So the room was incredible, the view from the balcony was uninterrupted, and the screen door meant I could leave the door open for a while to relax in the room with the sound of the ocean. The King Loft room was luxurious and huge, spotlessly clean and a comfortable bed. Now, the downsides. I booked for 3 nights, well in advance. As there is no daily housekeeping service, the one night for one person toiletries was not adequate. Housekeeping should stock the room for the booked stay, I had to go to the front desk a couple of times for re-stocks. The 'Restaurant' on site is only open three days a week and closes quite early. This need to be made clear, or even remove the Restaurant from the property details, it's really misleading. I had expected I'd be able to get breakfast there and evening meals. As it was, it was open for a few hours at the beginning of my stay and closed for the rest. I got a very mediocre Pizza from the restaurant, then had to self cater for the rest of the stay, so an unexpected trip back to town for breakfast items. Getting around is not easy. Parking is so far from most rooms, always involving a steep hill, and having to rely on the Bellman in a golf cart (with the constant need to tip) is not really a good experience. My room was clearly part of a more recent addition to the venue. Other condos in the area looked like they may be a bit run down.

All was wonderful. Just a problems that would save you from guest accidents. We went to take a hot tub, but coming out of the dressing room, to go to the hot tub the concrete was extremely slippery. A mat would greatly improve the situation. Thank you for the stay.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The property was in a good location with a good view of the ocean. The balcony however, was not private at all. Not only does the next room over have access, the loft room above has windows that look right onto your balcony. What we found completely unacceptable was the fact that the room was adjoined to another and instead of a solid door line every other hotel I’ve been in, there was a pocket door. Completely unsealed, and with a gap that could be seen through. They were polite neighbors and were not being loud in the slightest, yet it was as if they weee in our room talking. The crying baby was an even nicer touch. I love babies, but not when the Mrs and I are trying to get away at the beach. The price was appropriate for the location, perhaps, but definitely did not deliver the value expected. I think privacy is a reasonable expectation and this room did not have that at all. Again, the staff was nice and seemingly hard working, but the lack of privacy prevents me from ever considering a stay there again.

Room was decent and view was amazing but was disappointed with a few things. 1. Kids above us screaming and stomping and woke up very early which means so did we. 2. Room didn’t have a hair dryer (not all do), ice bucket was broken and no liner so didn’t know if they even bothered to replace it from last guest. Had to keep in the sink if we wanted ice. 3. Walls so thin we could hear people next door like they were in the same room with us. 4. Wind so bad at night was blowing the partition on balcony. It was so loud we could barely sleep and then up super early from the kids upstairs made it not a very nice stay at all. I work hard and just wanted a nice relaxing weekend.

Was extremely unhappy that i called and questioned stairs to the beach for a family member with trouble walking. I even explained the specific unit i was looking to rent, and was never told there are at least 50 stairs just to get to the unit. In addition i rented the home with two bedrooms and a jacuzzi tub. There were no blinds on.the windows of the bedroom or near the jacuzzi tub so anyone could just watch us. Lastly the temperatures dropped fown to 55 degrees and it was cold and rainy and there was no heat in.the house. Only the downstairs fireplace that did not even heat the down stairs. For those looking to rent in the summer there is also not ac. Only a ln exhaust vent in the bedroom to pull out heat.

The walls are paper thin. We could hear EVERYTHING our neighbors in the next room were doing. Their kids were loud, which is fine with us. But I was shocked at how much the noise traveled. Felt like they were in the room with us.

This property is stunning located high above the coast north of Newport. Very lush green and tropical.Would definitely spend the extra money next time for an ocean view room to have more sunlight, sunset and coastal ambience.

Otter crest was great, the studio we were in had lovely views and was well taken care of. The heat was confusing as fall was upon us early. Every room had a wall unit with its own power/temp dial, but none worked. a quick call pointed us to a "hidden' thermostat near the dark entrance that controlled it all. kinda of a duh moment. We got pizza from the restaurant and it was good. The one annoyance was that coffee was provided, but there were no coffee filters.

A beautiful off the beaten path but older place. No elevators so must haul luggage up several stairs depending on where you stay. They do offer help to haul luggage to room if needed.

The pool here is warm and delightfully relaxing. We had dinner at the on propwrty restaurant and it was delicious. All in all we had a successful trip, however there were a few things that detracted from the great time we were having. Unfortunately our ocean view room had veryyyyy limited view of the ocean and there was a broken hook in the bathroom and broken handle to the closet. Our beds were not comfortable. Weve stayed here before where everything was perfect and we saw whales from our room. It was disappointing to see that you had to go outside to see the ocean and all the little broken things made the room feel run down.

Room was nice and clean and beds comfy. Room was up a steep hill…..need to be fit , however there is a cart that will collect you and take you to your room. Restaurant was not open whilst we were there so cannot comment on that. The grounds are lovely and very well cared for . Nice to walk up with sn ocean view.
