Amazing
We had an amazing month!!! We have rented many VRBO's but this property is by far the best!!! From the start of the trip, we knew this was going to be great. The hosts met us at the property to give us a tour as well as a cold beverage and snacks for the evening after our long flight. The house was extremely clean and comfortable. Very spacious!!! Only went out to eat a handful of times because the sunsets are SO amazing right from any of the 3 Large Lanais. The kitchen is well equipped. The extra freezer and refrigerator outside are a huge bonus. The AC units keep the bedrooms cool and comfortable. This side of the Oahu has a very local vibe with spectacular uncrowded beaches and great surf breaks that get waves year-round. The few small issues we had come up with were addressed immediately by the hosts with prompt communication. Not only did we have an amazing trip but truly know that our Ohana (family) is now larger and stronger with the hosts part of it. Mahalo!!!!

My partner and I stayed here for a month for a combo vacation/remote work trip. The house is perfectly set up -- great internet, a/c in each room, a fully stocked kitchen, lots of beach gear, and lots of space, including a wonderful lanai. Kalei and the family (Aunty Tammy, Uncle Bill, and Dee) were the perfect hosts -- we arrived to thoughtful Christmas gifts -- and the family was readily available for any small things that came up at the house. But most importantly, the location was just phenomenal. The house is about 15 mins drive past Waianae, in a very peaceful and quiet area. Makaha beach is the closest beach, is 2 mins drive (10 mins walk) -- amazing to watch the big waves and swim if it's not too large out -- and we also loved exploring all the other beaches along the coast to Ka'ena point. The area felt very safe and peaceful. We loved our month there and wish we could have stayed longer. Mahalo for everything.

Peaceful, rural retreat in Oahu

Surfer Paradise
Our five person group stayed here for the month of February. Working remotely, we found that the internet easily supported all five of us tuning into separate conference calls simultaneously. We especially prized the multiple workspaces with nearby outlets both inside the house and out on the lanai. Frequent whale sighting while working on the front porch even made working here an incredible experience.
Some noteworthy small touches that made our stay especially comfortable: excellent air conditioning in the bedrooms, an outdoor shower, and great water pressure in the two indoor showers. The bathrooms and kitchen were stocked with everything we could ever need and more (sharp knives, tongs, pots, pans, giant microwave, toiletries, beach towels, etc.). The grill and outdoor eating area enabled us to have the best bbqs ever. When it was time for us to leave, we did not want to go. The hosts are genuinely excited to welcome you into their property, they had the fastest turn around and were eager to share tips about the island and Hawaiian culture. A warning is that the pictures don’t do this house justice (it is roomier than it looks) and this review does not do the hosts justice (the house is family owned and the family showed us Hawaiian hospitality - ho’okipa - our entire stay).
The property is located in a prime spot - and even that is an understatement. It is a surfers paradise, a 15 minute walk to Makaha beach and a short drive to Pokai and Tracks. It was also a runner’s paradise - two of our female housemates are training for a marathon and ran several half marathons from the house to the point and back during our stay. There are no stop signs from the house all the way to the point and the drive/bike ride/run is gorgeous. We felt safe running alone before sunrise and after sunset to and from the property.
The weather was far sunnier than any time we visited the east or south side of O’ahu. We saw the weather all around the coast, so we can tell you definitively. This house has the best weather/views/price combination that you will find here. And the hosts? They made us feel like family, sharing stories and encouraging us to explore all the beauty that their home has to offer.
Whether it is to go surfing, to see the stars, or enjoy a piece of Hawaiian culture and beautiful sunsets. You will find something quite amazing to do here. It’s hard to capture how incredible this space is in a review but it met and exceeded all our expectations.

Roomier than expected!
Great hosts! Actually met us late at night to give us a real Aloha welcome. The Christmas decorations and little tree with gifts for the grandkids was over the top! Three roomy bedrooms and spacious kitchen with everything you need.

Our experience in this home was AMAZING! There isn't anything we didn't enjoy, the Beautiful beach, the AMAZING Mountain and everything inside the home. We had everything we needed to enjoy our stay in this spacious gorgeous home. This Family welcomed us with loving Aloha (wish we weren't so tired from traveling) They were always available to us whenever I had a question. Lived being on this side of the island (always stayed on other side) Learned so much from the Beautiful locals, enjoyed native restaurants and had the western most beach! Climbed the pillbox trail minutes from the home. Beautiful sunsets from your one of 3 balconies on this house! Great place to sit outside and eat at one of two tables and chairs provided, loved enjoying my morning cup of coffee with my Grandchildren and lots of peaceful serenity! Mahalo to this Wonderful Family for sharing their Beautiful property with us 🤗🌺🏝❤

Home away from Home
Came here with another co-worker to do a month long project in the area. This place is amazing and really felt like home for us after a long day at work. The pictures and description do not do it justice. The property Manager was always willing to answer questions both before and during our stay. The property was clean and very well taken care of. I would highly recommend this property if you are looking to get out of the city but still want to be close enough to visit during the day. I will be recommending this to any of my coworkers who happen to be working in the area as well as anyone coming to Hawaii to visit.
