Perfect spot to enjoy beach with very few people. Dogs had a blast.

The ocean view is down a straight hill. Then a sharp 90 and down some more . Climb down a pallet to get to the ocean. Then up the steep hill to the Chalet to get back. Not for someone who has had knee, hip or back problems but nothing mentioned about that when booking. When I got there the house had dog hair everywhere. White hair was everywhere. The tv was not working after leaving a message for Rose and nobody getting back to me for 24 hrs. I called the emergency number and they sent someone over to fix it. Wasn't hooked up right and the remote batteries were dead. The next morning woke up to take a shower water was cold. Had to flip the breaker just to get hot water. Needless to say was glad to see the end of our stay at this one. We will see if I book through here again or not.

It was nice & private from the chalets all the way down to the beach!!

Lovely trail to beach, wonderful for dogs/dog owners and a delightful campfire area. The chalet could use some new furniture, upgrades and repair. The bed on the main floor is semi comfortable with a foam pad on top of mattress so unbreathable/sweaty sleeping. Would recommend if you’re ok with a more rustic stay.

What a great location, the beach is a fun little hike from the cabin. Really comfortable beds. Nice people everywhere.

The cabin was nice and clean and had been updated from what the pictures show so that was a nice surprise. There were a couple small issues, the blinds to the main window had been broken and the carpet on the stairs could be tacked down a little better. But all in all a nice place to stay Only 10 min drive to Newport. My family definitely enjoyed our stay and will be planning a trip back soon.

Girls weekend
My 17-year-old daughter and myself stayed here for three nights for spring break. Although the cabin was dated and needed some work, the shower was new and very clean and the kitchen counters and refrigerator work clean. We took our dog and felt very comfortable with him there. There is a short walk to the beach which is on a lovely trail. If you walk towards the devil's punch bowl you can go up steps and visit a very delightful coffee House.

Cozy but had some issues
Great location, loved that the kitchen includes all the necessities. Problems: it took an hour to get the fridge to turn on, outlet on other side of kitchen needed reset. Shower wouldn’t drain. Very outdated and dirty- under couch was disgusting, spider webs all over and dusty, even simple things like a broken clock aren’t taken care of.

Nice but Needs Updating
For many years our family used to stay at the Alpine Chalets, but we haven’t been back in years. So, I was really excited to see that this cabin was available for rent on Vacasa. The cabin was just as I remembered (Including the same picture of a sea otter hanging on the back wall that has been there since the 90’s), however it clearly has not been updated or given the attention it needs. It was decent for a few days, but the whole experience would have been so much more enjoyable with a few modern updates and fixes.

Loved the location and easy access to the beach. Comfortable inside. Good WiFi.

lovely little getaway 💛
The check in was a bit late maybe bumping that up to 2pm would be nice but I know only a couple people are stuck cleaning all 11 chalets. Loved this place and the beach was super close a nice little walk down. I had an emergency so didn't get to stay my whole stay but I would love to visit again. Great location in between depoe Bay and Newport.

This was an Akzo place to stay!
This place was clean and beautiful. It was cheaper than staying in a hotel. And I did like that no one came into are rental while we stayed there. The only thing I did have an issue with is that they did not leave clean towels daily. We did ask for them and they were very accommodating to us. Will definitely bring staying at more locations.

Chalet Get-aWay
Well equipped, clean.
Very outdated.
Did not expect only access to bathroom to be through bedroom. With 4 adults…
Nice beach access.
Fan did not work.
But, overall, it was fine. I do think it needs some updating.

Mother's day weekend get away
Loved the views of the ocean and beach, the Chalet was clean and definitely comfortable. The whole stay was a wonderful experience for my mother and me for her mother's day weekend get away. Just wish the trip was longer! The grounds keeper is a really nice guy and very helpful. The place has an extremely beautiful landscape and back drop, coupled with cozy inside settings, comfortable beds, and a feeling of home away from home. It was easy to relax here and I plan to visit again!

Nice
It was clean and pleasant inside. The heater works well, which is a real plus at the Oregon coast!

Good vibes.
The location is an easy commute to and from Newport, and has great access to the beach with a wide foot path that passes a fire pit and then several picnic tables. A bench is staged on the bluff and affords a perfect sunset viewing spot. Close to Devil’s Punch Bowl (and Mo’s Chowder). A relaxing experience all around. This unit has some street noise from 101, but for us, it was no bother.

Alpine chalets #11
You could replace the broken mini-blinds hanging in the front window. It gives a poor first impression and lack of privacy. Other than that the place was charming.

Great little comfy a-frame!
It was an ideal space for a couple and pup for a couple of days. It was very comfy and cozy and loved the quick walk down to the beach, and the nice wooded hang-out area. Just a couple of small complaints - the unit we stayed in didn't have a way to turn the light off on the ceiling fan while still keeping the fan on, and the light was a super bright cold color. Also - in a climate that is generally damp, more than 2 kitchen towels would be greatly appreciated! Also, like seemingly every rental, the shower drain needs snaking, it's very slow (hair snares are so easy and cheap, I don't know why more rentals don't use them). But we LOVED our time here and will likely be back!

Great Stay!
I Loved the Weather! The Beach was so great, it's super privet, no need to worry about social distancing here!!
The Cabin was SUPERCLEAN, I’m not sure what others Are talking about. The air-conditioning in the cabin worked wonderful, again, I’m not sure what others are talking about. We brought our two labradors and they love to run on the path through the woods down to the beach, it seems like you could run for miles On That beach! Next time we come we’re staying for A full week!

It's my Dog-Friendly Happy Place!
It's a beachy beach cabin and I love how comfortable it is!
You have a park like setting to have a picnic, and if we want to go down to the beach, we just follow the pathway through the woods. It is a beautiful setting! We have been going there for 7 years.

Midweek Beach Trip
I wanted my sister (who is new to the Oregon/Washington area), to be able to enjoy an off-season couple days exploring the Lincoln City and Newport areas. The trip was great! The cabin was perfect and she loved the area!

good times
the rental was great, I will point out the little stuff to help make it a better experience, even with these little things existing I would rent it again for sure.
1. the bathtub does not drain : end up standing in water
2. windows that don't lock, the pole on the front windows needs to be longer
3. when you use the microwave it trips the breaker
4.the bedroom main light switch docent work, touchey
5. the large hardware holding up the stars has started to back out.

Hidden Gem
We just stayed at the Alpine Chalet. We loved it. Cute private community. Private beach access. There was even a dog dish and clean-up bags for our dog! It was close to town and other activities. We will defiantly be coming back...but may need a different unit since more family wants to tag along!

A Piece of Heaven
We found a piece of Heaven tucked-in into nature.
It took me back to my girl scouts era, when we camped at chalet like cabins and hiked down/up to the beach.
The only difference was that this time, I have a tiny detail of impediment to add. I wear a prosthesis on an amputated leg, and I am 5 decades older.
We didn't use the loft area. But we loved our stay on the first floor of #11
It was Samantha's 1st beach trip. Samantha is my fur missile baby. She is snuggly and sweet German shepherd dog.
My hubby is snuggly too. He was my shoulder to grab onto to walk down to and up from the beach.
He took pictures along the way, to prove that if I did it, you can do it better with your very own 2 stable legs.
The beach is very private. The chalet neighbors are very respectful. There is a 2 car parking per chalet.
Otter Rock is not far from Newport where you can shop for food in grocery stores or restaurants.
We had delicious grilled meats and veggies while we stayed in.
We enjoyed taking Sam to the park, and other beach accesses. We ate at our favorite restaurant in Newport. Gino's.
Gas stations in Newport are cheaper than in Lincoln city. So, we made a lot of trips into town.
The Chalets are in a such awesome central area, you can explore the coast one way or the other, no problem. In a car, on foot, motorcycle or bicycle.
I can't wait to reserve this place again!

Do not stay here!
Location is the only great thing about this place. I had read the previous reviews and wanted to believe that the problems had been fixed. The manager Lance was quick to point out he took care of the outside. Anything past the door was the owners responsibility who is in Missouri. The minute the door opened the mildew smell hit us. Then the dirty rugs and floor we’re terrble. I cleaned for an hour only to discover shameful problems. Mouse dropping’s and black mold. They had covered the mold partially with white paint. They did a bad job to say the least. We stripped the beds and used our own linens due to hair and bugs. I am a VRBO owner and am upset that this is allowed to be rented. We left on day 2. It is unsafe and unclean. A refund would be the only positive thing that could happen. I’m not sure who collects the cleaning fee. I deserve to be paid that seeing how I cleaned more than anyone had in months.

Great location, but old, tattered and not clean
This location is great, but there were about 10 years worth of long cobwebs hanging from the ceiling, the couch was grossly stained and had large tears with the foam showing. Desperately need new furniture, couch and chairs were so old and not comfortable. Bathroom had mold on ceiling and in shower. Blinds had pieces missing. We just stayed out and about as long as possible and just slept at the chalet as it was kinda gross and uncomfortable to hang out there. Sad, there’s a lot of potential, new furniture and a deep, deep clean and it could be a cute little place. We are not super picky but we’re very disappointed. Perhaps that’s what to except for the low price per night, but . . . Not sure if all the chalets were this way?

Nice spot with beach access but cabin had some issues.
The lock on the cabin door was incredibly frustrating to use. We would stand there for 2-3 minutes each time, wiggling the key in the lock and hoping it would eventually open. There was sand in the downstairs bed, and all the blankets had human and animal hair all over them.
