The property was very clean and provided everything we needed. It was close to the beach but away from crowds. We only stayed 3 nights but I could imagine staying a week or more and being happy.

The house is small but nicely updated and has everything you need. Having an umbrella, beach chairs, etc available. The beach was a quick walk but is only accessivle by stairs and is completely covered at high tide. There is another slice of sand that stays dry a short walk away. It was also nice to be able to walk to a smoothie shop, cafe and casual restaurant.

House was very convenient to the beach/town on a quiet street. You can see the ocean from the edge of the driveway! It had plenty of space for our family of 5, and is great for young children (complete with bunk beds, toy closet, books, beach toys, etc...). The owner was very pleasant to work with!

Amazing place!!!
We had an amazing stay at this property. Neighborhood is quiet, low traffic. The property was clean, beautiful, exactly as show in pictures. Kitchen was wellstocked with everything we needed. And there were so many extra items we could use including all the beach items you would need and toys and books for the kiddos. The owners were extremely nice, accomodating and had fantastic communication. Removed so much of the stress of travel. I would recommend this property to anyone. We will be looking to stay again on our next trip!

Cozy cottage great location
This little cottage was exactly what we wanted and needed. It isn't huge but it's not at all cramped either- the layout and flow worked great for our family of 5 ( 3kids between ages 4 and 6). They had toys and books and beach equipment galore, kids bikes and a stroller, etc etc... the beach is incredibly perfect for small children and is literally a 2 min walk from the house. Also a few min walk away is a cute playground and a couple of small shops and restaurants. Within a 5-7 min drive you can be at any type of restaurant/shop/grocery/ice cream etc. It's not a walkable town but is within 15 min of Ogunquit and Kennebunkport. We also went up to Portland for an afternoon very easily.
The host was super accessible by text giving me live info and suggestions as needed. The kitchen is well stocked including children's dishes.
There is ample closet space but somewhat limited dresser space- they do provide several hangers but I recommend bringing more esp for kids! Although I did eventually discover some drawers under the bunk bed.
Washer dryer in basement were super helpful.
There's no ac and only one ceiling fan (in biggest bedroom) but there are some plug in fans around the house and tons of windows- so you can get a great breeze since the ocean is so close.
Extra bonus is that there's a lovely view of the marsh at the other end of the street and even from the windows. Being on a dead end street was also wonderful for our kids.
My kids absolutely loved it here and so did we. Highly recommend!!

Lovely home close to the beach!
My friends and family had a wonderful weekend in this cute cottage. The owners were extraordinarily accommodating and communicative. The house was spotless and nicely decorated and just a short two minute walk to the beach. The street faces east and west so youāll get good views of both the sunrise and sunset. Our weekend was a little chilly and the house was nice and cozy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return!

Lovely beach town cottage two blocks from the beach and a short drive to the Carlson nature center and other lovely attractions. We look forward to returning to this property again. The owners could not have been friendlier or more accommodating or helpful.

We had a great stay at in Wells. The property is a short walk to the beach which was great for our preschooler. We couldnāt have asked for a better selection of toys and the house was modern and had everything we needed. Hope we can visit again soon.

Fun first family trip!
It was the first time taking my almost 2-year-old daughter on vacation, and we could not have picked a better place to stay for her! The property has everything for small children - itās one floor, super clean & open, no hazards, comfy, and built in amenities including a crib, tiny chairs, toys, books, stroller, etc. We loved how clean and updated everything was for our stay. Plenty of parking right next to the doors that makes unloading and packing up a breeze. Fully operational kitchen to make meals in. Lyndsay checked in to make sure our needs were met and was very gracious from start to finish. Couldnāt recommend more!!

This is a wonderful quaint little cottage. The interior is light and Airy. The minute you walk in the door you feel like you're at the beach. The house is wonderfully supplied with anything you could need and the owner is wonderful and making sure that you have everything you need would stay there again in a heartbeat. It is close to the beach close to other attractions like shopping and wonderful restaurants.

Beautiful cozy beach house steps from the beach
We had a wonderful stay in Wells thanks to the host and their wonderful beach home. It's literally steps from the beach. Lyndsay provided clear check-in instructions and was easy to get in touch with. The home was perfect of us, our 14 month old, my parents and sister. While in the area, we visited the Rachel Carson Wildlife Refuge for a peaceful, short hike and the town of Kennebunkport which are both a short drive away.

Fun Family Vacation
We had a great stay at Wells Beach in early Aug with our family, which included multiple generations from Grandparents, parents, and an infant (10 month old). The owners were very responsive to any questions or needs we had. The home was stocked with most everything we needed for cooking, comfort, and many toys/baby items (stroller, crib, etc). Beach is extremely close walk (2mins). The closest beach section does get covered during high tide(which you canāt control) but there is other access and parking lots at other end for beach during high tide. Overall location is great for shops, cafe and playground and very short drive (5 mins) to Hannefords grocery. Would recommend rental and Wells Beach for future and hope to return. Thank you!

The perfect beach house
If the house looks beautiful, clean, and new in the pictures itās because it is! Iām a builder and I can attest to the wonderful job the homeowners have done here updating their home. The tile and hardwood throughout made tidying up after a sandy beach day a breeze, the spacious kitchen was equipped with anything we needed and made preparing meals easy with multiple people working, and we especially enjoyed the stand up tile shower with removable hand spray to help with the kids. Just a very short walk from the beach and arcade(important for little legs) and with a basement full of chairs, toys, and floats this house definitively comes as advertised. The homeowners were delightful and responsive from the get go and we canāt thank them enough for sharing their home with us. Weāve been vacationing in wells for years and have yet to come across something so modern and convenient. Highly recommend following up on this one

Everything you are looking for!!
We spent 4 nights at this adorable home, 2 adults and 2 children and it was PERFECT. After spending weeks searching through homes near the beach, we finally chose this one and are so glad we did. It was literally a 2 min walk to the beach! We packed everything we needed to have fun at the beach, and we could have left it ALL at home! The owners have lots of beach chairs, cooler, umbrellas, pop up tent, and lots and lots of beach toys available to use! The kitchen has every pot pan & utensil you can think of, beds were comfy, & it was nice and quiet at night on a dead end road. We loved that Hannaford is a minute drive down the road, as well as lots of places to eat! We went to beach, breakfast at Congdons, dinner at Mike's Clam Shack and Billy's Chowder House, Mini Golfing & Go-Karts at Wonder Mountain Fun Park, a day in Portland... so much to do! The house was cozy, and clean, loved having a washer and dryer, and can't think of a single thing we were missing. The only thing we didnt realize, was there is an ice machine in the freezer we just had to turn on. We would absolutely come back, the owners checked in via text a few times to make sure we were all set, but luckily we didn't need anything because it was all taken care of! Thank you letting us enjoy your home for our mini vaca!

Loved this place, immaculate, cozy, well equipped kitchen, great layout to accommodate four adults and two kids. Location offered a variety of activities for small kids; easy walk to beach and playground, and quick drive to even larger sand beach when the tide is in. Charming neighborhood. Lovely home, Great location!
We just got back from a great week in Wells, Maine. This home was perfect for our family of five. It was clean and tidy when we arrived, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Just a short walk to the beach made it convenient so that we could easily walk back to the house to have lunch, use the bathroom, etc. We enjoyed ice cream at the ScoopDeck, chowder and lobster at Billy's Chowder House, donuts at Congdon's, and breakfast sandwiches at The Rollover CafƩ. We drove to Ogunquit for the afternoon, and Kennebunkport another day for some shopping. The owners were very helpful and any questions/issues were addressed immediately. This was our first time in Maine, but certainly not the last!

Perfect Beach House
My husband and I brought our daughter son in law and 2 grandchildren to stay for one glorious week!
The house is small but it was perfect for us. We never felt cramped and the house was clean and ready when we arrived. It was also very easy to keep clean while we stayed.
The bathroom we thought would be an issue but we managed. We used a bucket in the shower for our youngest grandson and he loved it.
The beach is in walking distance and that was very important to us as we brought a wagon with all the beach chairs and toys that was provided by the owners.
Our week went by far to fast and we created a ton of wonderful family memories that we will cherish. I would say it was the best summer vacation we have had in awhile.
My husband and I generally visit Wells for long weekends and this was the first time we stayed for an entire week.
We would highly recommend this beach house because the kitchen had everything we needed because we ate most meals at the house.
What was great was the Wells lobster pound is just down the street!
The weather was as perfect and the beach was a total blast.

Wonderful November Getaway!
This is a beautiful home, all freshly updated, immaculate, bright & cheery. Very comfortable seating, loved the dining table & chairs with all your beautiful windows. Saw some beautiful sunsets right from the dinner table out over the back river. We had a family party in the area and decided to make a weekend out of it & so glad we did. Even though it was a cold weekend this home is very toasty & cozy off season.

The house was just as described - neat, clean, bright, airy, and comfortable. The walk to the beach is only a couple minutes, and there are lovely sea breezes at the house. We appreciated the nice sized and well-stocked kitchen, as well as the beach chairs downstairs. We hope to visit again!

We absolutely loved our stay at Lyndsay and Paul's cottage. It was just perfect for our family. We were so pleased to see that the place is adorable and spotless. We were so comfortable there- it felt just like home. The kids loved the bunk beds and appreciated the toys, books and bikes in the basement. (They road them around the basement on a rainy day.) The driveway was a perfect amount of space for riding scooters. The walk down to the beach was so easy. We really appreciated that the road the cottage is on and the way down to the beach is a not-very-busy street. We really appreciated the functional kitchen, pots/pans, coffeemaker, dishwasher and the full-sized washer and dryer downstairs. Lyndsay and Paul were a pleasure to work with. You can tell they really care about their cottage and the families who rent it. With most cottages, it is "It was really nice, except for...", but not this place. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect stay. Thank you.
