Peaceful oasis with all the amenities you could ask for.

Beautiful accommodation. The sound of the rainforest was incredibly peaceful to fall asleep to. The hosts are wonderful and happy to offer local suggestions. Highly recommend this hidden gem!

It's ok, not great.

Staff were lovely, pool area was nice, unique treehouse cabin was a novelty, 10 mins from town centre, grounds and forest were beautiful location. Liked that only two cabins on the property so felt very private, especially as we were only couple for 2 nights.

As others have said, it is not clean enough. Shower had soap scum, dust and cobwebs throughout, toilet wall does not reach ceiling so no privacy, doors do not close properly so big gaps that lets bugs in, dirty cutlery. Everything just needed a good clean so this felt like glamping more than a luxe getaway! On top of that, our room was not serviced at all for our 3 night stay which was a shock. Common area by pool is nice but there is no TV as per photos, and limited complimentary items. Was some old cereal available by the pool for breakfast but that was it. No welcome instructions so we didn't realise there was wifi until morning we checked out. Outside light was broken, which they did ask if was bothering us, but it was unable to be fixed during our stay, and as there are no blinds it was a bit annoying. Oh, and as no blinds the top cabin can see into the bottom cabin and the sun will wake you up. There is also no place to hang up or store your clothes and room is smaller than it appears in pics. For the price i would expect better.

Einzigartiges Erlebnis: Eine Übernachtung direkt am Daintree Regenwald! Der offene Blick des Schlafzimmers geht direkt in den Regenwald. Schlafen bei den Klängen des Waldes. Wahnsinn! Muss man erlebt haben! Dazu noch ein schöner Pool unter den Baumkronen.

Relaxing rainforest retreat

Waking up with the forest outside our door every day was like a dream! It's the most amazing place, it has everything you need for a relaxing stay, after we got back from exploring rainforests and waterfalls we loved coming back and having a swim and a spa bath, and the bed was so comfy and we enjoyed a whole day of just lazing around the room, it was so cosy and we loved every minute, the owners were also so helpful and lovely, we were on our honeymoon and they brought us up a bottle of champagne, we would definitely stay again!

Above and beyond, the hosts were so friendly and accomodating the stay was exceptional!

Hands down, the best accomodation I have been to in all my travels, the views were stunning, the room was intimate and so comfy! The hosts were so welcoming and really covered many little aspects of accomodation that make such an impact. Everyone has been asking where I stayed, I can’t begin to recommend anywhere else but here!

Heaven on Earth, tranquillity, beauty & peace set amongst the rainforest true mother nature.

The peace and tranquility of the rainforest. The location - the beautiful cabin. I loved every moment and a bonus it rained. I just love the rain on the tin roof has such a calming effect. Cannot fault this cabin in any way. Host was beautiful as was her beautiful property. The pool area, the bbq facilities all so well thought out. Beautiful. I highly recommend for a romantic getaway in a wonderful location. Location is great as you can be in the rainforest and drive to nearby Cairns to the city life - unlike Sydney's hussle and bussle which was nice.

I have no faults - both my partner and I loved it.

Exceptional

We loved the unique accommodation...it felt so secluded amongst the stunning natural settings and yet we were only a short 7 minute drive to Cairns City. Was well maintained, clean and we had everything you would need. Host was very welcoming...we would highly recommend to any couple!

Tranquil perfection!

Absolutely loved the tranquility of this amazing “tree house”! The view from the bed into the rainforest canopy was simply stunning. The inclusion of a coffee maker and delicious coffee was fantastic. The shared pool facilities looked gorgeous (but it was too cool to swim while I was there). Will definitely be back to stay again.

You will need a hire car, Uber or cab to get to restaurants.

Lovley, private, and a unique place to stay in Cairns

we love that it was an oasis at the edge of the rainforest. the owner told us that the previous owner brought in the wood from Bali to create the huts. it was extremely well done. it was quiet and private. it’s very unique and although outside the CBD, it’s only a short drive via Uber if you don’t have a car.

well..there are bugs. you are in the forest after all. we enjoyed having the doors open for a short time but those pesky little flies do come inside so be prepared to see a few.

Beautiful view and excellant hosts

Absolutely beautiful view. Ben and Antje were also excellent hosts. Great value for money and well worth it. The room we stayed in overlooked the rainforest and it was a great view to wake up to every morning.

Ideal fairytale escape to the rainforest !

We loved our stay here. It was a beautiful experience being immersed in the rainforest so close to Cairns. The cabin was beautiful. It was like a fairytale! We loved swimming in the pool !

unique, luxury and amazing accomodation

after traveling Australia in a campervan, this was the perfect accommodation to relax and enjoy all the luxury it offers. we were lovely welcomed upon arrival and contact with the hosts was very easy and pleasant. the breakfast was really good! and also the views on the rainforest were amazing, the large windows made it possible to enjoy the views from bed.

The location is excellent—the staff was nice but they need more dedication to upkeep the property.

The environment. The bathtub.

Not clean, especially under the bed. Toilet walls do not go up to the ceiling, More privacy needed. The BBQ grill was not working, the first two days. Internet was not working for the first two days.

was a great experience, we really love the place and we’re more than well accommodated, just a couple of privacy issues

we loved the rainforest and cabin style feel with the stream flowing by us..☺️

2 uncomfortable things that can be fixed.. most importantly is blinds.. even pull down ones.. the cabin above us can see straight to our bed and we can do anything for ‘privacy’… 2 is also the toilet is completely open to the room so needs to be extended to ceiling or a roof on top.. So privacy between between not just other guests but even our toilet use with each other was not great..

Lovely but away from city center and restaurants.

Location was in residential neighborhood in a cabin set in the rain forest. Having a car would be useful.

No complaints. Cabin was fully equipped and cozy. Swimming pool available.

Fabulous stay at Cairns Rainforest Retreat

We stayed at the Retreat for three nights. It was a spectacular experience : a real tree house in the rainforest with a luxury feel. The hosts Antje and Ben did everything to make us feel welcome and make our stay special and romantic. We enjoyed the swimming pool, the jacuzzi bath and the privacy of the property. Most enjoyable was the surrounding rainforest and nature. We also enjoyed a complimentary breakfast which was of great quality. Loved the small touches like L’Occitaine toiletries, the comfortable bed and the quality of the linen. We learnt about the retreat from our friends words by mouth and we strongly recommend the Cairns Rainforest Retreat. Thank you Antje, Ben and Antje’s mum.

Best accomodation I have ever stayed at. The view from our room was magical. The bed was so comfortable it felt like I was floating on a cloud. Antje and Ben were so polite and extremely helpful.

Beautiful retreat

Beautiful location, private, yet close enough to central cairns. All the home comforts with air conditioning, TV and wifi, yet feeling like your in the middle of the rainforest. Great facilities for self catering. Host Antje was very friendly and on hand for anything we could have needed. Definitely a thousand times better than a commercial B&B or hotel.

Very good

The hosts were very helpful and assisted us with anything right away. They also provided a lovely breakfast. The pool area is beautiful and very relaxing. We enjoyed listening to the sounds of the rainforest from our room. There were many amenities close by and only a short drive into Cairns.

The shower pressure was the main downside in terms of facilities. Another cooking facility/bbq would also be handy as you are sharing this with another couple.

AMAZING!

Daily breakfast options were wonderful and fresh. The grounds were stunning. You were really able to bring the inside out. The room was cosy. Felt very private. Exceptional service. Sad we had to leave.

Nothing of any substance. An extra sleeping pillow would be nice but not essential.
