Piscine minuscule max 2 personnes
Hotel basique qui prétend être d'un autre standing, dommage. Nous ne recommandons pas.

Good location and private beach
Uncomfortable bathroom, regular bed and room, small pool. Bad price per value

Good bed, good shower, clean room
they gave me a room next to the bar with lots of noise, the worst room in the hotel, looking at the parking lot.
the Food service was very poor and expensive. I didn’t find it welcoming that before seeing your room/hotel they make you sign a form of everything that they will
charge you if you loose key, stain a towel, etc…

Nice location, beautiful people.
Food was not so good. Chef on vacation.
Food and drinks prices are high
Hot water of shower takes 10 minutes to get
Small bed. Furniture very old. Door did not close properly. Very noisy. Penthouse is awful, Sargazo terrible, apeareance and smell.

beautiful views of the sea, friendly staff, convenient restaurants on ground floor.
the street noise during the day was awful, pop music played most of the day to entertain cruise ship tourists. if it wasn’t for that it would have been a good location. the power was knocked out by a storm on our first night, hence my lower rating of the property.

I personally loved everything about the property.

We were happily surprised to have a room with a partial sea view. We enjoyed sitting on a good-sized balcony. The bed was comfortable and the room bright and clean.

Nice room, big and comfortable bed. Beautiful view over the ocean. Very friendly receptionist for the check-in.
Don't go to the restaurant. Worst experience ever ! We tried to have dinner there... the waiter didn't seem to care and the food was just awful. We ended up buying noodles cup from the shop next door...

The location by the sea is superb.
It would have been nice to have an elevator.

Very spacious room. AC worked well.
No warm water, not even at the end of the shower. Room was clean, but had a strong mold smell. No elevator, suitcases have to be carried upstairs.

clean, friendly & perfectly placed.
great view from rooftop & seaview rooms
noisy during daytime due to the cruise-ship-madness in the village - but they return to their ships in the evening anyway.
zero ship days: great
one or two: take a bike and head the other direction.
three or four: go somewhere else.

Club de playa repleto de sargazo y huele horrible!!

staff, room view, cosy restaurant, free beach towels, comfortable room
seaweeds on the beach (due to Sargazo invasion); no fridge, neither coffee maker in the room

We rented a room with an Ocean View. Our location was excellent! We couldn't have been any closer to the beach! Unfortunately, the seaweed was horrible, so we didn't get into the water. The restaurant at the hotel had good food and drinks. Our AC unit went out the 1st day we were there, but the staff installed a new AC Unit while we were out during the day, so I really appreciated their responsiveness!
It took a while for the hot water to work in the shower, but once it reached the room, it was adequate heat and pressure. The area is trying to develop the area of Mahahaul and Costa Maya into a resort area, and cruise ships are already coming in. Unfortunately, the seaweed is a huge problem, not just for this area, but the whole Maya Riviera coast.
As for us, we rented a car to get there. It was about a 3 1/2 hour drive from Playa del Carmen. With the seaweed issue, it wasn't worth the drive. In addition, we got stopped by one of those "infamous dirty cops" we' had heard about on the return to Playa del Carmen. It occurred in the small town of Felipe Carrillo Puerto. As tourists, we were targeted by a mortorcycle cop who said we had to pay him cash in order to leave, or report in 3 days to pay the fines he concocted.
If Mahahaul ands Costa Maya want to draw tourism to there area, they need to put pressure on the Mexican government to clean up this corruption! Mahahaul and Costa Maya are nice areas, but our experience with this corruption will prevent us from ever returning! We will stick with Playa del Carmen and Cozumel, or at least more populated areas that depend on tourism. What a Shame!

Beach front. Room was clean.
Restaurant was very overpriced. A/C was not cooperating.

The hotel is right in front of the beach boulevard (Malecon), so it was great to just go out and walk or cycle to places along the boulevard.
The bed was not that comfy and room they gave us was right in front of the entrance so it was quite noisy.

I loved it, we had access to the beach, we didn't use the jacuzzi because the sea was like a huge pool it was so calm. I loved the location just a short walk to the centre. The room was nice with a big bathroom.

The location is right on the Malecón with wonderful views of the ocean. The restaurant was actually decent.
The rooms were tired, in dire need of renovations/repairs. Patio door wouldn't lock and was never repaired even after asking a few times. No hot water in the shower. No coffee maker or other amenities. A thin sheet on the bed with no "real" blanket/bedding. Very basic, tired room for the price. Patio chairs very worn out, no table. Would not recommend, better options on the Malecon for the same price.

The best part was the private beach which was right at our doorstep. There's a beautiful reef near the dock in front of the hotel. I brought my own snorkel mask & fins and I saw eagle rays, porcupine fish, sting rays, squids, and lots of corals without having to take a tour.
The zacuzzi was not warm. There was only one chair at our balcony.

Location and beach in front of hotel
Check In was 30 min after 15 p.m and there was no excuse for that like a drink or even a verbal excuse. No Breakfast included. Staff hardly greeting the hotel guests. The interior was beaten up, the room not spotless clean, towels and bed-linen had stains, no hot water in the shower, bed was smaller than booked Queen size, the chairs on the balcony old and torn and no table. Clearly NOT the standard of a 4 Star Hotel. Recommend price 105 USD, we paid 173 USD a night! We were absolutely disappointed as this was supposed to be our holiday treat.
