Perfect getaway from the hustle and the bustle (and the heat). If you're looking for hikes, small town vibe in a place with great hosts, look no further. The house was clean, had everything needed and Tammy was great as a host. Gave plenty of recommendations for activities and even an extra scoop of ice cream from their shop nearby! Would love to return for another visit sometime in the future.

This house is so delightful! The location is perfect...food and ice cream close by. The house has everything you need for your visit. And, the sunroom had a wonderful view of the water...

We really enjoyed our stay in Lubec. The house was amazing, the views were incredible. Everything you needed for a quiet, peaceful, and relaxing vacation. The host was very good at answering our questions as we had never been to Maine before and her suggestions for things to do were great. Came to see the leaves changing and Mother Nature did not disappoint. The house was very clean and had everything we needed from a fully equipped kitchen to great internet, to an overall comfortable furnishing. I would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Lubec.

We were staying here when Lee passed by the area on 9/16 and lost power for 8 hours, which we expected. Owners were great about communicating about the outage and had left us flashlights and a lantern. All fine with us.
Unfortunately, we did not know that hot water was gone the night of 9/17 until 9/18, when there was another power outage later in a limited area that included this house that lasted 18 hours…we never figured out why. Owners were kind to provide a gift certificate toward part of dinner that night, as we could not cook.
So, nice place and owners…there were just problems over which owners had no control, which made our stay less pleasant, which is the reason for the overall rating of 4, not 5.

The hosts were responsive, kind, and completely accommodating. The house was nicely stocked with essentials, plenty of linens, and an assortment of games to play at the generous dining table. The location was nearly perfect with a great view from the sunroom - our favorite spot from morning to night. If you are looking for a quiet getaway yet being located in the town’s center, then this place is for you. We are happy we chose to stay here.

Easy access to house. Owner available if needed and kept in touch to see if there were any problems. Everything we needed was provided Several rooms for different projects going at once but we used and loved the sun room with the view of the bridge to Canada and we used that several times. Lubec is a walking town but also lots of trails, well maintained in the area. My favorite area of Maine.

We love the coast of Maine but don’t enjoy crowds. Lubec was the perfect vacation spot for our family of 4 (two boys age 10 and 12) to hike, explore, and reconnect. The host was lovely and communicated everything we needed to know about the rental. The house was charming, very clean and cozy. We enjoyed the well equipped kitchen to make our meals and appreciated that everyone had their own space for sleeping at night. I especially liked the screen porch for reading. The home is located in town and is a quick walk to the coffee shop and restaurants. It’s also a short jaunt to Mowry Beach where we beachcombed every evening. Thank you for our stay, it was exactly what we were looking for!

Clean, comfortable, had everything we needed. Perfect location for walking around town, to the beach--farmer's market and ice cream in the front yard! So much to do of beauty and interest in the area--despite fog we did it all. Coastal trail at Quoddy Head, Roosevelt's Cottage, and Cobscook Shores a must--as well as lobster in the sunroom! We met many lovely locals, Monica of Monica's Chocolates being one. Thanks Tammy for everything!

Town/Village was historic. Loved the Dockside Treasures. Cohill’s was nothing to write home about. We enjoyed the whale watching tour, although we did not see a whale.

Cozy Historical Home
Comfortable, warm home in Lubec, walking distance to all Lubec has to offer. Home is as shown in photos and description. Tammy is a great host; she was very helpful with our sightseeing, messaging with details and suggestions, one being the Cobscook Trails. These trails are well maintained, offer great views, some history, and varied nature sights. When we arrived there were no surprises, no issues, the home was clean, well equipped, Tammy even had a bouquet of fresh clipped Spring flowers for us. We relaxed in the sunroom every day; having morning coffee while watching the tides roll. Lubec is a quaint town, close to many trails and beaches which we enjoyed during our stay. Tammy, thank you for creating such a wonderful retreat. We will return to your home when in Lubec and we recommend it to everyone.

comfortable home in peaceful, beautiful spot
The sunroom in this home provides a comfortable, cheerful spot from which to enjoy one of the most admired views in Lubec--even on wet and stormy days. All other times, is a wonderful place from which to enjoy numerous hiking trails with spectacular views, Lubec Brewing, a great coffee bar/bakery, and Turtle Dance art studio across the street.

Get place to relax while exploring the Lubec area. We returned to the area in large part bc the home was so cozy. The sun room is awesome with a great view of the water. The location in Lubec couldn't be better either, walking distance to everything!

Love At First Sight
Tammy and Dan were incredibly responsive before and during our trip! The home was perfect for my husband and me, though certainly could have held a couple more people! The kitchen was great to have, not fancy but sufficient for what we needed! I’m a creative cook and was able to make 3 dinners! Loved Lubec and is remoteness and the bounty of nature and hiking. The only disappointment was that we didn’t get to Campobello, sooo close , but we didn’t want the hassle of Canada’s covid testing and reporting system. Alas, our favorite part of the house was the porch!!! We were in Lubec for 5 nights and could have stayed longer!!

Wonderful location overlooking the Campobello Bridge to Canada and ... just a few feet behind a wonderful ice cream/gift shop! The house was very comfortable and well appointed. It was our second time at the same location in Lubec and would hartily recommend it and our host Tammy..

as pleasant as always
This was our third year spending time in this comfortable home in the fall. The sunroom is always pleasant, morning, noon, or, night, rain or shine.
This year we were excited to explore five of the eleven new Cobscook shores parks, as well as return to some of our favorite nature preserves. The location is ideal!

We were so happy to be able to get away to Maine during these crazy COVID times. Lubec was great, we loved everything about the area. The home had everything we needed, and Tammy was more than wonderful at sending us ALL the current info ahead of time to let us know what would and would not be open, hours, what trails we had to see...highly recommend for a relaxing getaway. Loved the views of the bridge from the house, and can't wait to return when we can cross the border.

Five stars aren't sufficient. The home is perfectly located in Lubec and is extremely comfortable. We loved walking to the beach, to the wharf to view the tides, and the nearby restaurants.
Tammy provided all kinds of valuable advice on what to see, where to hike, and where to eat. The photos on VRBO perfectly depict what the house looks like. We can't wait to return!

Cozy Home In Great Location
Downtown with the shops, restaurants and Lubec Brewery all just steps away. The home is super comfortable. A sun room with a great water view where we had coffee in the morning, wine in the evening. King sized bed piled high with quilts. Super responsive heat to take off the overnight chill. Fresh lobsters a walk away, and a pot in the kitchen! And close to all kinds of wilderness area including Campobello. We'll be back!

Ladies week in maine
Wonderful house in a quiet friendly town. Campobello is a must see so this cottage was perfect. Well stocked with working appliance. Owners gracious and helpful. We visited off season so many shops were closed but we didn’t mind. Easy drive to both east and west Quoddy lighthouses. Great hiking and exploring. Seals, whales, porpoises plentiful.

Cozy Cottage in the Heart of Lubec
We couldn’t ask for a better location, being steps away from the main business street (Water Street) and a view of the Lubec narrows and the bridge to Campobello. The screened-in/glassed-in sunroom was great. The house was built in the late 1800’s and has been renovated. The downstairs electrical circuits are adequate, but upstairs had only one outlet for each bedroom. The in-out fans in several of the windows were very helpful The owners, Tammy and her husband Dan, run the ice-cream shop next door and were very accommodating and quick to bring extra household items, like extension cords and pan lids. A nice surprise was to learn that the house was equipped with a large lobster pot and lobster tools like picks, crackers and bibs.

Would highly recommend for overall charm and location.
Dan and Tammy are great hosts, concerned about creating a stress-free and comfortable stay for us. Their steps away ice cream/souvenir shop is most convenience for an after dinner stroll around the waterfront! Loved the whole experience.

Charming, comfortable, convenient
Lovely house, comfortable, conveniently located close to bridge to Campobello and to a number of Lubec restaurants. Lots of kitchen utensils and cooking ware - easy to self-cater. Beautiful sunroom, I would have loved to curl up with a book and cup of coffee in there (sadly we were shirt on time). We enjoyed our stay at this home and wished we’d stayed longer.
