The staff was amazing! Super friendly and helpful! The beach lounge and restaurants were great and the rooms were very nice. The breakfast was great! We loved it and hope to come back!
Small side note: not always service (and never wifi) in the rooms.

7.0
The hotel is beautiful. The rooms are large, the grounds are stunning, and the beach set up for guests is the best on the island. Spent 99% of my 7 day trip sitting under a palapa on a lounge bed. The location of the hotel is big plus as you can walk to anything you might need/want.
Things I highly recommend:
-bring bug spray. The mosquitoes are INSANE and you will get destroyed without it.
-bring plastic sandals that can get dirty. Holbox is very muddy/dirty/sandy and you’ll live in those plastic shoes.
-bring slippers or shoes to wear in the room so your feet don’t get dirty inside.
-bring an eye mask as the rooms are not blackout. If you don’t mind waking at 6 when the sun comes up then disregard.
-DEFINITELY bring a reusable cup/Yeti with you. You have to purchase water or use one of their water stations and having an insulated cup is a must. Can go to the bar for ice any time and water outside of the hotel at one of the little shops is significantly cheaper than at the hotel.
-most places accept credit card but a few are cash only. Every place had a different exchange rate. Some were 16 pesos per dollar and some were up to 20. There is an exchange in the city center if you need money converted.
-bring lots of light, airy clothing. The humidity is 100% day and night coupled with the high heat.
Service was very slow. My first night there I sat outside at Umo for drinks after a very long travel day. They brought my drink and then never came back. After an hour+ of sitting and waiting to order another drink I decided to just get up and leave. I felt like I had to consistently chase down a server to order the complimentary breakfast and also for service on the beach. Some of the servers are great and more attentive but the majority just weren’t on top of it. In general I would say I felt like those that were there as a couple received more attention from the servers and management staff than I did as a solo traveler.
I booked my transportation to the hotel through the hotel staff and upon arrival at the airport I couldn’t find my driver anywhere. I looked for 40 minutes in the heat with no cell service. There are hundreds of drivers with name signs bombarding you as soon as you come through the doors at the Cancún airport. After looking around and waiting for him to surface I had no choice but to take a different cab company to get out of the airport and on my way to the ferry. The hotel claims the taxi driver was there with my name on a sign - I never saw him despite my best efforts. So after having to pay $200 for a different cab ride the hotel still charged me for the prearranged transportation. I gave pushback when I arrived but they insisted I was paying for the mixup. Definitely was not the best start for my trip.

Beach rooms not really useable as such - totally in the shade.

We stayed 4 nights and could've stayed forever. We loved this hotel, the staff, the space, the hospitality, the beauty, the peace. We super-loved the breakfast!
We honestly loved everything.

Casa las tortugas
We had a great time at the hotel. They have an amazing beach area, great restaurants, a beautiful pool, and the friendliest staff. Our thanks to Ara for great recommendations, and to Natalia on reception for helping with all the tours we did around the island.
Definitely worth it!
PS: don't miss the huitlacoche dish for breakfast!

Everything great.
The quality of the space, the architecture, the linens.
The location, the service with kindness and great attitude
The music at the restaurant and beach club, Friday and Saturday was HORRIBLE!
I went there too rest and have a good time, not a RAVE techno party.
The bathroom is missing a few hooks for wet stuff, towels and bathing suits.

Pretty much everything, the property is incredibly well designed, the shady lounging areas are wonderful and relaxing, pool and temp was perfect. The room was great and loved the food so much we ended up eating there every meal when we had planned to explore more. The service was outstanding and perfectly coordinated. I’m a Bonvoy Titanium and thankfully opted to stay here over another property and this was probably the best service I’ve received at a hotel in many years. Even to the point that we requested our room be serviced during spa appointments at a specific time, and like clockwork they were there almost on the minute. I couldn’t be more impressed with this hotel.
To each their own, so not really a knock, but I’m not a big techno beat music fan, would’ve preferred something a bit more island vibe or relaxed on the airwaves but to their credit it was mostly an afternoon or early evening thing. Be advised though that the neighboring property loves to really blast the music and it can be loud at times.

The location, decoration, facilities, food.
Our stay was good but we hade some issues which finally give me a bad memory of our journey. First, after travelling 15 hours to get there, the first thing that we have been asked is to pay.... We were supposed to stay 4 nights. We had to postpone outstay of one day (arriving one day later due to Tap Airlines delay) and we had to pay this extra night that we could not use - (I am operating a flat property at home and I would never do this to my customers). Our room was supposed to have a saloon corner - following the description when booking. We did not have that. Claiming this to the reception, we have been said that all rooms are different - ok, then don't put in description something the you do not offer. The day of arrival, the person at desk was really not friendly.

Casa Las Tortugas is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
Best food on the island was located in the different restaurants within the hotel.

Amazing location right on the beach, the best restaurants in Holbox were in the hotel which made it great. Easy to book services through reception, with super friendly and helpful staff.
The Wifi was challenging at time, but not an issue for those on holidays and wanting to switch off!

Perfect location right on the beach front with beautiful interiors and great food & drinks!
The service across the restaurants could be quite slow and often had to ask for menus and to order, but this was not a problem really as we were in no rush! When the food and drinks did arrive they couldn't be faulted. The food and cocktails at Mandarina were really great!

The hotel is designed with great attention to detail and has a beautiful beach / beach restaurant.
The staff was not helpful and partially even unfriendly. Overall the service level was below what I would expect from a premium hotel.

Absolutely beautiful hotel on the best location
Room overpriced considering the size and type. Also for a honeymooner the room lacked privacy since all sounds could be heard to next door.
Restaurant staff had absolutely no idea what was included and what not in the complementary breakfast, the info we got was different every day.

Paradisiac ambiance, very harmonious and well-maintained. Each room is unique and offers great experience. Staff is very helpful and friendly, yoga classes every morning. Restaurant on the premises (actually 2 or three, judging by 3 different menus) are all nice with attentive staff. Beach is the best in the area - the only one with algae cleaned, sun beds comfortable
Rooms are a bit dark, but not really a problem, as you don’t want to spend much time inside

Amazing hotel, small piece of paradise and great facilities. Very welcoming and full range of services (pool, yoga, restaurants). The best hotel in Holbox for sure!
10.0
The staff were so welcoming and made you feel at home - they remembered our names and dietary restrictions immediately - and they were so thoughtful about everything. The beach lounge area was artfully designed for comfort, shade or sun, and it never felt crowded. Breakfast overlooking the ocean every morning was delicious, filling, and so peaceful. The layout and design of the grounds are stunning - you feel like you're in a garden oasis, not a hotel, and the water features everywhere add to that. We didn't go out an explore the island nearly as much as i thought we would, because we were just so relaxed and happy at Casa Las Tortugas. But, the staff helped us pick the perfect excursions for our budget, interests and energy level and made sure we had everything we needed for each outing.
Literally, my only complaints are so small, but both sleep related, so important to share. The bed was a little too hard for us side sleepers. I slept just fine on my back, though. And they turn off the fountain at night, so the street noise is a bit easier to pick up. If you're a light sleeper, bring headphones or a white noise machine, because the wooden slats windows are not really designed with sound proofing in mind and the town seems to wake up at about 7:30, just in time for yoga!

The hotel is beautiful with its interior and location on the beach. The breakfast amazing as well as the drinks. We also enjoyed the yoga classes offered in the mornings. I would be happy to stay here again.
The service was slow. A glass of wine could take 30 min to arrive sometimes.
