Classy, beautiful and offers a relaxing stay.
Nothing.

Very classy hotel with quality fittings and furnishings
The only negative was that the lighting in the room was quite dim

Lovely views over to Clifton suspension bridge
The rate we paid for 1 night should have included breakfast. Had to wait till half 3to check in as our room wasn’t ready
Got to our room and the bins hadn’t been emptied.
All night long there was someone walking up and down the hallways keeping us awake. It was a treat for my birthday so wasn’t great

The parking issue is a little bit of a pain but it certainly wouldn’t stop me from staying here

Lovely staff, great location, outstandingly accommodating for a baby. Cot, changing station and even a baby bath!
Can't think of anything.

Great location
Parking was a little tricky, we had quite a long walk but they do give you a permit to park for free in a permit parking bay

The hotel food was very good
The room was very very average for the price I paid.
The staff at reception were ok but no real interaction or mskjng an effort for the guest.
The waiting staff were pretty rubbish, we waited so long to get our drinks even the tap water came after our bottle of wine arrived. No real interaction with us apart from taking our order.
There was absolutely no extra service given.
This was a big let down to the hotel as the food was extremely good but the staff most very did not match this. Wants. To return to stay in a suite at some point but will not be now.

The property was lovely, cosy and historic. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was exceptional.
The creepy picture by the bed, I am not a fan of old portraits. I had to cover it to sleep. Also our neighbours were so noisy they had the TV on 24/7 loudly.

Staff were kind and sevice was swift.
Rooms were so dark. Even though I booked view room, there were construction ladders outside and no views.

The local area, Clifton, was delightful.
The grouting in the shower was thick with muck, it was truly disgusting. The staff didn't seem overly concerned when we discretely reported it.

The location is outstanding, next to Avon gorge and Clifton, it was a beautiful part of the world. The views were gorgeous and when you got on the terrace it was a perfect place to eat and drink.
The first room we were allocated smelt of drains but worse had huge layer of dust in the corner. As an asthmatic with a dist allergy this caused an attack. No answer at reception so I had to go down two flights of stairs with an asthma attack. The receptionist moved us and carried our luggage but I would have expected a bit more than the same type of room for all that hassle and the lack of answer at reception. I didn't want to start requesting compensation or upgrades as I wasn't in a fit state but it seemed a bit off that my stay was so affected. And I worry that if I hadn't been able to get downstairs it could have been a lot more serious as nobody answered the phone. They seemed to just go 'oh we moved you' like that was enough. I pointed out there was weeks of dust in the room but it was just an apology. I wish I'd asked for a refund as it very much spoiled my stay.

Gorgeous boutique hotel with stunning views over the Clifton suspension bridge.

Great location and good facilities. The rear terrace below the Clifton Suspension Bridge a highlight.
Outside terrace bar closing early. Although understandable as restrictions due to neighbours.

location was fabulous nicely decorated we had a balcony room which had great views
balcony furniture could be better it was very basic and uncomfortable
the terrace was very busy seeing we were staying at the hotel setting could be reserved or priority staff in restaurant could be more friendly

The location is great. And that’s all.
The hotel is dark and old. The room is small, not very clean, dirty windows, dust on the ceiling. The most weird thing is that we were told at the reception that there would be no cleaning (we stayed 2 nights), instead we were offered a voucher for 2 drinks at the bar. But seriously, you are paying 170£ per night and there is no cleaning?! Not recommended at all.

Brilliant location in the heart of Clifton. Room was extremely well appointed and stylish with comfortable Bed, crisp Linen, lovely en-suite and a view over the River. Breakfast was excellent and freshly prepared and the view of the Clifton suspension bridge from the Dining room was stunning. The staff were extremely professional and attentive. Really enjoyed our stay, thank you.
I did struggle a little to operate the air conditioning/heating. My only real issue was that the mattress stood proud of the headboard resulting in the pillows sliding behind the mattress - a definite design error.

Superb location, and breakfast was excellent.
I thought it was a little too pricey, but then most hotels are too pricey now !

staff in the bar were quite rude when we ordered tea- then both our cups hadn’t been cleaned properly

Stayed here on few occasions because we like location, comfy bed, power shower and easy accces to great walks and restaurants. Premises were cleaner than usual and reception breakfast staff this time more helpful and friendly which made for a better experience.
Parking is an issue but managed to get a permit this time. Evening bar still does not serve soya milk hot chocolate or latte, please sort this out!

Reception, particularly the helpful person who helped me to park. And the person who organised the repair to the flushing system in the loo whilst I was out. Food and service in the restaurant, both at breakfast and dinner, was excellent. Value for money in the White Horse was excellent.
It would be good to have somewhere to sit with a book during the day, especially overlooking the gorge.
