Lå i en bra område av byen. Hyggelig personale.
Altfor lite rom. Dårlig ventilasjon.

Friendly and efficient reception.
£9 for parking is excessive in my opinion.

The room decor was lovely and the bed very comfortable. As a single person it was nice to be able to book a single room rather than pay for a double. Hotel was well located in the Clifton area so easy to walk to restaurants/cafes etc.
Parking was difficult although we did manage to get one outside the hotel (but had to pay).
3.7
Great location. Nice staff.
Very little parking; we weren’t able to get a drink from the bar because a wedding was on; and our room was on the third floor up some very steep stairs!
3.7
Lovely old property in a fantastic location. Staff very friendly. Has a nice relaxed vibe.
Parking!! But I think that’s unavoidable given its location. They have a working solution.
3.7
Locaition is excellent if visiting the Clifton Area.
However, the hotel whilst a beautiful building looks not to have been updated in decades.. The room was incredibly small. Had to walk crablike around the foot of the bed.

I could not sleep at all. A couple next door was so noisy! Four o’clock in the morning!
The noise carries too much

Location was excellent for everywhere in Clifton. Parking was easy as they have their own private road outside. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice touch that they phoned the day before our stay to see if we had any questions/concerns.
Would thoroughly recommend and stay again 👍
Nothing not to like about this place

Breakfast a tad expensive but well presented.
Room perfect
Location next to bus stop.
Staff extremely fr8iendly and helpful

Great customer service - on the telephone and in person - really warm, friendly and professional.
Lovely room in great location and very reasonably priced. Great all round!
Nothing - it was great!

Lovely staff in a nice old hotel. The location was great and lots of wonderful places to eat nearby. Easy to get to the city centre. We loved our stay here.
Parking is limited and there is no lift. This wasn’t an issue for us but could be for others.

Really liked the location, dog friendly which was good for me and the hotel garden was lovely !
Unfortunately the sound proofing is terrible! I could hear other guests in rooms next door coughing, spitting, going to the toilet and chatting late at night and coughing loudly in the morning! Which felt unhealthy and a bit grim! I moved rooms for the second night as first room was a bit too small, unfortunately one of the blankets in the second room was dirty and plastic toilet seat cracked but hotel staff did organise a replacement cleaner blanket. The first rooms window would not close properly but thankfully staff did get this sorted not ideal as it was pouring with rain! Stay overall ok ! Also the very vague evening receptionist was unaware about the hotels use of the Nuffield health spa, swimming pool and gym which guests can use! Thankfully the very helpful morning receptionist knew what I was talking about and gave me a discounted voucher so I could use the swimming pool there! I was able to sit and have my breakfast in the nice garden area but I did have to clear up my own plates and noticed the dining hall area was a bit messy however one of the morning staff members was very kind to bring me my breakfast out to the garden which was nice! Pros dog friendly and good location in Clifton but improvements necessary!

Reception manned throughout the night, as a solo traveller I felt secure. It was very clean, warm and cosy. Staff were helpful and informative.
If I'm really critical -The breakfast was very good, but not hot enough when delivered. It was still tasty, just could have been hot.
3.7
Staff were very pleasant and helpful.
Great Breakfast
Bathroom was dirty, but I was offered another room
No wake up call the first morning
Bed was like sleeping on a park bench, but then I don't like very hard mattresses

I booked a single room which was very small but had absolutely all I needed for comfortable two nights stay. Bathroom was a bit old but clean, there was hairdryer, tea/coffee, fridge and even fruit snack in the room. Wi-Fi worked excellent, strong and quick signal. The staff was helpful and polite. Location is pretty - very short walk from the magnificent view point to the Bristol Bridge and Cliffton Observatory.
Getting to the third floor with the luggage was for sure an achievement - stairs are very steep and narrow to get there. There is no sound insulation really anywhere so you can hear all to corridor and adjacent rooms. Luckily my neighbours were rather calm and quiet so it did not disturb my stay. The place is located a bit far from the very city center and rather uphill so it is easier to use bus which goes to Temple Meads via City Center. Bus stop is located just outside the property.

everything.
nothing.

Good breakfast and lovely staff. Location is central to Clifton village.
Housekeeping standards and upkeep of rooms very poor. Bathrooms and floors not cleaned for my entire stay. Additionally being on basement floor (Room 3) meant being subjected to loud noise from floor above particularly on weekends.

Terrible stinky bathroom. A lot of noise because of public toilette in front of room.
3.7
The bath and shower were great. The room was a nice size. The location was also not bad.
The parking wasn’t the best.
3.7
Excellent location near the Clifton village area. Easy walk around the locality with the suspension bridge just a few minutes away. Supermarkets and restaurants just across the road and downtown Bristol a short bus/cab ride away
Nothing to dislike really! The hotel delivers what it promised 👍

i book a room for my wife she check in around 10pm mostly all hotels are about 24 hours booking but some one start knock the door at 11 to check out 😡 and charge 10 pound extra

Great location, nice building
Room was on the small side, bed was not very comfortable
3.7
The staff were great and very attentive, from reception to house keeping. The location is central to Clifton Village with cafes, bars & restaurants on the doorstep and only a stones throw away from the Clifton Suspension Bridge and Observatory, ideal for viewing the Balloon Fiesta mass ascent!
The breakfast was good, providing you had the cooked option, otherwise it would expensive for continental only!
We were on the top floor No. 27 (attic room), although stairs are not normally an issue, the last flight were steep and difficult, particularly carrying cases! The room was bland in decor with white patchy woodchip wall paper and dated furnishings, plus it was small. It was also very warm too and although we had a desk top fan, it wasn’t enough and we couldn’t open the sash window any further due to its opening being restricted. The window also needed a good clean and a lick of paint. The bed base was stained and the en-suite just needs replacing - it had grimy grout lines, a mouldy bath screen seal, a poorly decorated & fitted bath panel and skirting boards, the sink tap was stiff, meaning water would splash up at you if you weren’t careful and the shower wasn’t powerful enough.
Having paid £482 for 3 nights (without breakfast) I would expect much higher standards. It’s a shame as it could be very nice, but it would need a complete overhaul!

The staff were very friendly
We were able to check in early which helped us massively
The bathrooms need an upgrade
Breakfast was very slow and ended up waiting 45mins for food

James the barman was excellent.
Room 121 smelt of drains. Toaster very slow at breakfast.
3.7
The staff were very welcoming and helpful and the location was ideal for exploring Clifton Village and the surrounding streets and shops.
My room was very small and I felt somewhat cramped.
3.7
Room was cosy and comfortable, staff were friendly and helpful. A fan was provided, which was much appreciated as it gets hot in the summer.
