We flew in from MN for a weekend stay! The house was beautiful, clean and located in a quiet neighborhood. I would highly recommend this property to anyone! We had a family of 5 and it fit us perfect!

Lovely and well stocked older home in a residential neighborhood. Communication with the property manager was excellent! The home does not have A/C but does have lots of fans and comfort was not an issue. We hope to return

Such a sweet place! We really loved it. The only drawbacks were the lack of air conditioning (we were there during a heat wave) and the people renting the place out back had a screaming child. We would definately stay there again.

We enjoyed staying at bette's beach House with our family of 4 adults and 2 kids. great location, Quiet neighborhood, comfy house and nice remodeled kitchen and baths. Can be a little hot in summer with no A/C but not bad if you open windows and use fans.

Great location. Beautiful home
Well appointed. Well stocked. Great location.
The windows and screens could use updating. Don’t seat or stay open. The living room rug is well worn and Trip point especially for our 16 month old granddaughter. Overall great location

Great family vacation home
Upon entering this vacation home we were blown away at how much bigger it was than it looked from the street. Two living areas, BIG kitchen, nice sized bedrooms and two and a half baths! Perfect size for our family. The back yard was beautiful. I loved having my coffee there every morning. Walking to the beach was a breeze. Although the Windansea beach is really not for kiddos. Lots of hidden rocks in the water. I suggest, with kids, La Jolla shores beach, Pacific beach, Mission Beach or the Bay Area. The house does NOT have air conditioning and it got pretty warm in the house, even with all the fans and windows left open all the time. Owners should really consider some window units as this area is getting warmer and warmer each time we go and we’ve been visiting San Diego several times a year for the last 25 years. Otherwise, the home is absolutely lovely!

Delightful Beach House
This beach house is just charming. It lives larger than the photos. Clean as a whistle. We shared it with another couple -- so 4 adults and 4 young children total and it worked great. The breakfast nook was perfect for feeding kids as well as late night card playing. A pocket door closes the hall with bedrooms off from the main house, which was great for naps and varying bedtimes. The yard is lush and full of beautiful flowers. It is NOT fully fenced. The street is more of an alley so low traffic. The kids loved climbing on the rocks of the local beach, and then a short drive away is your more classic beach experience at La Jolla Cove. Overall a wonderful good time.

Bette's Beach House - Best ever!
Bette's Beach House was the best rental I have ever experienced. It had everything you could possibly want - lots of space, a fully equipped kitchen, comfy bedrooms, beautiful bathrooms. Being on a back street was nice because it was so quiet. And, within walking distance of Windansea Beach.
It was wonderful to be able to sit out in the beautiful back garden - so relaxing.
The one thing that struck us from the moment we walked in was how clean it was - impeccable!
Everything was provided right down to the make-up wipes in the bathrooms. The beds were very comfortable and the linens were splendid. The living room was very spacious and comfortable.
And, the VRBO staff were great to deal with throughout the entire process!
I cannot say enough about this wonderful rental - it was a great experience!

Parking: Room for 3 cars in the driveway. We liked the parking.Home: Clean, equipped with essentials in bathrooms, kitchen and linen closets. We "over-packed". NO air conditioning. The home is located in what I call where I'm from an alley. It's a street, but it's an alley! Stay: Televisions ware a hassle to figure out. We had small children and it was a waste of time to spend an hour trying to figure out the cable; etc. There is a DVD player in the home. We brought our own luckily to keep the kids occupied while we unpacked.Walk to the beach isn't good for small children. In order to get to the beach you'll need to cross a street which is VERY busy with 2-way traffic during the day and early evening. The walk is about 3 city blocks distance from the home and you can see a good part of the beach but it's NOT in walking distance to La Jolla Shores or La Jolla Seal Beach which are places that EVERY tourist needs to see because both are AWESOME! (I live in San Diego, so I am still amazed by both when I visit). If you drive to parts of La Jolla beach you'll need to wake up early 8 or 9am to even get a good parking spot-otherwise don't bother driving. Parking rules are enforced during the day as well and parking violations are hefty.Good: The house was clean.Bad: The water was shut-off during our stay.UGLY: The water was shut-off during our stay on a Saturday night when our entire family returned from the beach (full of sand as you can imagine, the beach near the home doesn't have showers to rinse-off like the main beaches in La Jolla). We sat for 2 hours with small kids, sandy, dirty and unable to turn on the water ..........we used bottle water to wash our hands! We called to complain. Owner called the water dept. but WE WERE NOT OFFERED ANYTHING FOR OUR INCONVENIENCE. With family visiting of all ages even elderly-this was very disappointing. The unbearable: The water was shut off again on Sunday briefly while we prepared brunch. Still bad but it was turned on while the kids were out playing.

Just lovely
My family was so pleased with this home. All the furniture, finishes, appliances, decorations, were fresh and new. The home is much more spacious than we had anticipated. With 3 good sized- bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms and 2 separate living areas with TV's, it's a perfect home for a family of several members. Our favorite things were the fully stocked kitchen and newly landscaped backyard. Beds are super comfortable and very fresh and clean. We were provided with all the beach items we needed - ample beach chairs, umbrellas, beach towels, toys for the kids, even a cooler to take to the beach. The home is professionally managed, so we appreciated the well-organized booking process, access code, as well as welcome amenities. Would love to return.

Great Home Near the Beach
This home was lovely. Recently redecorated, it was beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. It easily slept five people, and there was plenty of room to spread out between the living room and sitting area in the kitchen when everyone was in the house. Everything was well stocked. We loved that the beach was just a few blocks away, and love the WindandSea neighborhood. We would definitely rent this home again and highly recommend it.

Lovely rental home close to ocean.
Very clean, quiet, spacious, comfortable home within walking distance to the ocean.
Very nice to have both a living room and a sitting room both with televisions.
3 bathrooms was a bonus.
Beach toys and beach chairs were very much appreciated for our numerous trips to the beach.
The kitchen is very nice, large and roomy and well equipped. ( A second frying pan would be nice)
We had a fabulous week renting this home, and are looking forward to returning next winter.
Grocery store, pharmacy, restaurants, and other amenities very close by.
We highly recommend this property to rent.
