This Little Compton home was the perfect home for our family vacation. The five cozy bedrooms, well-stocked kitchen, and welcoming indoor/outdoor spaces allowed our extended family of adults to spread out, relax, play games, share meals, read and spend good time together. Throughout our 10-day stay we biked the beautiful Little Compton roads, played tennis at nearby courts, ran, enjoyed wine/treats at the Sakonnet Winery, body surfed at local beaches, surfed at South Shore Beach, enjoyed a clambake dinner by Little Compton Clambakes, and hiked many nature/beach trails. The beauty of the location inspired us daily.

The views of expansive lawn and fields make this home a real treat, especially at sunset. We particularly enjoyed the sunroom and roof deck. It’s a short walk to the quaint town with a general store, tennis courts and nature trail.
This is an older home with some antiquated amenities, though the kitchen and one bath are updated. Air conditioning is only in 2 rooms, not whole house, but we didn’t need it with the sea breezes. It was comfortable for our group of 6.
The owner is pleasant and responsive. They live in the larger home on the property. Overall it was an enjoyable place to stay in Little Compton.

My friends and I have been staying in Jenny's lovely cottage for 8 years or more. It is perfect for us, the size, the layout, the amenities, and the area. This trip, we were talking about how much we love staying here, how it feels like home and how we still have so many things to discover in the area. Jenny is a wonderful host, personable and quick to respond. We got to chat with her in person this year which was a treat. She and her husband are delightful and they put a lot of effort in to the upkeep and renovations of the cottage, always with their guests comfort in mind. For a restorative, relaxing retreat, you cannot go wrong with this sweet cottage.

It was the perfect size, in a beautiful corner of Rhode Island. The house was a perfect size for the five of us, intimate, and delightfully antique in style. We congregated in the kitchen which was bright and well appointed. Plenty of parking, Jenny was a great communicator. All in all a very satisfying rental experience!

My family came in from all over the United States to stay here during a local wedding. The grounds were absolutely gorgeous and steeped in history, the house fit us all very well, was comfortable, well equipped, and the beds made it easy to house kids/teens, and couples. The kitchen was great, the owner was very responsive and helpful. We absolutely love the side porch in the sitting area in the yard. Would stay there again.

I live in the area and rented this property for my sister in law, her son and daughter in law, and their 6 month old baby. Lovely grounds and charming house with a walk to village location. No a/c, but lots of bedrooms and baths with a classic New England feel. Everyone loved it

Our stay here was great!
It was peaceful, quiet and relaxing.
Within a walking distance the property provided access to local pizza shop, art cafe, breakfast diner, and a small market.
Within a 5-15 minute drive we were able to enjoy trails and community beaches.
The properties kitchen was a good meeting spot for our family to meet and cook. The family room provided ample space for the kids to play, and the sun room provided an opportunity to watch amazing sun sets.
The rustic feel to the property ensured that we slowed down and enjoy the tranquility of little Compton. Jennifer was a great host and provided immediate responses to any communications.

Beautiful grounds and views. Well-stocked kitchen. Bathtub not safe for seniors. Grab bar and non-slip mat in tub would help.

Five of us wanted a quiet weekend in a bucolic location to write, read, and enjoy each other's company. We found the perfect place. The house is on a stunning property, with rolling pastures and gorgeous stone walls. The house itself was homey, comfortable, and well appointed, the kitchen chock full of everything we needed, the water pressure was great, and the hosts were welcoming and helpful. Oh, and the linens are fresh and crisp. It's a lovely location for short walks in the pastures or long walks along the beautiful roads. We would love to come back someday.

We rented the place as a friends reunion, and all had a wonderful time! There was plenty of space to enjoy inside together for 8 people, with an updated kitchen, and bedrooms filled with character. One prior review mentioned the water, during our time I didn't notice any problems with the water, and the host provided a 2.5 gallon bottled water jug, which was more than enough for the weekend.

My family and I stayed here for 2 nights, and absolutely loved it. We have relatives in the area and it was the perfect place to host a small get-together, both inside and out in the yard. The home has beautiful old charm along with a wonderful updated kitchen. We found everything we needed, and in new, well-kept condition.

This house is a wonderful location with amazing grounds for the little ones to run around. Updated kitchen stock piled with everything you need to cook with. I have to say this property may not be best suited for elderly or people with mobility issues, the stairs leading to the bedrooms were a challenge for my 85old dad, but it was a complete treat for the grandkids who said they loved the back stair way to one of the bedrooms.. they called it their hidden passage. Overall we loved our stay.

Our family of 8 spent 2 nights in this beautiful house. The large upgraded kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and more. We cooked breakfast and dinner for all of us with ease. Large Butler pantry was a plus as well. It provided extra storage room for all of our dry food and drinks. Large dining room/living room was perfect for our large family to really enjoy our meals, play games and spend time together comfortably In one large area. Enclosed porch with comfortable seating was a bonus, All the bedrooms were located on second floor. Each bedroom had a closet and they were a nice size. The entire house was super clean. The owner was very friendly and available at all times. We visited the south shore beach located 6 min drive from the house. Absolutely stunning. Overall, our stay was more than perfect. We will definitely return next year. Little Compton is a magical place. Wish we had more time to explore it even more.

The house we stayed in was one among a cluster of delightful, stately white clapboard houses of a family compound just beyond the Commons in Little Compton, RI. Rolling green fields outlined by stone walls and banks of huge hydrangea bushes. The house has a paned glass sunroom from which you can look out and get lost in the view. We had some torrential rain during our stay, but even that could not temper our enjoyment of LC and the house. Our host Jennifer reached out to make us feel at home an alerted us to special local events. I will happily rent this house again and recommend it to anyone who loves a a charming rustic getaway that's close to the ocean.

The property was adequate to our needs, however, some additional information
Would have been helpful. We did not know until we were on the property that the water was not drinkable due to a well issue. It also limited the amount of usable water. (For bathing, dishes washer etc) Another minor issue, we were unable to lock the house.
The house is large with all the bedrooms upstairs. 2 and a half baths seemed adequate for us. The area is beautiful . A small store is about quarter mile away which was very helpful. Parking was adequate. The kitchen is modern and well equipped. We had trouble finding knives that were sharp enough to slice bread and towels but they were there.
I would recommend this property but ask questions about it so that you understand what the property is and is not.

We loved staying in Little Compton! The property was very charming and walking distance to Art Cafe and the General Store which made it really easy for people to get anything they needed / wanted. Jenny was a great communicator and went above and beyond to make our stay possible. We would love to return!
