Amazing view and location

Great place to stay. Thank you.

Lakehouse was incredible. The only thing I would say is to change the 10am checkout to 11am/12pm so we could have a bit more time in the morning.
Thank you again! What a wonderful place.

The location on the lake, the deck with lake views and beauty of the area rate a 5/5. There is a beach close by and chairs on the end of the pier.
We enjoyed sitting in the hot tub and watching the sunrise. The hot tub is not as big as it appears in the picture but seated 4 adults. The padlock is still broken as noted in earlier reviews.
The oven in the kitchen needs repair and did not hold temperature. We have stayed in other VRBO rentals in tourist areas that had more amenities (e.g. towels for hot tub, some firewood, more kitchen supplies), The lock box is not easy to use, the outside umbrella was broken and taped so that it could not be tilted toward the sun. The drawers in chest in downstairs bedroom were missing rails to hold drawers in place. Hinge on corner kitchen cupboard is broken. Interior of home could benefit from standard maintenance (spackle, paint).
The instructions folder notified us that if the garbage bins became over-full, we would be charged for the disposal overage. We had room to place our trash but given that there are 5 or so other properties in the complex this was concerning.
The property management company responded to phone calls and was helpful. They were prompt with e-mails regarding arrival.
Overall our family had a lovely weekend, but the appearance of these minor deficiencies and defects can distract from the beauty of the location. Thus our overall rating is 4/5 stars.

My group was so amazed. A deck overlooking the lake. A private pier to enjoy. Enough rooms for a large party to stay comfortably, and everything you need, like Safeway, a couple minutes away. And, the Nevada border just a few minutes further so if you like...all the gambling you want to do.
4.6
A weekend of great food and drinks in a serene environment. The view from the bay window, the patio, and the hot tub did not disappoint.
4.6
The location was great. We all enjoyed it.
4.6
It may be a little dated but the location is excellent. Great views, private pier, and even a private walkway to the public beach. Double deep parking spot. Nearby marina. If you're going to bring or rent a boat, this is a great spot.

Nice place.

Except for the construction, which is no fault of the property owners everything from start to finish was excellent
4.6
Other worldly views. Comfy house. Will return.

Overall you can't beat the view or location of this property. I will say this property could use a little updating given the price point, dated furnishings and bedding. Kitchen not stocked with things like tin foil and saran wrap. Hair dryer in one of th bathrooms did not work just little things that could be improved to make this an even better experience. We had a great time and loved the pier and beach access even in the winter. Will definitely return.
4.6
Beautiful location. I love the dock. The window in the house is big and beautiful, great views. AC worked well. Washing machine works well, dryer is slow (lots of clothes laundered on our trip). Property managers are responsive. Impossible to open lock on hot tub - needs to be replaced. Bed frame on lower bed is loose and noisy if you shift in the bed.
Overall, very nice.

A good rental for a group. Beautiful view of Lake Tahoe right off the living room. Nice beds, plenty of towels. We found a number of things broken or in need of replacement (nothing major) and the place seemed a bit lacking in TLC.

I understand that businesses need to make money and have common sense policies in place to protect their business, however there should always be room for exceptions or at the very least, compassion. I booked a 3 night stay at a 4 bedroom Tahoe home to celebrate my birthday with my husband and our three closest couple friends. Two couples came down with COVID and the company allowed us to reschedule the reservation once (according to the contract I signed and paid extra money for the privilege of flexibility in the case of an unexpected obstacle). We selected another date a few weeks after the original and then my husband had an accident and had to have emergency spinal surgery. I called the company again and explained what was going on and was told flatly that the policy clearly is that I can only reschedule our stay once and they would not let me reschedule again. The person offered no apology and I said goodbye through tears on the phone. Only one couple was able to enjoy the rental as the other three remained behind with me to support my husband as he went in for surgery. I will never rent with this heartless company again.

Great Location
My family and I had a fantastic stay at the Lakeside Escape. Things that were great: location, the house itself had great spots for relaxation inside and out, comfortable beds, amenities of a full kitchen, and washer/dryer. It was truly a lovely place to stay. One parking space is a bummer but it worked out with the street parking. The grocery store is very close which also was very convenient. Things that weren't so great: all of the door knobs and windows. The janky door knobs and windows were a great annoyance and kind of a safety issue. You had to manipulate the inside door knobs quite a bit to get them to lock. The locks on several of the windows were in some way broken or extremely difficult to maneuver. Locking the front door when you leave is difficult. The bottom locks just fine but we could never get the top dead bolt to lock from the outside because the top half of the door would never get flush to the door jam. I bring up the safety issue because you're instructed to secure all the windows and doors for bear safety but in this house it is somewhat difficult to do. This wouldn't be such a big deal had there not been bears living underneath/in the house that burnt down right next to this one a few months ago. I would think that with the amount of money being made on this rental that some basic maintenance could be done for the windows, door knobs, and front door. Other than that, honestly, this place is a fantastic place to stay. It's a great location to use as home base. It's super peaceful with very kind neighbors.

Overpriced for this home!
The home had a nice view but is tightly enclosed with with 4 or 5 other homes in a community entry and courtyard. It is almost as if you are staying with several other families. You can hear the conversations of others all day and night. The shallow beachy area and sand is nice for small children. In no way is this home worth the nearly $1000 a night you end of paying for it. We were all sure of that!! Definitely no privacy at all and is not good for couples. There are much better options out there.

This property is truly Lakeside, beautiful, and comfy. This is the second time we have been with one other family (4 adults, 4 kids, ages 8-12). It was magical. We were worried about Covid-19 and the added precautions were great. We did stay at the house the whole time because many people in the area were not practicing adequate social distancing, so be warned!

A wonderful time on the lake
What a wonderful time right on the lake ! Every morning my husband jumped straight in for a swim, we had breakfast on the price right on top of the water, we fell asleep listening to the water and simply enjoyed the amazing views. Nice enclave w 5 houses. Note some renters might monopolize the pier , forgetting it's shared

The Location Is Amazing
This Lakefront property truly is Lakefront. The hot tub is wonderfully situated on the deck overlooking Lake Tahoe and the mountain ranges. The views every morning were outstanding. Our first morning there we experienced the most beautiful sunrise I've ever seen.
In addition to the views, the neighbors with cabins there were kind and sociable, but not too sociable as to be off-putting. The location is literally 2 minutes from a large grocery store and only 15 minutes or less from Taho City and Incline Village. We easily traveled to North Star Ski Resort to ski as well. The italian restaurant in Tahoe Vista is AMAZING.
The kitchen is well-appointed and easy to cook in.
Management company was GREAT to work with!
Where my disappointment came in was that the living space was not at all comfortable to sit in. The couches, while clean, were not comfortable for 5 grown people to sit on all at once. The living room is also not very large at all. Along with that, while the hot tub was wonderful, it really is a 3 person hot tub at most, and for a house that sleeps 8 people, that just didn't seem an appropriate size hot tub. Our family of 5 had to take turns.
That said, I would stay there again if we came back if the seating situation in the living room could be updated.

Lakeside escape
Incredible view with a 16 foot window to enjoy in any season . Deck 5star with hot tub ! Fireplace lovely. the unit was very Nice and Clean. Missing pieces to puzzle but thanks for having games available. The only reason I did not give 5stars for the experience was due to worrying on my vacation if the tub enclosure door and shower controls would break down on me, as well as the bottom of the ovens kickplate that comes loose upon a shuffle due to the cabinet door not staying close. I also saw deck chairs and a table available in photos which upon arrival were not available. We paid the same rate as available in August so no discount should have full amenities available to us. However Great time without family and by far the BEST location in Kings Beach .

Loved the place
Was great experience.
Minor shape up could be done in the kitchen, mainly utensils and stuff, but overall, great place and great experience

Seriously Impressed!
Let me just say that this company and the house were perfection. Easy to book, easy to pay, emails answered fast and even though we arrived slightly early we got a key box code in about 2 minutes. We will use this company again. The house was clean and so peaceful sitting on the deck over the water. Thank you, thank you!!!!!
4.6
Very pretty
Just what we were looking for. On the beach without going broke! View spectacular
Small list of things that needed to be addressed by the owner/Tahoe Getaways, but not enough to stop me from going back to this property. Only downside is you only get one parking space. So it's a 4 bedroom house but no where to put an extra car.

This home is literally on the water. If you sleep with the windows open you can hear the water lapping on the foundation. Very relaxing. Loved the Buoy and having the shared dock to pick up people. Being right on the highway, I thought that we would hear the road noise but we didn't. We loved sitting or playing cards on the deck and watching the lake. The shared dock neighbors were very nice and helpful. The only downside was a lack of an inside dining table with chairs so we ate meals on the deck which was fine. The beds were comfortable, showers were hot and the kitchen had most anything you would need. Kids jumped off the dock and swam over to the beach. Many memories were made and everyone in our group would love to come back next summer.

Fabulous time in Tahoe right on the lake. Gorgeous views all day long. Easy walk to the beach and kayak rental place. Safeway a half mile away. Common areas a little cramped for a family of 8, but a really nice deck to relax on.
