Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay with a good breakfast.

Friendly staff and beautiful comfortable bed . Lovely room and not too hot during the night - although the window was ajar when we entered and we left it that way.

The only downside was the room was a little far, considering my mother is 85 with stairs up and down to get to it.

Very tired on leaving,lack of sleep due to noisy floorboards

Did not have breakfast.Room was very clean,shower excellent.

Room above needs new floor.Creaking floorboards very noisy.Reception on arrival very abrupt.Did not speak to another member of staff until we checked out after three nights! Atmosphere in the hotel was not very inviting

Great location for a weekend break

Great location, all areas exceptionally clean.

Had a single room which was clean and comfortable but very hot even with the windows open. Also next to a service chute which was very noisy. Exit from the car park not good as the road is in disrepair causing a large dip which meant catching the front lip of the car.

Overall very good. Easy access to RHS Gardens (walking distance)

Hotel was clean and tidy. Breakfast was very good with little wait.Hotel was situated close to Harrogate centre.

First night was noisy with street noise going on until 1am.

A really nice change from the normal big chain hotels - highly recommended

Excellent small hotel - lovely property - friendly and helpful staff - superb Yorkshire breakfast!

the only slight issue was that the water pressure in the shower was a bit variable. It was fine most of the time but it was a bit tricky having a decent shower during the early morning 'busy' period. However, that might just have been my room.

Convenient for town and a very pleasant place to stay.

Very pleasant stay. Room a bit small but otherwise very comfortable and clean. Excellent breakfast. Very helpful staff.

Nothing really. Perhaps the room (1) felt a bit tucked away in a corner, but the location was hardly going to provide views over the countryside.

A grand place to stay in the heart of Harrogate

Lovely furnished room with good sized bed. Great room view. Great breakfast.

Could hear an other resident racking key and going in to room around midnight.

Convenient stopover for Harrogate Town Centre and adjoining areas

The hotel was a very short walk to the town centre and you did not hear too much noise from outside. It also benefitted from having a car park, although some spaces are a bit tight and require expert manoeuvring to fit in. The hotel serves breakfast but I cannot comment on that as I booked on a room only basis. The WiFi signal in the room was good. The bathroom had underfloor heating too. Unlike many hotels, my room was refreshed on both days I was there (bed made, refreshments topped up, bin emptied, used towels changed, etc.) and not just when I arrived, which was appreciated. The room was comfortable temperature-wise and had a very high ceiling.

Being an older building, noise suppression from other rooms is not as good as a more modern construction. I could hear people moving about above me because the floor boards squeaked and somebody snoring all night on the first night in a nearby room. The television in the room was extremely small and far away. Maybe it was me, but I could not get rid of the subtitles either. There was no fan or air conditioning so the room may get hot in the summer.

Excellent, would stay here again. Brilliant breakfast, lovely staff. Room and bathroom were big and very clean.

Rear car park entrance/exit a bit steep/bumpy.

Lovely staff and very nice and welcoming accommodation. Very well presented room and clean and tidy.

The shower in our room was quite difficult to use... Either very hot or very cold, no pressure and not very nice to use but easily remidied if you don't mind having a bath!

I stsyed at West Park in July and I would give 11 where Ascot would give 2.

The room was reasonable but no fridge. Cleaners were very good, kind and did there job immaculately.

The staff who received me and served breakfast was unfriendly. Although breakfast is supposed to be served from 07.30 hrs on Saturday and Sunday the breakfast room is not open until 08.00 hrs. Last two days of my stay I did not have breakfast. Staff were in the kitchen and one could smell the toast so why they would not ket guests in is not clear.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely and although I ordered a slightly different mix than was offered on menu there was no problem and it came beautifully cooked.
