Great location and clean boutique hotel. I also appreciated that there were some English speaking cable tv channels. I was also greeted at check-in by a cute little dog named Louis, the official hotel greeter😁
Nothing

Staff could be gruff but were amazing when my return flight was cancelled and they helped out. Appreciate their kindness.
Liked location in old town without cars and close to many downtown sites and Bahnhof.
Room was very small with twin bed. Expected more space for the price.
4.3
Very clean room with comfortable bed and linens
There was slot of street noise from the street in 2nd floor room

We stayed in late June in a Family Room with 2 adults and our 17 and 20 year-old kids. The location was excellent, an easy walking distance from the main Zurich train station (though the cobblestones makes rolling your bags a little noisy and bumpy). The hotel is very nicely and tastefully designed and decorated and felt very warm and welcoming and also very clean. Our room was spacious and the beds were all very comfortable. The windows opened onto a courtyard behind the hotel, but when closed, we didn't hear much noise at all and overall it was quiet and we slept well. I am not sure if it was because the soccer playoffs were going on, but there was a small communal room near reception where they had a large tv with the games on and we were offered free water bottles, beer, and prosecco. The hotel is in the charming old town area, and it was very nice to walk around the immediate neighborhood with lots of shops, restaurants, bars, and the river. We only booked 1 night on our way to the Bernina Express train, but it was such a nice experience we wanted to stay longer.
Nothing!

Perfect location right in the middle of everything. Easy walk to the bus and train station. It is impossible to get lost with all the clock and bell towers. The breakfast was exceptional. Absolutely the best stay. The hotel staff arranged the tours to Interlaken and Grindelwald for me. They also arranged airport transport. I loved this hotel.
All was excellent. I have nothing negative to say.

The Hotel Adler was situated ideally in the centre of the old town, where all the restaurants and shops are and near to a beautiful riverside walk with no more than around ten minutes on foot away from Zurich HB train station. My room was always thoroughly cleaned, and the breakfast was the usual buffet breakfast, with plenty of good choices.
I couldn't fault the Hotel Adler, it met everything I wanted for my short stay, a very helpful reception desk, a free computer which meant I could confirm my flight back home to England, and an excellent restaurant at the ground floor, which people queued to eat at in the evening.
4.3
Friendliness of personnel despite difficult situation due to the *festivities" in the center of town
Next time you have those "festivities" you better close the hotel, impossible to sleep with the music not to speak about all the littering in town. Things like this must be forbidden and that until five o'clock in the morning. Did the municipality of Zurich not ask your advise before this. Go and protest, all your customer were very unhappy.

The location is extremely noisy with a very busy courtyard below.

Very good location at a nice little square, walking distance (or 2 tram stops plus short walk) to the central station. I only stayed 1 night so this was perfect for me. Very clean room with a good size. Big shower with amenities incl. bath slippers which I love. Very comfortable bed. My room was on the 1st floor overseeing the little square, which also means people can look into your room with the windows open, however with the windows closed there are two types of blinds to block views out. Wouldn't recommend sleeping with windows open though. Complementary drinks in the mini bar and chocolates on the bed, such a nice touch!
Nothing I disliked, it was a lovely stay, just a thing to keep in mind: the building entrance is not barrier-free but has stairs (a friendly receptionist helped me with my luggage after checking out though). And while I do know that the price is not even expensive *for Zürich standards*, objectively the value for money is pretty crazy..

The wall paintings in the canteen area, the patio, the room, and all the other creative and lovely detailed interior designs.
The book with illustrations and insights about the historical backgrounds and stories behind the city, including architecture, streets, sculptures, etc.
The beautiful souvenirs provided (unique, hard to find elsewhere and also much prettier than what’s normally sold in stores in the city and at the airport.
The hotel location is convenient to go almost everywhere in the city on foot.

Excellent location, comfortable and clean rooms and super friendly staff - we felt very well taken care of

I stayed in hotel Adler before, like it very much. Clean, spacious room, bathrobe, slippers, umbrellas for guests, plenty of chocolates, complimentary drinks (3), tickets to Kunsthaus for half price (very cool). Obviously it’s 4 stars hotel but for some reason it’s rated 3. Well, better underestimate…
I wish I could think of something

This is my second stay and next time I am in Zurich I will stay again. I like the location very much and the hotel is very clean and good room size.
Although I like the restaurant of the hotel as it has delicious food the cheese fondue smell can be a bit overwhelming in the lobby and in the breakfast.

Very cosy hotel in the middle of old town Zurich. We explored the city by foot. Room had nice view to courtyard.

Very clean, great location and excellent restaurant.
With some of the streets shut down because of Christmas markets it was a little difficult to get to.

nice look and feel to the hotel and the location was great.
rooms were a little noisy.

Wonderful location - nice restaurant! Murals throughout the hotel, lovely and interesting. Staff very helpful with suggestions and directions.
There is NO parking anywhere nearby for a car, very expensive and inconvenient! There was no help with the luggage. Street noise can be loud at times.

The hotel is very well located in the old town of Zurich. It isn't too far from the main train station either. My room was clean and adequate for my four day stay there. The wifi was very reliable.
I can't think of anything I didn't like.
