Großartige, warmherzige authentische Lodge

Wir können diese lodge nur wärmstens weiter emfejhlen! Die Lage das Personal und das Ambiente waren großartig! Gerne wieder !

Das essen unter dem Sternenhimmel und dabei am Lagerfeuer zu sitzen war ein Traum. Die Safari und die Kalahari direkt vor der Tür zu erleben waren toll! Vielen Dank

Great start of Namibian adventure holidays

Nice location, observing the animals from the cabin was fun. The cabins are spacious and comfortable. You have a lot of privacy. The Game Drive with Bertus was a great experience! Highly recommended! Nice atmosphere with outdoor fire for dinner.

It’s a bit difficult to find the lodge if you trust your navigation system.

Superb

Location is great as you are in the middle of the Kalahari desert. You are free to walk around in the dunes and spot some game on your own. You can also book a game drive but can't comment as we didn't have time to do it. The dinner was great and very romantic (candle lit dinner and bonfire). Staff was really nice.

A beautiful place to stay in the red dunes with plenty of wildlife

This was our second visit and it lived up to our memory. It's located in beautiful red dunes and is very beautiful and peaceful. The staff is wonderful and the meals were lovely. Bonus this year are the roads in are better maintained than before, We would definitely return again if in the area.

There was nothing not to like but they do seem to get more tour groups than most lodges we stay at. Not a negative since it is usually the beginning of their tours and they are still quiet and getting to know each other.

Beautiful place

It was our 1st night in Africa, and after longway from europe it is perfect place for staying. We most recomend their Game drive (Start's at 4pm)! On our trip around africe it was maybe best Game drive what we saw. Friendly staff, tasty dinner and breakfast, comfortable beds.

Just beautiful relaxing place.

Well we stayed here for the 7th time in 10 years. That explains quiet a lot if not all. A beautiful place in the red dunes of Kalahari desert.

Exceptional

Such a stunning setting and one of our favourite stays in Namibia. Lovely staff, great bar, restaurant and pool. Really hope to come back one day, thank you.

Superb

Perfect scenery in the middle of Kalahari Desert with red sand and wild animals kept in a private reserve. The main lodge is cosy and beautifully designed with woods and the pool meets the needs. We were only 6 guest in total so I guess when fully booked can feel a bit less intimate. Very big rooms excellent equipped with A/C and bathroom. Lovely dinner by the Boma and friendly efficient staff. Recommend all the activities on offer very much worth the price.

Stayed only one night in the final leg of the trip if stayed longer would have spent the whole trip budget on this accomodation

Beautiful experience

Since the entrance from the main gate the experience ha been great: you drive 10min in a beautiful reserve to reach the lodge. We receive a warm welcome from the staff and did our check-in quickly. The room is a full bungalow, immerse in the nature. The room is big, clean with a great bed: best sleep in Namibia. The dinner was good and prepared under the stars with a fireplace in the middle of the yard. Very nice pool to chill. Good breakfast. We had a great time!

Beautiful place with amazing service

Beautiful place and surroundings! Cosy and tasty dinner near the fire pit, the view from breakfast location was amazing. Very friendly and helpful stuff! We enjoyed the massage and the game drive a lot. Would definitely come here again.

Book it great stay!!

A great location and wonderful staff. The bungalow exceeded expectations. Very quiet and great activities offered. There were able to cater to vegetarian dietary needs. Dinner around the fire was special. I highly recommend.

Lovely

lovely surrounding and very friendly staff. We arrived very late and the staff stayed late to still serve us dinner in the boma. nice surprise was the hot water bottle in bed.

nice for a one night stop if you need to break your itenerary.

it is very nice and currently due to low tourism rate you get upgraded to the zebra lodge from camelthorn. super quiet and very relaxing to finish the journey, but otherwise nothing too special.

the restaurant is outside so if you go during winter like us, it will be extremely cold (expect breakfasts at 5 degrees). the staff is very very nice but not much activities and so on to do.

Beautiful Kalahari

We were upgraded to Zebra Lodge.The staff were very friendly and helpfull. The food was excellent and a beautiful lodge

It will be better if the walkway was at the back of the rooms and not in front.

A great place in the Kalahari...

I loved my stay at Camelthorn Lodge. Beautiful spacious room, wonderful staff always very helpful, good food and everything was very clean. Great wildlife sightings, I loved the game safari with Andreas, he knows a lot about the animals and the vegetation, a great guide. I recommend the place!

Exceptional

Stunning place! Wild nature just few hours drive from Windhoek. Attentive staff, everybody at the hotel were friendly with us! Excellent service, delicious breakfast and dinner as well. Outstanding night sky, if you get lucky with the weather. Don’t skip the game drive and bushman walk, it is a must do.

Very good

Basically everything. We actually booked the Camelthorn Lodge but we're upgraded to the Zebra Kalahari Lodge. Many thanks!! Simple, spacious elegance, attentive but not overbearing staff. Bertus, our guide was super - both on the game drive and the San walk. Highly recommend both activities.

The electric sockets aren't the best. We had to make a construction to keep chargers in the sockets. A couple of the bushes to the right of the waterhole impaired the view - especially for the rooms on the right hand side. We would also like to have had the option of a hike or two. The evening meal was a bit heavy.

Amazing stay!

We got upgraded and stayed at the Zebra Lodge. Amazing staff and food (dinner/breakfast). Highly recommend it!
