Solide Unterkunft

Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt für 4 Nächte. Die Wohnung ist sehr geräumig und mit dem Notwendigsten ausgestattet. Es gab Handtücher zum Duschen und für den Strand.

Das Wasser in der Dusche hat mehrfach übel gerochen (gammlig, faule Eier). Das Leitungswasser war salzig, also auch nicht sehr angenehm zum Zähneputzen. Die Armaturen im Badezimmer und die Pfanne könnten mal ausgetauscht werden,

Great location, perfect self contained room which had everything you need. Cute and private.

The only problem was the water. They must have really old taps or something so the water stank when showering, washing etc

great location- close to the beach, close to town, not far from the ferry and the staff was lovely. The rooms were beautiful. Great value for money. As previous reviewers mentioned one is allowed to use the sun beds at Nana’s beach bar, which is also a great place with good food!

I loved my stay here. I would definitely come back again.

I love the location and decor of the property. It’s a great value. There is a mini kitchen also.

The shower is a bit dingy, but it’s to be expected, considering the humidity of the island.

Very good

Great location in Holbox and a comfy room. Lovely hosts with a cute son who was always running around. The free sunbed and Margies every day down at Nana beach club were great when everything on the island is so expensive. The Margies was the best we had our whole trip

the room could have been cleaner, thick dust on the top of the curtains, fan etc. bathroom and kitchen fittings quite tired and limescaled. Also the room wasn’t cleaned at all during our 5 day stay, would have been nice to have a change of sheets or just a sweep of the sandy floor.

Disappointing stay in Holbox

Location is central Beach club you can use (but you have to pay to use the proper sunbeds) The lady who checked us in was nice

I wish I’d paid more attention to the negative reviews before booking because they’re right. maybe we were unlucky with the room we got, but I think these are broader problems in that the property is not looked after. - The bathroom absolutely stinks of sulphur once you turn the shower or tap on. it was so bad we hardly showered! I assume this is a dirty drain and hopefully not the water itself. - There is just one toilet seat which is a padded little kids toilet seat. - We booked a studio so we could cook but the kitchen was not equipped. No pan or kettle, we had to ask for knives and forks - we ended up having to eat out more than we budgeted for. - I messaged booking when we got there to see if we could move because it was not as described, but Booking just forwarded my message to the owner. He said all the rooms were as described and the only difference was decor. he offered to move us to a different room but at that point we figured it was pointless if they’re all the same. - you can hear everything from outside. Most nights weren’t too bad (there’s a live band a few buildings over most nights until 11/12) but on our first night some guests downstairs were playing German rap loudly at 1am in the common area. I asked the owner about this, because I really needed to sleep, and he basically said I was lying.

Great value for money, has the brilliant basics in place!

Superb location, with a very helpful owner (Alberto). WiFi is limited on the island so it was a treat to have it working consistently in my room. Felt safe, and would recommend!

It was a struggle to get hot water in the bathroom but the weather is so warm that it’s not a crisis.

lovely house

I loved the room! it’s so cosy decorated, with a beach theme. the bed was extremely comfortable, including the pillows. in fact, I want these pillows at home! it was super clean. the little kitchen is convenient if you want to make a little breakfast. i was pleased with the boiler providing warm water. would stay here again :)

it was definitely hard to find this place, the location on the map didn’t fit the actual location of the house. when I arrived I tried to call the number but got a voicemail several times. eventually I sat down at the restaurant around the corner, got a nice agua fresca and asked the bartender if he knew the house. thankfully he did and walked me to it. very kind. maybe provide better, more clear information beforehand? :)

Great apartment with an access to beach

Great apartment with an access to beach where you have available deckchair and 1 free cocktail daily. Clean and centrally located, well equipped kitchen corner, hopping net in the apartment, very nice decoration.

Tiny double bed, if bigger this would be excellent.

All in all, a pleasant stay.

Excellent location - very close to the beach, shops and restaurants but still relatively quiet. The room was spacious, nicely decorated and clean. There is a fan and air-conditioner, but I found I only needed the fan to cool the room. I liked the hammock in the room, as well as the fridge, sink and dishes provided. The Wifi connection was excellent - I never had a problem getting reception which is apparently rare on Holbox. The complex is private and secure, and it was nice to hang out at tables in the hallway. The owner also runs a beach club and guests are offered a free welcome drink and use of a sun-bed on the playa which was a great bonus as sunbeds are costly to rent. I used the sunbed for a few days and they didn't seem to mind as long as you purchase some drinks and/or food.

There is no reception desk or manager on site, the cleaning staff spoke only Spanish, and there is no information provided about tours, restaurants, taxis, etc. I would recommend that an information card be placed in the rooms. The water pressure in the shower was weak, but this is a common problem in Mexico. The bed was a bit hard and lumpy. Although the room is listed as an "apartment", there is no way of cooking a proper meal as there are few pots and cooking utensils. I would like to have had a coffee maker at the very least!

When I arrived there were some snacks, a bottle of water, a small coke and a half size (2 glasses) bottle of wine which I found to be a lovely touch. I declined housekeeping while I was there. I am not a big drinker but thought to drink the wine Xmas day, a couple days after I arrived. On Xmas day, there was no wine. Staff had apparently entered my room specifically to take it. I find this really disturbing, not because I wanted the wine but as no one mentioned it. What else could they have taken and does someone have that great of a drinking problem on site?

Great place! Calm but close to everything.

There’s free access to a beach club close by. This includes a plastic sunbed and no umbrella. For the nice sunbeds and an umbrella you have to consume 1000MXN at the club (which has great food).

Room is very cosy and quiet. WiFi and shower are good. Location is just perfect! The owner also has a beachclub where you can get some shade for free which is rare in holbox. Could leave our bags and even shower in a different room before we had to depart.

Mirrors were quite dirty and there was lots of fungus in the coffee machine. Electric stove is only one pit and very underpowered, no salt/pepper/cooking oil available.

The host was waiting for us at the apartment. He explained everything very clearly. He even invited us to the beach bar that he owns and wished us an amazing stay on the island. The apartment itself was very clean and beautiful. The location is perfect! I would recommend this to every one!!

If you’re looking for a quiet, cozy and superb located island accommodation you must stay here. My room, Lia, was bright, clean, well decorated and comfortable. Just FYI, this are serviced rooms with private bathroom and a kitchen (to cook only basics). Wifi works super well (taking into account that the overall service in the island is slow and unreliable). They will clean you’re room once or twice per week, but you can always ask for fresh towels or anything else you might need. Sun beds and free welcome drink at a great beach club only a few blocks from the hotel is a super plus.

Amazing stay!

We had the best stay here! so good we extended our trip. The location is fab, just off the main street and so close to the beach. The room is lovely and has everything you need. We really appreciated the AC and the beach towels and toiletries. You also get to use sun loungers at a beach bar which saved us loads of money and the bar is super nice! Overall nothing to fault and would highly reccomend, great value!

Great stay close to the beach and city centre

Stylish accommodation with well-equipped kitchen for making breakfast and a good bathroom Close to the beach and Zocalo/restaurants and still quiet Refilled drinking water, tea, coffee etc Private beach (nana beach club) where you get beach chairs. They are not as nice as the ones the beach club guests do get, but do the job. You also get a free drink every day and the people there are really nice. If you don’t want to order anything after the free drink they will leave you alone. The beach in Holbox offers not a lot of shadow spots for free so if you need shadow this is a good chance to save some money as you need to pay/consume up to 500 Peso per person to get a chair in a beach club. The hosts were super responsive This accommodation is superior to another one I stayed in before and it’s really good value for money. If I come back to Holbox I would use this one again

The bed is relatively small for 2 people (1,4m x 2m) The stove is old and appears a bit dangerous when using No oil and salt provided for cooking
