About this house rental
The house is located on a quiet private road. On many days you are able to hear the sounds of the ocean when the waves are crashing! The beach is only 1 mile away! This is house is 2 years old on a an acre of land. The house offers a open floor plan on the first floor which is perfect for entertaining and being with your family and friends. The kitchen has stainless appliances and granite counter tops with center island and counter seating. Windows are large to let in an abundance of natural light. A wrap around deck from the side door opening up to a full sun deck in the back will be perfect for barbecues. A covered front porch is perfect for coffee and enjoying the morning sun.
The upstairs has 3 bedrooms and a full bath. The house sleeps 6 with one queen bed and two double double beds on the second floor.
There are brand new high end mattresses that are very comfortable in the queen and full sized beds. Outdoor shower, gas grill and fire pit on premises. Take the tandem Kayak for a paddle in the nearby ponds or challenge your family to a friendly game of ping pong! Beach chairs can come with you to those relaxing beach days, and there are two adult beachcomber bikes and two 20" kids bikes available on property for use. Your summer vacation awaits you!

• Close attention is being paid to high touch surfaces such as doorknobs, light switches, stair railings, remote controls, faucets etc.
• Any bed linen used we ask to leave them on the bed unmade so we know they have been used. This includes any spare blankets we have in closets.
• Please open windows when leaving as appropriate according to weather to increase air circulation

Little Compton is truly a place apart. This tiny rural town possesses all of the natural beauty and desirable attractions of major coastal vacation destinations such as cape cod and block island without the crowds and fanfare. It has an authentic country quality that is rarely found in more popular seaside resorts. This was our third consecutive summer holiday in LC and the accommodations were by far the best we have experienced. Mike is a fantastic host and the house is very clean, modern, and well equipped with the essentials and more such as extra beach chairs, towels, bikes, a kayak and a substantial beach umbrella. The house setting is also very peaceful, on a dirt lane with a large private back yard and deck. We had a marvelous week blessed with gorgeous weather and will likely return next summer. One suggestion to others who rent this place is to bring a pop up umbrella for the deck to better enjoy the space when the sun is out. Otherwise the house is a perfect place for a summer vacation by the sea. Thank you Mike!

Well kept 3 bedroom home close to the water. Kitchen has all necessary amenities and the cookware, flatware etc all were clean and presentable. House is very clean. linens were very clean. Only appliance that we did not see is a toaster oven but everything else is there. Washer and dryer work well. there are all the needed nuisance items like paper towels, dish soap, laundry detergent, etc. Bring your own aluminum foil/plastic wrap/bags for leftovers. 2 burner Gas grill works fine.
easy 10-15 min walk to goosewing beach. Very quiet neighborhood and there is plenty of seclusion. Outdoor firepit was great and plenty of firewood was waiting for us.
There are bikes to ride. We did not use them but they appear to be good quality
This house works very well for a couple or a family. With 1 1/2 bathrooms, it would be a bit tough to have a couples week here as there is only one indoor shower.
We stayed a week and will likely rent again next year.

The 4 of us enjoyed being together in this space and it served our needs very well: Not too small, not too big. The kitchen was suitable to our needs and allowed us room to maneuver as all 4 of us like to be involved in the prep work of cooperative meals . In the evening we had the resident doe come visit us as well as the resident bunny and woodchuck. It was quiet and serene. Would recommend that you get a tutorial on how to operate the TV. We never did figure out how to use it but then again we didn't really care. Three out of the four of us did not mind the lack of air conditioning and found the overhead fan plus the coolness of the nighttime to be quite sufficient for us. I would highly recommend this place. Oh, and the owner was very responsive to our questions and was quite a cordial and engaging fellow. I'd stay here again.

What a perfect place and location. Absolutely spotless house, high quality construction and amenities. Very well appointed kitchen with everything you'll need. Perfect for either three couples, or a small family. Five minutes and two turns from a great beach. Open concept, lots of natural light, very private and secluded, yet only minutes from shopping and local fare. Outdoor firepit. Wildlife, deer, rabbits, and birds. Owner responds to texts within minutes. Loved it and will definitely rent it again. Thank you once again Mike for a great place!

If you stay here, be adventurous. There are some realy great things nearby , a very walkable and scenic beach and litte shops and markets hidden all around. TAKE THESE IN.

Relaxing vacation
We really enjoyed our stay. Perfect location. So close to the beach and easy to get to vineyards and trails. House was clean and new with large yard and fire pit. Wasn't a problem for us as we are a family of 3 but third bedroom does not have A/C . It does have a ceiling fan though.

We loved Mike's house and the location. The house is newer construction, nice cozy setting, comfortable bedrooms, great outdoor space. The location was perfect for walks, rides to the beach and to the town center. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will be back! Thanks Mike!

Great house and Great location!!
We really enjoyed our stay. The house made us feel nice and secluded. We had an issue with the grill but the owner came and fixed it within a couple of hours. It was nice and close to the beach (about a 15 minute walk). We will definitely be back!

Clean, updated house near the beach
We had a great stay! The house was a quick 3 minute drive to South Shore Beach, which we went to every day. The house was also very clean, well updated, and filled with light. We were there during a heat wave, so we were very grateful for the AC units in the bedrooms. Would highly recommend this place for a quiet beach week!

Amazing piece of Little Compton!
Our week was wonderful! There was nothing needed in this home. EVERYTHING was point on. Location, privacy, perfect home for a couple or family vacation. Mike couldn’t be more responsive to any needs you may have. Bought a week beach pass & had access day/night! Definitely will be returning. 5+ stars

Clean, Calm & Quaint
Our family recently enjoyed a lovely week-long stay at this sweet home. It was perfect for our family of 4. We never even used the AC units in the bedrooms; the ceiling fans were quiet and created just enough breeze for good sleeping conditions in hot weather. There's a huge yard with plenty of space for kids to run around, and it's on a safe dirt road. No bugs! Not even one mosquito. :) We will be back! Thank you, Mike & Stacey!

We had a great stay and Mike’s. It was more private than we anticipated, which is a plus. The house was clean, accurate, accommodating and easy to access. Not much could have been better. We will definitely keep it in mind for future visits to the area.

Great stay in Little Compton
A very clean and comfortable house to stay in. Everything was well thought of, outside shower, three bedrooms and even a ping pong table in the basement. A couple of details which could be easily taken care of by adding a couple of kitchen tools and little things in the bedrooms, such as chairs and mirrors.
We will gladly go back there to stay.

Perfect, Sweet Home in Hidden Gem Town
This was our family's first time staying in Little Compton and we struck gold with this house in this sweet little town! The house was so welcoming, clean, peaceful and is literally a two minute drive (if that) to the beach. I kept saying "it has everything we need and nothing that we don't." It was simple but in the best possible way. Plenty of space for you to make it feel like your own without any "tchotchkes" to get in the way or to move around to put your own stuff down. We brought our 1.5-year-old and 4-year-old and the yard was nice and spacious for them to run around and play. It is nestled on a quiet street and there is plenty of privacy. The outdoor shower was simply perfect to end a day at the beach! The washer and dryer are newer so our clothes/towels were quickly cleaned at the end of each day. The deck, oh the deck! It was so nice for outdoor dining and reading a book at the end of the day. My only suggestion would be to add a clothes line of sorts to hang dry towels/bathing suits but for the most part we just threw them in the wash at the end of the day anyway. The owners were super responsive and easy to work with. We are so lucky they shared this little slice of heaven with us!
Little Compton itself is truly a hidden gem! The beaches, the roadside farmstands, the vineyard, the sweet little downtown. So much to do for the whole family! We loved visiting the Art Cafe for Wednesday Art Projects for the kiddos while sipped our iced coffees. The park was fun to visit after that as well! Don't forget the beach pizza and getting a fire permit to have a beach bonfire. We can't WAIT to go back!

Best vacation house in 45 years of coming to LC
House was in pristine condition, comfortable and clean. Neighborhood was quiet, close to beach. At our age, 'walk to beach location' not possible, but workable for young families. A small problem we had understanding the TV was addressed 'in person' by owner, promptly. We have had issues in the past with rental conditions, never once this quick and friendly response. You will not be sorry to stay in this house.

Great little oasis
This is one of the better stays I have had via VRBO. Mike was quick to reply and kept it simple which is what this stay was all about. The house was very neat and orderly, we couldn't have asked for a better set up. Thanks Mike, I'm sure we'll be back!

Memorial Day Weekend at Little Compton
This review will be a bit different in that we did not actually stay at this pretty Home.
I had rented this Home for my Children and Grandchildren for the Memorial Day weekend.
Unfortunately, they were unable to join us in Little Compton for the long weekend.
However, I was able to go inside this lovely property and view all.
From the beginning, the pictures do not do justice to the wonderful, attractive lot this property sits on! The Home seems to be "perched" on this little hill making you that much closer to the refreshing breezes! Plenty of room for all those outdoor activities while keeping a safe distance from the very quiet dirt road.
Then, inside, you will find everything spotless and so attractive and comfortable - It is as if you are walking through a magazine on home decor!
Again, I did not actually stay at this Home but the time I spent walking through this Home made me definitely want to return!

Great family getaway
This home is brand new, clean and charming. Each room is well decorated and 2 of the 3 bedrooms have televisions. The beds are comfortable and the home is well cared for. I would definitely take my family of 5 back for another getaway.

Great place!
We rented for a fall weekend wedding. The house was great. Everything was neat and clean. Beds were very comfortable. The deck was a perfect place to sit and relax. The beach is only @ a mile away and an easy walk . Mike was very responsive and accommodating to any requests. Definitely a place we would stay again!

Beautiful vacation getaway
We had a wonderful week of vacation at this house. Our son especially liked the huge yard and the ping pong table in the basement, while my husband and I enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and surrounding areas. As other guests have mentioned, the house could use another AC unit, as it was a hot week, but it did not impede our stay. Thank you Mike and Stacey!

Very nice home, close to the beach, a large deck and yard. Loved the outdoor shower which helped us keep the house clean. We had pretty warm weather and the later afternoon and early evening sun can heat up the downstairs. One more portable ac would of been convenient. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Fabulous, well-equipped, easy-going summer launch pad
This lovely, new house worked very well for our family's coming and goings during one of the hottest weeks of the summer. The house is spotless and well-equipped, with well-maintained grounds. Mike is very responsive, easy to reach, and very helpful. The only drawback was the lack of central air (only 2 of the three bedrooms have a/c units) and the almost complete lack of cell service, despite our family's multiple carriers. We had to drive to make calls, which was ok -- but worried me in case of an emergency. But those concerns were all workable and the week was a huge success. We all look forward to returning.
