We had a nice stay at this property. Overall very clean on the inside….the only complaint inside would be that we opened the windows to get fresh air and the windows were filthy with dirt and bugs. I bought some Clorox Cleanup and they wiped right up so we could keep them open. The quilts on the beds could use a good cleaning but we washed them and all good! Our biggest complaint would be that as you walk onto the dock it is very dangerous. Uneven wood and a huge rock you have to walk on to get there. My elderly father could not get onto the dock. The back patio by fire pit was awesome once we cleaned off the sticks and debris. The back porch was great also. The yard is very messy and could use some work. A lot of debris, rotting wood and we had to mark a big piece of wire sticking out of the ground so we didn’t step on it! Suggestions would be some more mirrors and hooks for our towels! Overall we had a great week!

This is a very cozy home that gives plenty of space to relax and spread out. The canoe and 2 kayaks were fantastic to have access to and this is a great location on Togus Pond. The kitchen is well stocked and we had all we needed for the bathrooms. We would definitely return!

The house was extremely clean and well stocked with necessities. The beds were very comfortable. Lots of places to sleep.
A few things to note:
- If you are a bass fisher - there are a ton of bass in this pond.
- The pond was very clean.
- There are a lot of shallow rocks on both sides of the dock we were able to fit a 19inch bass tracker pro at the end of the dock no problem however.
- The bed sheets are not included (VRBO listing says they were - the host did offer to bring us some however).
- If you need to charge anything on the dock (boat batteries), you will need at least 150 feet of extension cords - the closest plug is in the basement.
This house provided an amazing week at the lake, we cannot wait to return. The host was very easy to work with and extremely accommodating.

Sept 7-10. Hot, hot, hot….thankfully, this cabin was equipped with a window AC unit. It saved the day for us. This was such a relaxing trip. Our cabin was stocked and prepared for inside living. Upgrade and remodel of inside are great, I can see some upgrades to front yard and when complete, will be amazing.
Small suggestions are all I have…
1. Spend a little more $$ on better TP. Using half a roll for use may not be cost effective.
2. Cobwebs were abundant…I’m from Maine, so I understand that task can be daunting. Just a quick brush around door frames and open porch would be great.
Aside from that, I highly recommend this cabin for a trip on Togus Pond. Communication was good and stay was very comfortable.

We really enjoyed our stay at Togus Pond! The kids got to swim, fish, and ride on the kayaks, canoe, and paddle boat every day. We relaxed on the beautiful enclosed porch or the patio every day as well. The house had everything we needed and was close to great restaurants and grocery stores. The area was very quiet and had friendly people in it. It was very enjoyable for a family!

We took a family trip with 9 of us and there was plenty of room for all. The house was very clean. Check in and out was super easy. Would recommend and definitely stay again!

This camp checked off all the boxes for the perfect getaway. Quiet, serene, and the occasional song of a loon capped off a wonderful stay. The screened porch was a godsend during one day’s torrential rain, but a good book and a comfy chair made all the difference, while the children played downstairs. The kitchen was fully stacked with every type of receptacle and utensil imaginable. A thoroughly enjoyable vacation!

We had a wonderful stay at Togus Pond! The place was clean and tidy. My family loved canoeing and kayaking during our stay. Don't forget to bring linens - I almost missed this detail! Overall great time!

This is the cleanest property I have ever rented. Spotless! The setting is so peaceful and calming. Hubby and I sat outside looking at the lake, listening to the leaves rustle and a feeling of total relaxation was ours. Grocery stores and town are only a few miles down the road. Easy to find. We loved this place!!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The house is clean, well appointed, private and comfortable. We played hockey on the lake all weekend and there was plenty of room for 7 adultsthe house was perfectly comfortable on a -30 wind chill night.

The house was beautiful and in a perfect place to feel like you are disconnected the world but close enough to everything you may need on your trip. We went for my birthday weekend and enjoyed the lake view from the fire at night. The back screened in porch was perfect for sitting outside without any bugs or leaves falling on us. The owners were also very helpful and communicative! Would absolutely recommend this place and would go back again in the future!

Lovely property! The house is clean, comfortable and well stocked with anything you might need. Plenty of room for everyone to gather together or spread out. The screened in porch and large outdoor patio are perfect for playing games or sitting by the fire. Private but not isolated and a convenient ride to stores or entertainment. Great fishing right off the dock too!

The house was a perfect fit for our family of 11. Everyone had enough space to relax and unwind, and retreat, when necessary, lol. The screened in porch provided a charming gathering space for games and conversation. The kitchen was well stocked with spices, olive oil, etc. and pots, pans, baking dishes, cookie sheets and a crock pot. Having 2 separate televisions on 2 different levels came in handy on our one rainy day as we were able to watch Mission Impossible and Encanto simultaneously with each age level in their respective spot!
You exit the lower level onto a nice, newer patio with built in firepit, Adirondack chairs and a beloved picnic table (we bought a table cloth to go over it). The walk down to the private dock is tough on the feet (crushed rock) so you'll want flip flops or water shoes. The uneven wooden platforms leading onto the dock would benefit from an upgrade. We enjoyed swimming, fishing and kayaking. The water was the perfect temperature!
Communication with Joseph was fast and positive throughout the week. We would definitely encourage others to stay here!

work house
We had 7 adults. Great sleeping space for all 7 to have a seperate bed. We did have a challenge to keep the basement temperature up where we wanted it. (Chilly)
We worked from dusk to dawn so this was a perfect house to spend the short evenings and get a good nights sleep.

So peaceful!!!
Wonderful property on a quiet pond. Lots of room for guests.
Not super fancy, but extremely comfortable. I felt like I was at home. Great place to unwind. The patio out back was where we spent most of our time. We had a great experience.

Peaceful Lake
The property was directly located on the cove of a peaceful lake with access to kayaks and canoes. The location is within a 15 minute drive to a grocery store, gas station, and drug store. Some highlights were swimming in the beautiful lake, visiting the ice cream stand and bakery in Hallowell, and disc golf in Augusta.

Ice fishing
This is the third time staying there during our annual ice fishing trip. We had a minor issue when we arrived. Joe worked hard to resolve the issue as quickly as he could. The property is located on a quite private road

Maine Vacation
We truly enjoyed our stay here. Between the swimming, the kayaks and canoe, the fishing, screened in porch, the great accommodations, and communication with owner, it couldn't have been better. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Welcoming water spot
There is much to commend about this prime location. While there is a neighbor (not overly close for waterfront real estate) on one side, to the other is a leafy shore. With this set-up, you are on a cozy cove. The private dock allows for tying up one's small boat for easy access -- no cumbersome logistics required save navigating some rocks. The screened porch gives you the outside feeling without any bugs so that you can spend dawn to dusk listening to the loons and more. Charming strings of well-placed lighting allow for hanging out into the evening. The ceiling fans are wonderful, and the kitchen is well-equipped for a crowd. Terrific for family gatherings. The speedy and accurate replies from the hosts made everything easy from beginning to end. What a great introduction to VRBO!

My group and I really loved the lake and the floats/kayaks that were included with the property, the lights on the porch made dinners and card games at night very nice.

Lovely lake stay
We had a family group come up for a week, and really enjoyed our stay. The screened in porch is fabulous. It fits everyone and allowed for social distancing for all of us. The kitchen was well equipped. The house was impeccably cleaned. The cove was lovely and we saw loons up close to the dock nearly everyday. It was very private. The swimming was great, and we boated throughout the lake.

Great For A Large Group
This lovely home was perfect for me and my large group of teenagers! We had a wonderful time swimming, canoeing and kayaking, and just hanging out. When it rained we took day trips to Boothbay and Camden. We loved beautiful Togus Pond and spent a lot of time on the dock. Only word of advice for future renters: bring your own chef knife! Although the kitchen was well stocked, the knives were dull. Thank you for a great vacation!

Great house
We had a great stay in this cute lake house. The house is clean and really well equipped and the lake was everything we hoped for and more! Spent many days on the water and also did two day trips to Portland and Boothbay (both about an hour away). Overall a great vacation!

Wonderful!
We just spent a week at this terrific home and we wanted to stay forever! The moment you enter, you’re encouraged to relax and have fun. The home is clean, spacious and everything you need is at your finger tips. Plenty of room for everyone to be together or to find a quiet spot. The screened in porch was the hub of activity for enjoying the views, playing games and family dinners. Many fish (and one very surprised turtle) were caught right off the dock and we all had a blast swimming and floating around the inlet. It’s quiet, secluded and safe from boat traffic, which was minimal and non-intrusive.
We were visited by loons right at the end of the dock in the evening and one memorable early morning but you can hear their calls whether they visit or not. We saw two minks, a fox, a porcupine and the large and smallmouth bass were plentiful.
I can’t say enough good things about the property and the hosts. Thank you for sharing your little slice of heaven with us! We had a perfect, stress-free vacation and we’ll treasure the memories we made forever.

Great place for family gathering
The property is pretty much what you see in the pictures - plenty of space and nicely laid out. It was easy to get down to and into the water, although you do have to navigate a lot of huge boulders once you are in the water. We loved the screened porch and we made good use of the canoe. It was a great place for 6 adults and 3 kids to gather and enjoy an extended family vacation.

They have this down to a science!
We had an excellent time staying on Togus Pond. The home was beautiful, comfortable and extremely well appointed. We loved the beautiful scenery, the cool breeze on the screened in back deck and the even calming colors of the paint throughout the house. We traveled from New York for our daughters graduation from UMA and had a small party for her and all of our guests were in awe of our VRBO find(and a bit envious too). My brother brought his fishing rod and had some luck catching Bass in the pond while we enjoyed watching the loons and ducks. We even saw a fox. The area is close to shopping but far enough away to be tranquil. Truly a little slice of heaven.

Excellant base of operations for the Holidays
My wife, son, son's finance, and myself spent a week here at Christmas. Very clean, well appointed, spacious, and with a fully furnished downstairs, had room for privacy for the young couple.
Owners were very responsive when we needed something.
