Hussein is the loveliest and most welcoming host! Exceptional food, that was served in a family atmosphere. Beautiful authentic rooms with colorful traditional décor. View from terrace is stunning. A short walk to the nearby village is an unforgettable experience where you can watch ancient crafts being made as tajin making ant traditional farming.
I had a small problem with the room and Hussein and his sun moved me to a different room immediately. The best place to sleep in the Atlas by far.

A genial and very generous host with lots of local knowledge.

Everything was so beautiful (view and garden) and the owner and son were fantastic hosts. We could not have enjoyed our stay more. Thank you very much, Alhusseine
the roomdoor draggled loudly, but fortunately we had no other guests around who could be disturbed. Small room but comfortable, though my single bed mattrass was a little out of form.

We loved our stay at the Auberge! El Houssein was extremely accommodating and gave the place a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. It’s located in absolutely stunning countryside with a river running nearby. Our supper was delicious as well as our breakfast 😊. Recommend this place to everyone, it’s a gem that can’t be missed on a trip through the atlas!

The owner was friendly and helpful; and I liked that the owner interacts with guests. When we arrived, the dinner (which we had pre-booked in advance) was ready for us — the dinner was tasty and plentiful. We booked a double room, but the owner gave us a better room (triple room). Warm water was unlimited in the shower (however, the basin has only cold water tap).
Internet connection was non-existent and never worked while we were there.
The room inside is too dark even when all light fittings are switched on — it was impossible to read, impossible to tell whether the room is clean or not. The owner should replace all light bulbs with the brightest possible light bulbs.
In the bathroom, the washbasin has only cold-water tap (hot water is only available in the shower). The bathroom door does not lock from inside — maintenance is needed. There were no floor mats or towels for the floor. Because there is no shower tray, the floor becomes wet; therefore, floor mats (towels) should be provided.
It was cold during night in winter. An electric fan heater was provided in the room; however, because it is too loud when it is operating, we switched it off before going to sleep. In the middle of the night we woke up because the room was severely cold. When we switched the electric fan heater back on, we could not fall asleep thereafter due to noise; in any case it took a long time to make the room warm. The owner should invest in an oil-filled electric radiator (they plug into a socket and operate silently), rather than a fan heater (they generate noise).
It is true that the owner is welcoming and the price of this accommodation is relatively inexpensive; nonetheless, guests’ comfort is adversely affected by the aforementioned things.

Amazing location in the mountains of Morocco. Beautiful scenery! The rooms as well as the public areas (garden, dining area, rooftop) were nicely decorated and in a great condition. The hosts were exceptionally kind and did everything they could to make our stay as comfortable as possible, it felt like being guests to an old friend. They also offered to serve dinner, which I can highly recommend. It was our first dinner in Morocco and it was definelty one of the best.
I was very satisfied with the stay :)

A wonderful welcome from Housseine. We (family of four with two teenage girls) felt completely at home and nothing was too much trouble. A lovely location with the river close by - great for a cooling paddle. Housseine even made some argan oil for us as he has a small press! A great stop-off en route from Agadir to Imlil.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Auberge situated in a idyllic location in the High Atlas Mountains, just across a beautiful traditional Berber village. The surroundings are impressive. The host, Hussein, is very friendly and nice, and seems to be a really good Chef also :). He cooked for us a very tasty traditional Berber Moroccan dinner, with some traditional meat and vegetable tajins.
The rooms are basic Berber style rooms, with great mountain views. Considering the isolation of the location everything was great.
Nothing to complain.

The location of this Berber-style guesthouse is beautifully nestled in the shimmering red mountains. The terrace overlooks the sheds where pottery is made and stored to dry on the roofs. Housseine, our host, is a joyful man who takes great care of his guests. Although it was only mid-afternoon, he cooked for us a meal: A Moroccan salad and a tajine, which tasted very good. We were his first guests since one year. The rooms are all very small and very simple. Being very hot , Hussein brought us a ventilator for the night. What we liked the most is the absolute silence and the cocks, donkeys and birds that put us in the mood for the new day.
Well, everything mentioned above makes up for the simplicity of the room.

Dinner was fantastic. View was amazing. Very quiet. The owners were super friendly and nice. I would stay there again. I recommend if you'd like to stay in a Moroccan mountain countryside.

The house is a traditional Berber settlement and the rooms are very basic and old. Despite that, this was the most expensive room we had during our 10-day round-trip in Morocco. It is probably due to the fact that there is not much choice in the scarcely populated area.
The landlord is very friendly and polite and he offered us an upgrade of a quadruple room which we booked to two twin rooms for no extra cost.
He also cooked a nice dinner. The food was tasty and the portions were huge (85 dh/person).
In December, the rooms were very cold, 12 C degrees inside. A tiny electric heater did not help much. But thanks to a hot shower and large blankets we slept quite well.
