Great location for mid-Coast adventures -- hiking, exploring Camden, Rockland, Belfast, Boothbay, enjoying all kinds of water activities, and wonderful local food, drink, and hospitality. Classic Maine cottage provides a very private space with nice deck for relaxing. Hosts are very responsive. Great bakery down the street and wonderful seafood at the Happy Clam.

Relaxing seaside retreat
This little cottage was perfect for two couples and the view from the porch was breathtaking. This isn’t the area to go to if you are wanting nightlife and activities it’s more of a laid back restful atmosphere. Stores and restaurants close early so that’s something you have to keep in mind. The Scenery was beautiful, and peaceful. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!

One week getaway in Tenants Harbor
Very cute cottage with an awesome little deck and water view
The road is a little busy at rush hour but quiets down nice and very quiet at night. We plan to stay again.

Amazing stay!
Deb and Phil were great! They told us the places to go and what to see. We went down to The Happy Clam for drinks and the bartender told us where to find the freshest lobster! Drift Inn Beach was wonderful and dog friendly. We drove over to Marshall Point and went into Port Clyde, very cute area and amazing place to watch the sunset. We had a great time and will definitely be back!

Relaxation
My husband, 9 year old and I stayed at Long Cove Cottages for about 2 weeks and it was the highlight of the summer. The proprietors are there when you need them. The cottages were clean, cute and had everything we needed to cook like we were at home. Of course there are excellent local restaurants. Probably our favorite was the Happy Clam just down the road. All of the photos and description of the cottages and area are accurate. There is no end to options of things to do and that are entertaining for all ages. Prepare for a chill if you plan on taking a dip in the ocean, but there are warmer lakes nearby. We spent most of our time relaxing in the cabin - sitting on the deck watching the weather come in and the lobster boats come and go out of the cove. The only negative was having to leave at the end of our stay.

All the comforts of home!
We had a wonderful time. This was our first visit to Maine and we will definitely be back. The cottage is in a great location. Port Clyde is a quaint little town with the best waterfront lobster we have ever had at the "Dip Net". Debra and Phil are very friendly and had everything that you might possibly need in the cottage, right down to a fresh vase of wildflowers on the table.

Needs updating
We chose Long Cove cottages because of the location and reviews. We did enjoy the area, good restaurants, beautiful coast and lighthouses, and away from the bustle of Hwy.1, but the cottage needs some updating. The living room furniture is very worn, and the mattress is sagging. The owners were absent when we checked in and never came over to check on us even though they live on site. We'll visit the area again, but will look for other accommodations.

Great Memories By the Sea
I have been Coming to Long Cove Cottages since 1985. I visit every summer, sometimes alone or with my Husband. I love the view from the cottage deck, and the sea air makes you hungry for lobster! Debra and Phil Johnson, are great hosts, and they make me feel like an old friend. I have been inspired by the beauty of the woods and ocean, writing poetry, and taking beautiful memorable pictures. This is a great place for relaxing and renewal....

Wonderful location!
This was a last minute choice in place of a beach house in Hattaras that was cut off from the mainland by hurricane Irene. Debbie responded to my email request the next day and luckily had a cottage available for us. We arrived late in the day and even though Debbie and Phil were away, they left us a map to our cottage and lots of information on things to do in the area. This is the perfect get-away for couples because it is remote and very peaceful, but there is plenty to see within a short drive. The cottage was spotless and had everything we needed except the food. Be sure to visit the Barn Cafe in Port Clyde across from the General Store for some friendly conversation, comfy sofas and chairs to relax in while sipping your cocktail, and great local art. Two thumbs up on Long Cove Cottages!
