We were in Harrogate for a conference, and it was wonderful to have a comfortable place to come back to after a long day. Thank you Marie-Therese for making us welcome. Artists Cottage is clean, well equipped and comfy, an ideal base which exceeded our expectations.
Nothing.
4.5
The tasteful decor, comfy beds, well equipped kitchen. The log burner, efficient showers, and the record player with albums provided. A lovely selection of Portfolio hardback classics and lovely artworks for sale and as decor. The location for the centre is fantastic and the surrounding area good for dog walking.
It is mentioned in the information but the property is 19century and has very steep and shallow tread stairs. Care is needed when

there’s the option to make the traditional fire with logs. Cooking facilities was spot on
the bed was comfortable., with white fresh linenthe location is convenient. ,follow easy instructions sent by Marie and your good .
The welcome chocolate biscuits and milk is such a special touch! and a well thought gesture .
from a cold wintering outside to nice treats was so heart warming .
The family run business puts a lot of thought and lasting first impressions until the end of the stay,
do not hesitate to look into their own website for more properties.. l highly recommend ARTISTS’ COTTAGES!

We were greeted by the host who was very helpful and accommodating.
Value for money we paid a five star price for a three star product. Poor maintenance and generally poor cleaning standards.

This cottage is in a very quiet location down a small lane between two streets. Had everything one needs. it’s very handy to shops and Hornbeam train station .
The stairs to the bedroom are carpeted but slippery. I nearly slipped and my partner did , resulting in a big bruise on his back . There needs to be some sort of anti slip strips put in . We had booked in for 20 days but no one came to clean or change linen as was the in the description .

location, comfort, welcoming, flexible 10/10
a little noisy being close to the train lines but they didn’t run all night.

This an excellent property, the kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need, it’s really comfortable in the living room and the beds are excellent!!
All very clean with excellent well considered decor..
The stairs are very steep and need to be negotiated with care!

Charming property, very well equipped kitchen and utility.
Very helpful hosts offering a pre-arrival conversation to check the property would be right for us.
Not a dislike, but an observation: a warning/reminder about Harrogate's TV reception being affected by the transmitter fire and then we could have brought a smart TV box with us.

Beds were very comfortable. Well equipped kitchen. Dogs were accepted. Friendly welcome from property manager. High quality feel to the linen, sheet and furniture.
With just a few tweaks, this property would be much better value. Obviously prices are high to match the increased demand at the moment, but expectations have risen too. We would have rated the property even higher if, for example, there had been some hand soap in the toilet, and some spare cupboards to store food.
Similarly, some maintenance to the fixtures would be useful. For example, the toilet seat was loose; the drains in the back yard overflow when shower or bath water is released, the bath panel is not fitting and the exterior lighting needs fixing.
Furthermore, the communication would be more welcoming with some rewording and amending the conditions (eg. being fined for non-compliance with a two hour check-in window; being fined if the sheets or towels are washed; having to strip the beds etc). In comparison with the several other holiday rentals they seem officious and unfriendly.

Great location to easily travel to various locations for day trips. The house was extremely comfortable and very cosy. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and kitchenware. Very modern and reliable appliances. The area was quiet with nice friendly neighbours. It was close to town which made it easy to access all that Harrogate had to offer.
Nothing I can think of!

Can’t fault the property in any way

Nice inside for a cottage style property.
Dusty under the beds and in some areas perhaps from lockdown. Kerb appeal poor and street not so good.
