About this house rental
She's a Brick Lake House is a spacious, stately home in a secluded cove on the private side of Lake Anna. The house is just steps from the water in a quiet cove with 150 feet of waterfront and a sandy bottom with a gentle slope.
The house has 5 bedrooms and 4 1/2 Bathrooms.
**Update*** Please ignore the "Explore the Area" portion. It is AI generated and VRBO is not allowing me to remove or change it. We are waterfront, not a 7 minute walk from the water. Kings Dominion is the only attraction that I would recommend.***
Have a peaceful morning coffee on the deck facing the water, watching the wildlife, from herons, eagles, and osprey to bass splashing in the water. Watch spectacular sunsets over the water while sitting at the fire pit toasting marshmallows with your favorite beverage. You can fish from the dock. Try out the kayaks and paddle boards where the sandy shore makes it easy to launch and return.
Enjoy the serenity as you leave the rest of the world behind.
We love to see generations come together to make family memories here. The house makes a great getaway for friends or a business retreat.
We're a Mom and Pop operation. This is our home. With linens and cleaning services, we keep up with the house ourselves. No "glossed over" servicing by big management companies. No AI responses to your questions. We're usually available to respond or take care of concerns ourselves. We are often at our place nearby.
The house has 5 bedrooms. There's a master bedroom on the main floor and 4 more bedrooms below where you can walk out the back door, facing the water. Sleeping arrangements work best for 4 to 5 couples and there are 3 bunk beds to accommodate 6 kids. The 2 large master suites have water views. There are 4 baths and a powder room. There are 3 large, tiled showers, a big jetted tub, and a standard tub.
We have dining seating and place settings for up to 16. The kitchen has 2 connected rectangular tables, seating 8 and the round dining room table seats 8. While there are no doors, they are separated by the family room. Because the long rectangular kitchen table is actually 2 tables, it allows flexibility to create smaller group settings or to move closer to the dining area for a combined dining experience. There is a table with 3 additional chairs, the same as the kitchen set downstairs that act as a work area.
Our linen service provides freshly laundered sheets that are folded, wrapped, and waiting for you on each bed. Plush, clean towels are folded in bathroom under-sink cabinets.
Our cleaning service makes sure that the house is clean and sanitized between bookings. We conduct walk-throughs, ourselves, to ensure that the house is clean, stocked and in-order.
The large, well-appointed, and well-stocked kitchen has Corian counters, extra tall solid hickory cabinets, an island with a cooktop, double ovens, and plenty of prep room. You will have plenty of cookware, serving pieces, plates, utensils, and glasses for meals. We have both Keurig and Mr. Coffee and just about all other appliances that make for an equipped kitchen. There's a second fridge in the laundry room and a third in the bar downstairs.
Both the breakfast table and the dining room table seat 8 and face the lake. Downstairs, the bar doubles as a second kitchen. It has a fridge, sink, cooktop, microwave, toaster oven, and a coffee machine. On the deck, there is a table seating 6, and 2 chaise lounges. On the side deck outside of the kitchen are both a propane and charcoal grill. Under the deck is another patio table for 6, a picnic table, a bench, and a selection of lightweight chairs to use in the yard.
New this year, an outdoor showerhead to rinse off before you go back in.
The fire pit by the water is surrounded by Adirondack chairs in a soft frame of rubber mulch.
We have 4 kayaks and 4 paddleboards . They stay on the lawn on a rack. An aluminum rowboat rests near the water. A selection of life vests is in a large bin under the deck.
We welcome everyone seeking a lake getaway. The house design is perfect for a 3 generation family vacation. We have 5 bedrooms with 2 Kings, 2 queens, 3 bunk beds, and 2 convertible full beds. It comfortably accommodates up to 11 adults or 8 adults and up to 6 small children. We have a Pack and Play infant bed, a highchair, and a booster seat.
With almost 5,000 square feet of living space, the house is designed for entertaining. It has the feel of a bygone era when things were built to last. It has a solid and custom architectural design that includes high ceilings and arches. There is a formal billiard room, a butler’s pantry, a wet bar and lounge and an air hockey table. Cabinets (in the bar) are filled with board games and puzzles. The shelves below 2 TVs are filled with DVDs. The one-of-a-kind table lamps and other are thanks to the creativity of our dear brother(-in-law).
Direct TV is included.
We have free Wi-Fi. It’s "point to point" not as fast as back home, but it’s the best they have in the area.

Three families from PA, MD and GA came together at this home for a reunion and to ring in the New Year.
The location is beautiful with clear views of the lake from the house. We really enjoyed sitting around the fire pit by the water in the evening (firewood was supplied!). There was plenty of room for parking and easy access to enter the home at check-in.
The home very spacious and most notably had a very large well-stocked kitchen. This was the best stocked kitchen in a Vrbo we have ever stayed in! There is a double oven, plenty of dishes, cookware, bakeware, and even a full size mixer. The home also has three full size refrigerators/freezers which was key!
The master bedrooms are very spacious and, although the bathrooms are a bit outdated, they were clean and the beds were comfortable. The bunk rooms worked well for the teenagers in our group, with the only downsides being the boys in the media room had to use the upstairs powder room and any footsteps/activities upstairs were easily heard.
Other notables are the pool room, air hockey table, downstairs bar with refrigerator, all bedrooms having their own attached bathrooms, mud room with deep 2nd sink and refrigerator, and large round table in the dining room perfect for games and puzzles.
The owners communicated quickly to answer any questions and provided detailed instructions. We really enjoyed our stay and recommend this house!

From the moment we stepped in this spacious, well stocked, beautiful home, to the morning we sadly said good bye, we loved and lived up every moments at She’s a Brick House! Owners Kim & Gregg were amazing hosts, super communicative, and went above and beyond for my family and I!
Highly recommend this home and all the lake and surrounding area has to offer:
• 10 mins or less from Dollar General, Country Store and Food Lion
• Gorgeous Lake and Sunset views from the house and backyard
• Beautiful lake front beach for kids and adults alike to lounge and enjoy swimming
• Fun fishing opportunities
• Kayaks and Paddle boards were fun for all
• King’s Dominion amusement park was a great option the break up the week and less than 45 mins away!
Bring your family, turn off your devices, and enjoy the peace, fun, and relaxation that She’s a Brick House and Lake Anna offer!
Thank you Kim & Gregg!!

She’s a Brick Lake House was perfect. Our family of 10 spent relaxing days floating in the lake, paddle boarding, or kayaking. Evenings were filled with games, fishing, and s’mores. This vacation was everything I’d hoped it would be and we will cherish the memories.

For what you are paying for I believe it is one of the best properties on Lake Anna that will not drain the bank too hard. The backyard is nice and open with a fireplace. With a lot of room for yard games. You will have plenty of room for parking if you are bringing a lot of cars. It is also not too far away from your nearest store.

We loved this Lake Anna lake house especially in September. The water was so warm we could swim for hours. We had 2 jet skis tied to the dock and ran them every day for hours. We even towed our neighbor's boat back to their dock when their engine quit in the middle of the lake. We loved being on the private side with less boat traffic and warmer water. The fishing was good and the sandy beach area was nice. We had two campfires with the great campfire ring and chairs. The house was very spacious and clean. The huge kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The extra frig was nice to have with all the food we brought. We watched a few football games on the huge living room TV. We ate our meals inside and outside on the deck and by the campfire. We brought 3 other couples with us and had plenty of room in this house. We hope to rent this house again next September!!

This house fit our family of 11 perfectly. This was our first time staying on the private side of the lake and the water was so warm! It was amazing to just jump off the dock and fish. The kitchen was big and we weren’t on top of each other when preparing dinner, BIG plus. There were two fridges upstairs and one by the bar downstairs, which was convenient for all of our groceries. The house is a little older and a little outdated furniture wise but nothing crazy. The bedroom with the king bed downstairs also doesn’t have a door for the bathroom, so just an FYI if you like to go privately with a closed door. The wifi isn’t strong, which didn’t bother us much because we were outside almost all day. The kids LOVED the movie themed room as well. We definitely took advantage of the paddle boards and kayaks. It was great that the water gradually gets deeper so our younger kids were able to play freely in. There’s also a little beach area for the younger kids to play. We used the fire pit every night to make delicious s’mores. Overall, my family and I enjoyed this house a lot and the kids already want to go back!

We LOVED this house and the owners are so nice and very helpful and detailed. I cannot say enough about how much they went above and beyond with answering our questions, even measuring a doorway for us!
Since I rely heavily on reviews when I choose a rental I am going to list pros and cons:
PROS:
~very large, spacious house (15 people and not crowded)
~all 4 of the bedrooms have attached bathrooms
~nice walk in closets in each room
~showers were nice w/bench seat and great water pressure
~movie room sleeps additional people
~nice sized laundry room (we actually put a twin air mattress in it and used it as a bedroom)
~billiard room was great
~plenty of TVs
~basement was very spacious with living space & full kitchen
~upstairs kitchen is huge and very well stocked
~large deck wraps around and has a gate that locks for safety of toddlers
~fenced in yard for kids to run around and play ball (but please note that the fence didn't go the whole way around. space went under the deck and had opening at one end)
~back yard was pretty level and not a real long walk to the waterfront (a lot of bare spots in yard made for a lot of mud)
~very nice fire pit and really nice that they provide firewood
~beautiful trees gave lots of shade (does block some of the view of the lake but still such a beautiful view)
~PLENTY of chairs outside (nice to not have to take lawn chairs)
~1 row boat; 3 kayaks; 4 stand up paddle boards (inflatable island not there)
~zero entry into the lake and sandy bottom was nice for kids (but be aware that there really isn't a sandy beach, just about a foot or so of muddy sand)
CONS: (not deal breakers...just be aware)
~only a handful of TV channels
~internet is pretty slow and unable to do Zoom meeting
~although kitchen is well stocked it is very unorganized and most utensils and pans were very old
~large pantry but half full of disposable plastic containers, etc.
~2 separate dining tables (couldn't all eat together)
~2 separate areas in the living room
~a little musty downstairs but not enough to bother my allergies
~bedroom w/queen bed has very, very small bathroom but a nice shower
~kitchen faucet is hot on left and cold on right (just be aware)
~large opening at top of stairs (there's no way to fasten a child safety gate but we used a few sections of free standing child safely fence to block it off and that worked well)
**It was a good price for an older but very nice lake house! We will rent again!

This property was perfect for our family of 11. We had plenty of space inside and out. There were plenty of bedrooms, 2 Master Bedrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs. The kitchen was fully stocked with more amenities than we could use. It was nice having the fire pit,
kayaks and paddle boats. We utilized them all. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this beautiful Lake House.

Lovely Home and Excellent Stay
A beautiful home that matches the advertised pictures. Excellent communication with owners. Good instructions regarding home access, use of amenities, and check-out process, etc. The only thing I would improve would be the early checkout time (10 am) but they probably would have been amenable to a few more hours. Either way, I would stay again. No surprises and I like that.

What a beautiful home! The two King Size bedrooms were fantastic! Very spacious! The queen room did leave something to be desired as far as space, but honestly, with such a large family and beautiful lake, you spend so little time in the bedroom, it doesn't matter much! The kids bedrooms were great for cousin sleepovers! The kitchen was very well stocked and had a fantastic flow to it, making cooking for 13 easy! The kayak and paddle boards spent more time in the water during our week's stay than they did on land! The fishing wasn't the best, but that probably had more to do with the 7 rowdy kids than it did with what the lake had to offer! The hosts were nothing short of AMAZING! They checked in on us to be sure we were enjoying our stay and were INCREDIBLY responsive when we had questions!

4 adults and two children had ample room at this beautiful house. The kitchen was so well stocked! Any kitchen appliance you could want, you could find. Beds were comfortable. There were lots of movies for a variety of age ranges. We used the provided kayaks and paddleboards every day. It was absolutely lovely. I would rent this house again.

This gorgeous house is perfectly situated with its own beach on Lake Anna. Its even more beautiful in person. House is stunning with the most lovely view of lake. We spent hours on the lake every day and enjoyed the wonderful pool table each night. Would definitely recommend this place and would love to return!

We were a multi-generational family ranging in ages from 7 to 84. This gave everyone the opportunity to be together or to have time apart. The kitchen had everything you would need. The kids loved the water and the fire pit area was a gathering place for all. We had originally planned this family reunion trip for 2020 but then had to cancel. So glad we rescheduled. Liz

We loved it. 3 adults and 3 kids. Everyone had a bedroom they liked. The kitchen had an expansive array of pots, pans, equipment and there were two grilles. We used just about everything making dishes from burgers and dogs to key lime pie to lasagna. The kayaks and paddle boards kept us all busy having fun and exploring the lake which had plenty of fish to catch. The views from the spacious house to the lake were captivating. Unlike some other houses we've rented, the owners labelled the light switches in every room making it easy. The kids loved the pool table and air hockey table. So did the adults. It was a great restorative trip after a year of COVID and other family challenges.

Best week!
We spent 5 glorious days at She's a Brick Lake House over Easter break. We cannot express enough how thoughtful, kind, and responsive the owners are. There was more than enough room for 4 adults and 7 kids. The house was clean and had everything (and more!) that we needed in the kitchen. The grill worked great, too. We had so much fun fishing off the dock, paddle boarding, kayaking, playing yard games, and splashing around in the water. Lounging in the Adirondack chairs around the campfire at night was the perfect way to end each day. Air hockey and the movie room were also big hits. All seven kids agreed they want to live at this lake house forever!

Can’t wait to go back!
My family spent spring break at She’s a Brick Lake House and absolutely loved it! The house was warm and inviting. We had everything we needed and more we didn’t know we’d want. Like all the large TVs in different rooms. Adults could watch a movie upstairs or in the lounge area and the kids were safely tucked away in the movie room watching their own. Our kids now want to redecorate their room at home and share bunkbeds!
The water access was by far the highlight for us. With little kids 3 & 5, the shallow water on sandy beach was fantastic. Both kids just ran right in to swim. When they weren’t swimming, they were building sandcastles, or we were all trying out our skills on the standing paddle boards, and later the one-man kayaks.
We watched bald eagles fish at sunset around a campfire and listed to foxes and other night animals while we got the kids settled for bed.
Overall, this was a fantastic trip. The owners were so kind and responsive at all requests. The house was amazing, the view was great, and nestled in the little cove with slow water was just what I wanted for my kids. We're already planning for a return!

10 of us (three generations) had a wonderful time relaxing, playing foosball, billiards, air hockey and many children's games, as well as Disney movies on big-screen TV. Enjoyed the water, even in February. Owner Gregg was very responsive, before and during our stay. Look forward to returning some summer! James. Tucson, Arizona

This place was great for adults, teens and young children. There were plenty of kayaks, a row boat and even paddle boards to use. Plenty of life vests to accommodate our group. The house large with all amenities that you need for a great vacation. We traveled with 3 families and there was something to do for everyone. Hope to book here again.

The house had everything we needed for our weekend! Plenty of space for a large group and enjoyed all of the outdoor activities. Kitchen had everything and great size for cooking big meals. Have no complaints!

Although the weather didn't let us experience the outdoor stuff the place is amazing. Very spacious and clean. Everything is provided and all you need to bring is the food you will eat. My whole family had a wonderful time.
