Location was ok but difficult to find
Hotel needs some tlc on the inside. Really hard to find if you are not familiar with the area.
Breakfast was lukewarm.
No instruction upon arrival as to where the room was, where the lift was etc. Just given the key.
3.6
Nice and clean room, bed and room facilities was comfortable, car paking is convenient as it locates right next to the building. Good atmosphere bar.

Mattress had big hollow in centre, very poor nights sleep
Smell in room

Room is lean. Convenient car parking, good atmosphere bar

Good location. On site parking. Immediate response to blocked sink.
Small room. View of scuffy yard and bins. Noisy workmen.
Blocked sink.
Weird decor with a strange array of lamps and lighting.
Duvet smaller than duvet cover, so really uncomfortable and irritating with edges flapping around.
Breakfast was cold. Cold cooked food, cold coffee. No way of warming milk alternatives (oat). No offer of alternative eggs to cold scrambled, but when I asked, they were immediately provided and poached eggs were cooked for me. But the option wasn't offered upfront.
For a nicer and fancier alternative to a budget hotel, this was disappointing and honestly not nicer. In fact, in many respects, it was inferior.

Muy bien ubicado, a pesar de tener un aspecto clásico se ve bastante moderno por dentro. Habitaciones cómodas y bonitas.

Brilliant location friendly staff lovely comfy beds really lovely comfortable stay room and bathroom were spotless and staff so helpful

Very well located in the Old Town, close to transport, shopping and for sight seeing. A beautiful, historic part of town. You feel like you have stepped back in time, both where the hotel is located and the hotel itself. I was on the 4th floor with great view of rooftops and historic buildings.
The room whilst small, has everything needed for a comfortable stay...loved the quirky "King Kong at Clifton Suspension Bridge"!
Fun decor throughout the hotel...not beige place!!!
Great selection at breakfast, buffet style.
Ate in the bar in the evening, again food was good, friendly service.
Board games available in the bar...

Nice room
Very comfy bed
Good shower
Breakfast options could be improved

Good location
Requested a double and twin for my son and a friend. Hotel denied ever receiving the request so ended up with two doubles on different floors.
Bathroom was dirty. Blood from the previous occupants nose in the shower and weeks of dirty buildup around shower screen.
Beds in both rooms were very uncomfortable and very basic but ok if you want to hear the occupants next door coughing all night.
Breakfast is not 4 star, and frankly you are better off going out to one of the many local restaurants that serve brunch.

Kamer ok
Veel en veel te druk in de eetzaal… onhandig ingericht en niet geschikt in combinatie met grote groepen! Onmogelijk om rustig te kunnen ontbijten
3.6
Comfortable and clean
The sound proofing between rooms left a lot to be desired
3.6
Well appointed room and public spaces. Great location for the harbour and old town!
The 10£ service charge in the restaurant was too much and unexpected ! But the hotel accommodation was great.
3.6
Good location, clean and comfortable.
Breakfast wasn’t brilliant. Toaster wasn’t good.
3.6
Stayed previously and the room we booked wasn't available. Upon our re-visit they automatically upgraded our room to a Privelege by way of apology which was greatly appreciated. Room was clean, facilities all accessible, great location, can't complain!
3.6
Breakfast and hotel position okay.
Dining room and food not 4 star standard in our opinion. Dining room and menu very disappointing. Bedroom tiny. Certainly wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

On first inspection the hotel is nicely furnished and in a good location. The staff were friendly. I give them 3 out of 10 for that.
This 'hotel' is primarily an events space and secondly a hotel. Our room was above 'the largest banqueting hall in Bristol', where there was a wedding taking place. Our bed was physically wobbling from the noise. This went on until 1am! We asked to change rooms but it was apparently fully booked. Why weren't the wedding guests put in rooms above the hall?
The music was especially loud as the room only had a single pane glass. The bed was quite uncomfortable as you could feel the springs and the duvet had yellow stains on it.
The breakfast was supbar, the fruit was mouldy. They had ran out of juices.

perfect location. parking on site, lovely spacious rooms
3.6
The hotel and parking is in a great location and within walking distance to everything we wanted to visit.
Our room was tiny and reminded us both of a room a student would have in a shared house. Carpets could do with a good clean.
3.6
Bathroom was bright. Staff were friendly. Great location. Good value for money. Very nice communal areas.
Room was a bit tired, small, needed more lights. Was a little cold as the heater in room didn’t work.
3.6
Generator outside window until 10.45pm going. Fire alarms went off twice due to a drunk guest. No one answered phone in reception at all when I called down to ask what was going on, and if we needed to evacuate the building. Had to go downstairs in my pyjamas to find member of staff. No one answered reception phone when I called to ask for breakfast times. Not a good stay.
See above. Phone being answered would be a start.
3.6
Staff were very helpful and generous for my partners birthday
Insecure car park- do not use our car got broken in to and it seems to be a regular problem. That being said the staff were amazing about the situation and very helpful
3.6
The lobby and bar were lovely.
The check in lady was rubbish at her job. Very uninterested. Not helpful. The room was tiny. It smelled really bad. Like cigarettes. The beds were lumpy and old. Very uncomfortable. The carpet was stained. The hallways were full of empty bottles, glasses and trays. The car park had had several cars windows smashed. Very disappointing.

The location is great.
The room was tiny. The window didn’t close properly meaning it was never warm.

Location was great, the room was clean.
My fiance and i went to Bristol for an overnight stay. On our evening of arrival, the same young lady who checked us in earlier that day, was asked by my fiance where would be a good resteraunt to try. The young lady on the desk looked him up and down and said "Well, you'll be looking for cheap so there are a couple of all you can eat buffets near by." Not a great start.
Most importantly, the aircon had broken in -°C weather, the room was freezing, and despite a small heater I had to insist on an extra duvet. The young man at the front desk tried to say that the heater was enough, I had to make it clear it wasn't. It was horrible. The aircon kept turning itself on in the middle of the night too, so we kept being woken up by freezing air to the face.
Most worryingly, I paid cash on arrival (£92) but after checking out of the hotel the next day, I discovered they had charged my card by using the card details booking.com took to secure the initial reservation. We had to return to hotel and after 30mins, they discovered the same rude young lady didn't log the money. There was a staff party on that night at the hotel and staff were unreachable all day by phone, and scarce on the front desk. Perhaps in her excitement she forgot? The polite supervisor or manager cancelled the debit charge and apologised, but after the evening we had, it was a real kick in the teeth.
I had also requested to booked in for breakfast for £16 odd days before, but on the night of our stay, it was declined. The morning of, breakfast was for £10 and there was plenty of room.
I plan on contacting Mercure seperately via a complaint email, but I've been too ill since my stay here.

Excellent location in the heart of Bristol. Staff were very efficient and friendly and helpful. Breakfast was quite nice. Food in the restaurant was good. Reception staff very helpful.
The shower flooded the whole floor within seconds. Given it was a family room it was very inconvenient that none of us, including our daughter, couldn’t have a shower. And no bath. In the morning when we informed reception they gave us another room but it was around the corner from our room we all had to go in there to shower, which dropped the whole experience. Room was also very dark, would have preferred an external, rather than interior window. Was also quite surprised we had to pay so much for parking in the hotel car park. We did get a 25% refund which felt fair.
3.6
Friendly, great location, clean and comfortable
Room was slightly smaller than expected.
3.6
Great location, friendly staff
Having to pay £17 for car parking, surely for what we pay for the rooms this could be free.
3.6
Staff, omari in particular stood out, location excellent, bar lovely
Room was a let down with a view of a brick wall, considering price paid disappointing
3.6
the decor was super stylish and the hotel felt very luxurious. The staff were welcoming and the location was superb. Would definitely stay here again (but not buy breakfast!)
the breakfast wasn't great - stale pastries and cooked food that had been around too long! Orange juice in the jug had definitely been watered down too...

The location - walkable to anywhere in the city
The mattress - springs poking through, making sleep impossible, room swapped three times before a bed with marginally better mattress was found.
The air conditioning - didn't work in some of the rooms we were given/swapped too.
The staff (mostly were helpful) but we were made to feel like an inconvenience.
3.6
Great looking hotel, very well designed. Big spacious room, big bathroom and shower.
Location is good too, mins walk from central part where canals with bars and restaurants are
No gym
3.6
Rooms were quiet, could not hear noise from elsewhere, although there was constant, sound of air conditioning or
water heating. Not sure which. The bathroom did not have any direct ventilation to outside, or air conditioning itself.
So the humid air would have to go into the bedroom to escape. Probably explains why the windows were open when I
first went into the room.
LOCATION: Ideal city centre location, but city planners have totally fukced up the city centre. I had to park in Queens Square, for the weekend. I know there was carpark next to hotel, but it seemed to be first come first serve. So did not
bother with.
Was not sure if the carpark was owned by the hotel, or not. It would be much clearer to say on the website, or to be told by staff, that the carpark was owned by hotel, or had a FIXED NUMBER OF ABSOLUTELY GURANTEED SPACES
WITHIN THE CARPARK, i.e. PHYSICALLY RESERVED PARKING SPACES, so that hotel GUESTS ARE ABSOLUTELY
CERTAIN, THAT THERE IS A PARKING SPACE FOR THEM IN THE HOTEL, BEFORE THEY ARRIVE!!!!!!
BREAKFAST
Fine, croissants were 'toy town' 1/4 size. Did you buy them from Lilliput? Very dry. Coffee machine and coffee
very good. Good
**************************** All the staff were very pleasant and attentive to any questions. ***************
WHEN YOU STAND IN THE HOTEL LOBBY, WITH YOUR BACK TO THE MAIN DOOR, THEN THE ELEVATOR,
THE RIGHT HAND SIDE, ELEVATOR, HAS TWO BROKEN 'FLOOR BUTTONS'
TIME TO CALL 'OTIS ELEVATORS' : 01454 452810.

Great central location. Good bar and lounge area. Staff lovely. Hotel room very clean.
Very dated bedroom and very mix matched re lighting, furniture and fittings. Ironing board cover grubby as was iron. Hand shower did not work at all. Needs money spent on the room.
