Staying in the heart of Arima
Nothing
5.0 / 5.0

No one stay in hotel when I arrived the hotel.
I take more than 2 hour to solve problem and get a key.
I have to paid 1000 yen for parking but in the morning when I want to go out I have to pay extra 1650 yen for parking automatically machine.
No one tell me about extra parking.

The accommodation was in perfect convenience location and the staff and owner was accommodating and kind. The breakfast at the bakery Cafe de Beau was delicious. We’ll definitely return.
Nothing as everything was perfect :)

April 2023 2 day, 1 night. Exceeded expectations! Hotel was modern tatami style, our room was very clean (I'm very picky on that), and Onsen hot spring facilities next day were amazing (heart of Japan's oldest hot spring town). So convenient they allow us to drop off luggage first at cafe while we explored before check in. The free morning drinks at the cafe were a plus and we enjoyed the street food next door(Osake manju, beef/onion croquettes, and chicken spice karage are a must try). Also enjoyed the hot spring guide, pajamas, and towels/amenities. Not only did I feel comfortable (difficult for me being OCD), felt very taken care of here! Thank you to kind ryokan hotel manager and staff, hope to come back soon!!!!!
Nothing, I really prioritize newer / clean spaces and this place had what I needed. It made the stay very comfortable for me as someone who has a hard time feeling at home in new locations/beds due to OCD. Slept very safe and sound.

Location. 1 minute walk from kin no yu & 3 minute walk from gin no yu. Room was big for Japan. Room done in all light wood made room very bright. Very modern presentation. Only 6 rooms on the property so very quiet. Not your typical hotel.
Nothing.

Nice friendly staff. Easy check in and check out. Parked our car at the car park indicated by hotel and there's a shuttle bus waiting there to pick us up after we parked the car. Location of hotel is good, close to the attractions and just beside a geiko cafe where you get to watch geiko dances at 12pm. When we checked out at Goshobo, the hotel arranged a shuttle bus to drop us off at the car park to collect our car
Need to climb a few flights of stairs after checking in at Cafe de Beau to get to the hotel room. This is unavoidable as the whole town is not on even terrain

Nice Location, stylish large room
Very dusty under the bed, the heater (Air conditioner) was also very dusty.
The breakfast was confusing. I paid extra for breakfast for two people. You have to go downstairs to a seperate bakery where you choose some bread. You can choose 3 pieces of bread (per person), under 300yen. This system is confusing, and staff didn't know the details well. There needs to be better communication between staff.

Excellent service. Welcome drink at the cafe, many variety, including their original blends. (Tried their cakes too while we're at it and they were GOOD.) Breakfast had tons of variety of savory to sweat bread too, straight from their own bakery.
Very friendly and helpful staff, giving us a lot of recs for places to go to.
Very awesome room, located right in the middle of everything.
We kept going, omg this is the best stay ever.
The hot water tap takes about 5 minutes to get hot, but since we came for the onsen, we only used the bathroom to wash our faces anyway, so it wasn't a big deal for us. It could be that we just didn't know how to turn it on properly, so best to ask the staff. (We just didn't care enough.)

Great big room with seperate toilet, nice beds and the tatami mat platform is a welcome touch that makes the room more Japanese. Location could not be better, on a little hill behind the famous Kin no Yu.
No complaints, everything worked well, was clean and great.

Literally everything was excellent. Located at the quite center of the main Onsen area; staff were friendly and kind; room was so comfortable and clean(also a good taste of furniture and stuff). I have to mention especially that a typhoon hit during our stay and Kin no yu and Gin no yu were closed temporally but the hotel staff offered us to enjoy a private Onsen place(where all of the quality were pretty nice, needless to say). I will definitely stay at this hotel again if I have a chance to come Arima next time.
Nothing!

The room is very central and easy to walk to from the train station or the bus stations (given that the village is surrounded by steep hills with many hotels some walking distance to reach, the location of this room was a real bonus!). It is very easy to reach the two main public baths and restaurants, visit the sights, and walk the various walking paths. The room was also super clean, modern and very comfortable. I was fortunate to have a balcony and a view on some trees too.
The rooms next to mine were noisy making it hard to sleep until the early hours of the morning - noise insulation could be improved.

The hotel sent a guide to take us to the annex, even though we already knew how to get there. The room was so stylish and comfortable; we were stunned when we opened the door. We could not believe we could get such a great room during such a busy time (autumn foliage was at its peak). Moreover, there were virtually no photos to see ahead of time, so the room was such a pleasant surprise The coffee inside was great, as was the fashionable water heater. The wood doors, the floor tiles, the lighting fixtures... everything was chosen by someone with exceptionally good taste.
Nothing.

When you get off the bus from Kyoto/Osaka, turn left and up the first street to Pan de Beau which is diagonally opposite Kin no Yu (the golden public bath). Register here & your luggage is delivered to your room whilst you have a complimentary drink to refresh yourself. It’s a short walk to the guest house (some steps), which is walking distance to so many attractions, not just bathhouses. Beautifully restored, with yukatas, clogs to use and a beautiful woven basket to carry your towels & toiletries to the public bath houses. Great atmosphere, food, clean air.
everything was great about the property!

The place is really clean and comfortable.
The location is really confusing. There are also different checking locations depend on the time of arrival.
