Great location! Booked last minute and the hostel was very accommodating. Awesome rooftop spot where we enjoyed some BYO drinks with a great view of the city. Would definitely recommend ☺️
Soap in the shower would have been a bonus - but I’m just nitpicking!

The staff are lovely, great location, clean kitchen & rooms. All the people I’ve met here are super friendly. Best hostel I’ve stayed at in Brisbane (and I’ve been in almost all of them)

Reception staff were super friendly
Air con
Great city views from top floors with some half decent relaxation space
Pretty good location near to some other hostels. 20 minute walk from main shopping area, South Bank, & from Roma St train and coach stations.
Private double room was fairly comfy and spaciois
- We were quite perplexed when we were sat on the bed mid morning and had a cleaning staff member just walk in. We were a couple in a private room so we found it really intrusive and uncomfortable. It was lucky we were decent as we hadnt long come back from showering. maybe we just arent used to hostel life but we booked a private room for a reason and felt it was inappropriate to have a staff member just walk in unannounced, only to hoover a tiny portion of the floor as we had suitcases open and change a bin which had one tiny bit of plastic in there. Understand doing this for dorm rooms but it really caught us off guard and made us concerned about our valuables in the room too
- Toilet roll had often run out. Spares kept in the toilet would be good so people aren’t stuck without
- Aircon couldn’t be adjusted so I would wake up freezing cold every night (we were only given a sheet to sleep in) - by the final night I was wearing two hoodies to bed in order to not wake up super cold

I liked the views and the rooftop and the games and the free coffee. Air fryer in kitchen was handy also!
Rooms were absolutely freezing at night with no option to control air con. Only given a thin sheet to sleep with no warmth. No lockers for valuables. Bathroom was okay but showers were extremely unclean, lots of hair everywhere and shower curtains were mouldy and smelled like urine. Room had no window also felt like a prison cell.

I really like coming to this place.
The staff are nice, most of the people who stay here are nice too.
I like it because it's "chill" 😅
The key system is annoying, older technology.. Keys need to be re-coded if it goes near a mobile phone, air-pod case or anything magnetic.

Hostel with a nice view, nice staff and a good atmosphere in the hostel
The hostel and the rooms were dirty, no duvet just a very small sheet, a card system to open the rooms which does not work and an elevator which does not work at night…

really nice open communal space, staff were lovely and helpful
Ants in our room, very noisy halls

The staffs friendliness
Room advertised as air conditioned but it is not. Room advertised as sockets near bed but there was one socket in the middle of the room for 6 beds. Rooms very basic with no lockers. Showers not warm at all and toilets dirty. Cleaning staff left their trolley in the middle of the hallway for an hour which was blocking the way back to the rooms. Kitchen dirty.

I like the location, it's close to the city, the Train Station and the Bus Stop too and also the well-known Suncorp Stadium and not forgetting Coles, a nearest and the cheapest place for shopping.
I like the room just the four of us females and it was good.
I like the cleanliness of the place, it's always clean, tidy and smells fresh always. and much more it is SAFE.
I honestly didn't like some people snatching other people's food stuff. Someone got half of my bread and I couldn't even find my whole lettuce.
Also, it's a bit of a worry for the kitchen sink dirty dishes filling up, nobody cares.

I liked the staff, the bathrooms were clean but the showers were really small. An overweight person wouldn't be able to fit in them.
I didn't like the beds. They wobbled when I got up and down the ladder. I felt like I was going to fall off. Also, there wasn't much to hang onto, which made the bed more unsecure.

rooftop
it is used as a homeless shelter
people smoking weed on the rooftop

Location
Front desk lady was unfriendly and forced me to say hello before checking out when I was clearly hungover and in no mood for chit chat. Bed smelled like urine and toilets were disgusting. Stayed in hostels in 3rd world countries that were 10x better than this dump of a place.

The location was good and the Wi-Fi, excellent.

The room was quite small but for 3 people so that was nice. There is a nice rooftop and a elevator in the building
The beds are not comfortable and there was no charger near by the bed
2.5 / 5.0
location, very friendly staff, nice rooftop area
room was soooo smelly, you had to give a deposit for crockery which I understand helps keep the kitchen clean but it makes the room messy and stink! not enough plug sockets in the room, no lockers, tv room way too hot to sit in, Wi-Fi didn’t work anywhere apart from the lounge in the reception

Absolute rude staff. JADE in particular. She was at the reception desk and the rudest person I have ever encountered in Qld. I felt unwelcome and having someone so rude and unkempt reflects in the business.
She was speaking to me with a mouthful of hamburger, and was seemingly annoyed I interrupted her private call. I could not wait to get out of there.

Ubication
The kitchen is very little for all the people, and there are no plates or glases to use.
The bed is not good.

Would not recommend this place for a solo traveller or for a girl on their own! Pretty sure it’s a homeless shelter as a lot of unusual characters living there! Quite scary as a girl staying there! There was blood stains on our bedroom roof god knows what that was from? Man on the desk was a very nice person tho!

The lady on reception was nice & location is close to Greyhound bus stop
I have been backpacking over 10 years & never had to walk out a hostel before.. be prepared you may possibly need too as well if you are a backpacker – especially solo female.
I walked in, there were some (not meaning to offend) but shady characters in reception but I really didn't read too much into it. I then check in, lady seemed nice, I paid, she gave me my sheets & explained the hostel logistics/floorplan and I went upstairs. When I walked into the room (6 bed mixed) the cleanliness was awful to be honest. There was food, pots/pans, belongings etc everywhere - we're not talking about only peoples rucksacks they had opened up in a hurry, we are talking equipment to live there for a long time. There were 'camps' made around peoples beds with sheets. One person told me he had been there since September (This is now January). It wasn't welcoming, didn't feel safe & I wondered whether to leave as clearly people were using this place to live.
As I was tired from the bus and needed to shower, I thought to myself 'Maybe it will feel better once I have a shower and refresh - I can come back into the room with a clear head' but when I came back from the showers into the room again two more people were in there and honestly - I didn't feel like comfortable with the situation & types of characters still so I grabbed my stuff & left still with wet hair. I asked the lady at reception if there were any spare beds to change too - maybe a private, or a smaller room, or one with actual backpackers stopping for 1 or 2 nights instead of living there. To be fair she looked to see if there was availability elsewhere but there wasn't.
In the end, I just put my sheets on the side with the key and left to find somewhere another hostel. I didn't bother asking for money back that's how much I just wanted to get out of there.
