the kids loved as well. We could not have had a more enjoyable and relaxing time.

Great location, quaint cottage! Check in/out times varied, notification of utilizing own linens after booking, lack of curtains/shades made privacy & sleeping challenging. Overall lovely spot, few updates would make it perfect!!!

We had an amazing time on our trip. The house was very clean, comfortable, and well stocked. Outside area has gorgeous views and path to quiet beach. We loved watching the sunrise and sunset, and walking with our dog and baby on the beach. All my communication with Ron was extremely pleasant. Would definitely stay again!

This is an incredible quiet place right on the bay. Our weekend trip was made perfect. The house was immaculate and spacious. Plenty of room to spread out, but yet cozy. The views of the bay are awesome, another view is off the bedroom deck which is perfect to relax and have your morning coffee. Full kitchen and appliances were ready to go to make dinner at home, and an awesome washer/dryer to use if needed. Would definitely stay here again/communication with host was quick.

Very lovely home, with all amenities one could need. The owners thought of everything, including sleep masks for use in the sky-lit master bedroom and a lighted path to the bay for late night walks. Cozy, clean, and considerate attention to detail!
