Disappointed

Dull outdated hotel. Couldn't eat in restaurant had to go into bar to order food yet nobody at bar too take order waited over 20 minutes for somebody to come who then radio another member of staff. Couldn't order another drink as again nobody there. At breakfast staff hovering round to remove plates soon as fork placed down. First morning sat down for breakfast for them to then start relaying tables ready for lunch very off putting as walking past table whilst we eating. We checked out a day early yet wasnt asked why just told to put key card in box. So disappointed.

Good ,clean and comfy rooms with helpful nice staff.

The room was large clean and apart from a couple of doors being banged late at night quite quiet. The beds are large and really comfortable

The rooms where the cleaners come in to get their cleaning things was close to my room and first thing there was some doors banging and noise but it was 8am.

For a 4* hotel this disappointed !

Bed - very comfortable and bedding was good quality. Breakfast - excellent . Great choice and full English was top notch . Receptionist - very friendly and helpful . Happy to help and very helpful .

Pool - had been shut for 3 years but is still on your website as open . Bar- came for an event and bar was advertised until 12 . Staff shut the bar and left about 1030. Other staff- not friendly in the hotel bar and was continuously moaning about other staff not turning up . Hotel bar - had very little choice of wine and drinks Food - no room service or bar snacks available until 5pm. Toilets- bar toilets were dirty with ants everywhere. Carpet- held down with duct tape. Event room - curtains hanging off

Suited for the event we were at, but wouldnt go there otherwise.

Car parking was good and staff friendly

Lack of choice behind the bar, limited wine, out of stock on many spirits and no Crisps, also very expensive. Ordered food which was obviously mass produced ready made.

Hotel just need a bit of TLC

Hotel was nice and clean and the food in the bar was good.

Carpet in the bedroom could do with upgrading. Lack of choice Drinks at the bar.

Room was OK. Good size, fairly clean.

Bathroom was ok but a bit old. Wifi was OK, but not great. Breakfast was an extra cost (£12 each) Room cost £100.

Convenient for city centre and university

Very convenient location if visiting university and city centre. All staff were polite , welcoming and helpful and the choice at breakfast was excellent.

A bit tired and in need of some tlc but everything in the room worked fine.

The food was to expensive for the quality. Asked for a wake up call to go to the airport and they completely forgot to wake us up and nearly missed our flight.

I really liked this hotel

the room was nice, clean, very comfort of bed. Breakfast - could be better but was fine. The staff in the hotel are honest, helpful, sympathic. It was so good to be in that hotel. I will be annoucment to my friends ect. Thank you.

the design could be little innowation, modern but is fine. I really liked this hotel.

Disappointing

Description says there is a pool. To go there we found out it’s been out of use for 3 years. Didn’t have basic items listed on their menu (like hot chocolate and green tea)

Dated, could do with a refurbishment

Staff were lovely can't fault then however the stay and the room questionable. Very dated and old, would need a refurbishment. Tap broken, shower old, though powerful but partner had to duck under the shower head to have a shower as the shower head was too low. Bed was comfy, carpets looks warn and that made it look unclean and unwelcoming. Doors slam shut so always woken up by this. Wouldn't stay again as also a bit pricey for what you get.

Very enjoyable, without doubt the friendliest and most efficient staff ever.

Very welcoming, friendly staff. Nice roomy reception area. Very good restaurant, both for breakfast and evening meal.

Room quite small and could do with being updated.

Overnight stay. Plenty of parking, slept well, so all fine.

Just stayed over one night after dinner and show. Rooms and halls are a bit bland and a tiny bit tatty, but very clean. Bathroom was lovely. Excellent shower.

they are very nice, it s very quite. good for relax and chill the breakfast it s good just the clening need to be improve. they don t change the towers and i see a lot of haire in the bed when we coming but in rest it s ok

First time stay

Great size, very clean room. Comfortable, large bed. Good amount of furniture, good size fridge and plenty of storage. Good drinks making tray. Very good size bathroom and walk in wardrobe. Great breakfast selection. Helpful, friendly staff.

Room was too hot making it difficult to sleep, even when the radiators were off. Good size TV, but very limited channels.

The staff was one of the friendliest staff I've ever experienced in a hotel!

One of the rooms had black fungus on the ceiling next to the window, most drinking glasses were pretty dirty

Norwich visit 2022

Staff were extremely helpful & friendly - we were in a room with stairs that was inaccessible for my wife and was rectified immediately, plus our phone charger didnt work and the receptionist leant us hers without question. Very helpful getting us taxis / directions / recommendations for the area also

The hotel is quite tired & is obviously used regularly as a stay for tradesmen working away, it was further away from the city centre than we thought - more than the 10 minutes walk that was advertised, but generally good amenities - not quite sure how it is £100 a night, I'm sure there would be hotels that have better spec in the area for that money
