About this house rental
Welcome to Castello at Castle Point Paradise! Located on the Seneca Lake Wine Trail, this modern cabin offers a beautiful view of Seneca Lake that can be enjoyed from one of the private balconies or the spacious deck (in the hot tub!)
Inside Castello, you’ll find a fully furnished kitchen with a small granite topped island. A great spot to cook or entertain. Just off of the kitchen is a small half bath.
The Living room area is open to the kitchen and the dining room. There is a gas burning fireplace in the living room for cooler nights and the dining room table seats 8.
The Master bedroom is adjacent to the Dining area and has a King size bed with an en suite bathroom. This bathroom is open to the bedroom area and there is not a door connecting the two. The bathroom has a tiled walk in shower, toilet and vessel sink.
From the Dining area, you can walk out onto the large deck through the back entry door. The basement level door and the stairs to the second floor are also located off of the Dining area.
Upstairs you’ll find 2 bedrooms with a queen-sized bed, TV and a private balcony for each.
In the basement, you’ll have plenty to do! The basement is a family room with a sectional couch, TV, pool table, and small wet bar area.
There is a Queen size Murphy bed in the basement that sleeps 2 as well as a full bath with shower. The laundry area is also located in the basement.
The 32’ X 18’ deck will leave you with plenty of outdoor options. You can enjoy a meal cooked on a gas grill and relax on the comfortable poly furniture. And after the evening lights fade you can climb into the hot tub to soak your worries away. The yard is large and spacious, with plenty of room to bring outdoor games. There is a patio and firepit area in the yard for enjoying a campfire on cooler nights.
The location of the cabin will not disappoint – far enough off the beaten path to give you privacy on your vacation but close to the main road and several of our area’s greatest attractions. Only 2 miles from Severne Point boat launch.

The location and home was lovely. We always stay, annually, at VRBOs and in the Finger Lakes. The furnishings are usually very comfortable. This time, however, I have to say there wasn’t much in the way of comfortable seating for the 5 of us. The dining room chairs were uncomfortable. The leather chair was comfortable. The outdoor seating was VERY comfortable, loved it. I’m sorry but the beds were extremely uncomfortable. Soooo soft. Sorry.
Also, I would advise putting a rubber mat in the upstairs shower. One of the ladies fell back into the shower when she slipped while stepping out. Fortunately only painful bruises,( and she’s in good shape physically), so I think you really should think about that. She’s a nurse and felt you should know.
Loves the fire pit at night, it was so relaxing. Again, put some money into the mattresses, no pun intended.

Castello was amazing. We had a great weekend! The deck and outside area was so cool! It was perfect bc for our family of 7! We had everything we needed except wood for the fire out. Which was right down the road. Great location, great amenities! Ruth was awesome with communication! We will be back to Castello!

The property was clean and located in a quiet area. We were able to walk Watkins Glen and enjoyed the hot tub at night. The property was exactly as described and gave us time to reconnect as a family.

kitchen was well stalked with an island for extra prep space. but the dishwasher has a broken door, but works. also many of the dinnerware was chipped, time to replace them. the downstairs was great for movie watching. bedrooms were adequate, but no place to put suitcases or a small dresser. also more bath towels would have been nice. the deck has a wonderful view. overall we enjoyed the location.

Our family of 8 had a wonderful time in this cabin but it had it pros with the cons.
Pros: beautiful property, deck had a nice but far off view of the lake. There was plenty of flat yard area for outside games. The fire pit was a beautiful area. The house se was very clean and comfortable. Both upstairs bedroom had balconies which 2 of our married children enjoyed each morning. It was a short drive to Watkins Glenn (the reason for our stay) and surrounded by many vineyards if you’re into wine tours.
Cons: it sleeps 8 but you cannot seat 8 in either of the living room or basement family room without using kitchen chairs or sitting on the floor. There are also only 4 chairs around the fire pit. The blow dryer and DVD control was missing and the master and basement bed were not comfortable. The hot tub was not hot.
Conclusion: Depending on your choice of activities, this property offers everything you could desire for a family weekend away but for the price, it falls just short of perfect. I would definitely recommend it to anyone in need of a large family vacation home near Watkins Glen, I just wish it hadn’t been so expensive with all the added fees.

Great location to be able to drive to many places- hiking, breweries, wineries,
Cheese tasting,

Two issues: the hot water supply was kicked off due to power outage. It took us a "hot" minute to figure it out. But once it was on it worked great, plenty of hot water for all. The hot water unit itself sounded like a freight train, very loud for the guest in the basement. The only other issue less than satisfaction was the grill. The burners were rusted out. Please replace the grill before the guest arrive~!

Great experience and amazing views!!
We had a great time on our trip! The house was beautiful with amazing views. Only issue was my email said the address was 3927 and the house is 3929 so we got confused. The hot tub also could have had a little more water in it and the dish washer didn’t work. However those were just little things compared to how amazing the house was was and how much fun we had! We hope to return to this same house next year :)

Great stay! Great location!
We had a group of 8 adults- 4 couples, and our stay was amazing! Perfect location on Seneca Lake close to some of our favorite wineries and also a great location over to Penn Yan(only 15min!). We enjoyed the beautiful view of the lake from the house and the hot tub and firepit were a great added bonus for hanging out at the house in the evening. We used Keuka Lake Limo for a 6 hour winery tour/driving that picked us up right from the house and had a great experience with them as well. The house was very clean and the beds very comfortable! We will definitely be back!

Overall amazing!
It was a fantastic property, clean, cozy, good location! Owners were responsive. The only hiccup was that our Code didn’t work when we’re were checking it. We tried calling the number a few times but no answer, however they emailed us back quickly and were able to reset it and give us a code instantly. We will definitely rebook this property and currently talking about it on our way back home.

cozy
The place was clean and cozy. Perhaps not the best place to go between Christmas and the New Year, during a pandemic. Many businesses were closed.

Girls wine weekend tour
We had a great time. The property was a perfect size for our group of 6, and it was very clean. The activities ( pool table, hot tub, fire pit, movies) on site were perfect after a long day in the wine trails. Thank you for a great weekend!

Wonderful vacation
Great property with enough room to fit the entire family comfortably! Very clean property with a lot of great extra features. We loved the hot tub, fire pit, and pool table! The only thing that we would have liked is closer proximity to lake access, but we would rent this property again!

Beautiful Cabin
Contactless check in was ideal and simple. The cabin has 3 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, and an extra bed in the basement. There’s a full bathroom in the master bedroom which is great. The cabin was clean and tidy and had everything we needed for a short stay. Enough pots, pans, plates, cups, etc in the kitchen to make a meal if needed. The game room in the basement is a fun perk. Nice warm fake fireplace in the living room. The jacuzzi was nice, but the buttons to change settings was difficult to work. The first night in the jacuzzi was nice and warm at 104° on a 15° night, but then the temperature decided it wanted to stay at 94° the second night so I’m not sure what happened there. Also, the bed in the master bedroom is horrendous. You can feel the springs coming through so it must be pretty old. I’ll have to see my chiropractor after spending just two nights sleeping on that. One more thing: the heat in the master bedroom doesn’t function like the rest of the house, not sure why. We were freezing, thankfully they had extra blankets in the dresser. Overall, I would come back and recommend this place so long as they replace that mattress lol.

Very enjoyable
This was our third time at this property...we love it. However, this time we had an issue with no water...we had to keep resetting it ourselves. Someone did come out the first night and got a plumber the next day, so we were happy the addressed it quickly.

Wonderful Fall Weekend Getaway
Had a wonderful experience staying at Castello. Accommodations of the cabin were tremendous and it was centrally located between Watkins Glen (20 minutes) and Geneva (15 minutes) along the Seneca wine trail. Had we not planned many other outside activities (wineries, park, apple picking, farmers market), we would have stayed at the cabin to enjoy all of the various amenities provided. Booking was simple and Jolene was very communicative about the entire process. Highly recommend staying here if you want a memorable weekend in upstate NY wine country.

Christmas away from Home
We had a perfect time at Castello and I wrote about it in the guest book. We usually host a lot of people for Christmas and this year that wasn't going to work for me since I have had a lot of health issues and just needed a break and to relax with just my husband and children. We wanted to feel like we were actually having a restful vacation rather than being hosts and feeling worn out after a "vacation". This was only 1 and a half hours from our home. We stopped at Sauders on our way and got all our groceries for the meals we planned. Once we got settled at Castello, we never had to leave again until it was time to go home. So comfortable and cozy. We are talking about doing this every year! Many memories were made. The perfect place to enjoy my family, feel truly relaxed and get real rest. We are very thankful for Castello!

Our stay was wonderful. I only have two concerns, the first was the freezer door seemed to not be working when we arrived so the fridge was not cold and the food we brought wasn’t able to stay cold for the first hour or so. My other concern was the stool to get into the hot tub should have some type on mat on them, they’re plastic and very slippery.
The house was beautiful and felt very comfortable.

Perfect Place
This place is perfect. It is clean, well appointed, and in a great location, with a nice view of the lake and across the street from the Herman Weimer winery. The deck is huge and relaxing. Enjoyed the fire pit. Flatscreens in every room. The showers were modern and spacious. Every detail thought of! The only suggestion I would offer that could improve this place would be to plant some pines or other trees between it and the other cabin. They are by no means on top of one another, but even at about 50 yards apart, with just open field and no screwing, you can see your neighbors easily. That is the ONLY thing i’d do differently. Joleen the property manager was incredible to deal with and made every effort to answer all my questions and was able to shift some things around for us - a true professional! We would definitely stay here again!
