Wunderbare Lage direkt neben dem Dom in Sovana. Sehr freundliches Personal.

The welcome and very friendly staff - all were so kind and helpful. Everything we asked for and it was possible we recieved with a smile.
The location is unique - the village the house and the surrounding are all authentic.
The swimming pool is beautiful.
Great relaxing atmosphere.
Free and safe car parking.
The wifi at the hall is steady, but at the rooms it must be improved.

The hotel felt like a family home that had opened its doors to us. The gardens and pool were a dream and the village was stunning -great restaurants and it’s small enough not to get too overwhelmed with tourists. The hotel was the perfect family place for families, solo travel, romantic getaways - as long as you want peace and relaxation. The staff were incredibly kind and customer service was beyond exceptional. I’m in love with the place and i’m already planning my trip back…..
Nothing, it was perfect!

the a/c in both our rooms were only there for show, and barely worked to provide any relief from the heat. Lounge chairs around the pool were not very comfortable. Hotel restaurant was closed the day we got there. A bit difficult to find how to get there by car without instructions (that the hotel did not provide). Too bad because the location is great and the grounds beautiful.

As we went out of season, we were the only guests staying so received 5 star service!! They went over and above to give us an amazing breakfast (catered for allergies too) which was exceptional. The venue was clean, tidy and very beautiful. If we are back in the area we would certainly stay again.
As we travelled out of season, the local restaurants were closed but we did get to travel to the beautiful Pitiglioni on their recommendation which was stunning.

The garden is really big and pretty and it seems to be in a cozy medieval city. I liked the woman working there, she was friendly.
Gorgeous office room with mac computer to use.
Gorgeous views from the windows on their gardens.
Lovely bath.
The price/quality ratio for low season in February is not right. They advertise not only being an hotel but also resort, I believe 4 or 5 stars? You'd expect excellent hospitality, congierge, 24h service (this was the main reason we have chosen this hotel), a professional reception and full and open restaurant at least with some sport or swimming facilities.
We never found their own personal parking site, we have parked on the streets but it was almost a ghost town so we trusted the locals very much.
We arrived very late, went inside to be welcomed by a tv on hard volume, a barking dog and a bar dividing a room where an old man was sitting. Checkin was okay.
But not resort standards. Tv wasnt turned off or volume turned down, so it was a bit overwhelming.
Room was okay, no charger sockets at bedsides but a non working old radio build in the wall.
We could use the socket at the desk and be creative with charging our laptops and mobiles. It seems like they arent adapted to the modern age in this sense.
It was just a bit dissapointing to see the swimmingpool being drained outside and only having a garden walk (which was pretty don't get me wrong, they even have their own labyrinth!)
I guess all in all they would better be off to rebrand themselves as an argiturismo. If done so, you dont mind pets walking around and it being run by a family. I didnt mind as well, it just an expectation which i had to turn around. I absolutely loved their little dog and cats and the dog was so cute and cuddly.
We were too late for dinner (after 21.30) and the entire town was closed, so they refused to cook for us and we went to another town the older man recommended, absolutely stunning but all restaurants were closed because it was getting really late by now.
So if you decide to book it in low season, just know that these are possible struggles to deal with and it is not like a resort who always has a full open restaurant serving you food.

Bed was very comfortable. Front desk helped us make a reservation at their restaurant nearby which had fantastic food for dinner. Breakfast was delicious.

It was very peaceful and was a good location. Breakfast was generous and tasty. The pool area was tranquil and the pool nice and cold. The staff was very polite.
There was no one to greet us and there were no signs of where to check in . No help to take in luggage - not even a luggage cart. The bed was too hard. My husband didn't get a good night's rest the whole week. The room was tiny.
