Nice place no problems with the cabin at all. Need to include in your property details of getting there that it is a one lane gravel road, that requires a 4 x 4 or high vehicle so you don’t drag on the road. Also must back up down the narrow road if somebody is coming your way needs to be a 2 lane road and a more visible sign of property number for this unit. The cabin has a hwy across from unit next to river that is very loud, not very quiet as the property details state.

The house is beautiful and equipped with everything you need. As mentioned in other reviews Molly frequently visits. She is the sweetest as well as her owners! We had a party of 6 with 4 teenagers that loved fishing and swimming in the river.

This was a perfect getaway. There was plenty of room and seating to relax, eat, sleep, and play. It had the basics for cooking such as salt and pepper and a couple of seasonings. There were so many pots and pans and baking dishes. The bedding was so clean and fresh. The neighbors were really nice. We truly enjoyed our stay. The drive to the property was a bit nerve racking at first. The road is very well maintained and was easy to get used to driving. Thanks for the stay!

My husband and I plus our three kids loved the Orr house. It has an awesome cabin feel. We enjoyed the sandy area by the river. We had plenty of kitchen supplies although we were missing a broom! I would suggest getting one. Also I would suggest dusting of the blinds and ceiling fans. The wifi worked better than expected for being in the mountains. The single unpaved road is a little unnerving but having read the reviews we knew what to expect. I would also like to mention that in the photos of the Orr house you clearly have 5 rocking chairs on the back deck. Which is perfect for our family of five but there are actually only three which one was covered in bird droppings. That was disappointing. All in all we enjoyed our stay!

Great cabin and very relaxing space. We enjoyed our visit and hope to return. I would only recommend driving a truck or other taller, off-road vehicle to access. The "road" is rather narrow, curvy, and rocky but it's worth it!!!

Very relaxing and fun for the kids and adults. Loved the location and view.

The view of the river was very nice. The cabin was comfortable and very nice.

The location on the river was great and was beautiful. Easy access to fishing from the bank. There is a rafting company that people do use often and they are floating by. The location of the cabin is within an hour of gatlinburg and the nantahala forest. The towns of sylva & dillsboro offer unique restaurants & shops. There were plenty of kitchen gadgets, pots & pans, etc for easy cooking. Just know the last mile or so driving to the cabin is a single lane gravel road.

Cabin was amazingly build.. beautiful. The neighbor’s dog Molly came to visit a few times. This is the best cabin we’ve stayed in

Cabin was beautiful and right on the water. Renter was wonderful to deal with and we will definitely be coming back!

Loved every second of it!

When we arrived we were immediately greeted by this sweet dog Molly! She was very well trained and always waited for permission to enter the cabin. We left our dog at home due to long days of exploring so she made us miss them a little less! The cabin was very clean, beds were comfortable and plenty of linens were provided. The cabin is next to a busy road so traffic is kinda loud at times but did not interfere with sleeping. The road going up is a little scary for us Floridians at first but we managed it just fine. Overall a great cabin where lots of memories were made for our family!💕

First off the cabin is very nice and comfortable and had everything we needed, including a gas grill with 2 propane tanks handy. The view of the river from the deck and grounds is beautiful. This is a secluded cabin in only the sense that you will have to traverse a roughed-in one way mountain rd. This was no issue for our 4WD Subaru and we only encountered 3 other vehicle's on our 6 night stay, luckily we encountered them near a passable area otherwise one of us would have to reverse down a steep narrow rd. Once you reached this beautiful cabin you think you have made it to peace and serenity... until you realize the main highway that runs through the town is just a stones throw away across the river and drowns out any peace and quiet you are seeking. Unfortunately i had already booked a nonrefundable stay before reading the others comments about this issue, so if you are reading this, think twice about whether this will bother you or not. Its not so loud it will keep you up in your bedroom, but is loud enough to drown out the babbling river noise all day and night. I came up from the very busy Tampa FL area and hear less road traffic. This was a huge disappointment and although a beautiful cabin and view. We will not return. Also, towels smelled terrible, had to rewash multiple times and there was pet hair on all the comforters. We tossed them off the beds and used the provided clean sheets and throws. Everything else was sparkling clean.

It was okay but the trash bin was extra full we stayed four days and had 3 bags of trash and could not put any of them in the trash cans and they wanted us to take the garbage out which was ok and they did provide the trash bags but if you stay longer than that take you more paper towels and toilet tissue you will need them.

WE REALLY LOVED THE PLACE ONLY THING WAS GETTING THERE REALLY NEED TO HAVE A CAR OR SUV THAT SITS HIGH NO LOW FRAMED AUTOS 1 LANE ROAD REALLY SCARY BUT WORTH IT WHEN YOU GET THERE

The home and setting were absolutely beautiful. The all wood pine interior felt well designed and cozy. There were 3 adults and one dog and all the bedrooms were very comfortable. The loft bedroom is very nice and private despite being open. The deck looking out onto the river was cozy, even in January. Do NOT be concerned about the narrow road. We had no issues even on a foggy, rainy night. One issue, the very kind neighbor has an off leash dog that pooped EVERYWHERE! Even on the gravel driveway. We pick up after our dog no matter where he goes to the bathroom, but we had to avoid the other dog's waste all over the property. Also, I will never book a property that uses Vacasa again. Their customer service reps (who I talked to just 3 times) were not friendly and didn't really know anything about the property. No help and never really answered specific questions. The property itself...gorgeous.

Our group included 2 families: moms, dads, and 3 teens. The guys have fished the area many times in the past, and the wives came along for the MLK weekend to scope out the area.
The cabin was well-suited for most of our needs. It was a bit surprising that there was no WIFI access. Cell signal was weak at the house too.
Beyond that, it was a great place for our families, and we'd probably book again!

Relaxing, great views, secluded!

Awesome home with all the amenities needed for a few days away from home. Pet friendly, and well maintained for pets.

My wife and I with another couple came up for a weekend. The driveway was long and narrow and we were concerned after reading several reviews about it however it was no trouble at all. Cabin was nice and well supplied. Our only issue was traffic noise, while picturesque there is a major highway right across the river and somewhat takes away from the tranquility we hoped for with the river proximity to the back porch. Overall nice place to stay but I doubt we come back....

Very nice cabin overlooking the river. Peaceful and serene. Loved the back deck overlooking the river with a cup of coffee in hand.

Nice cabin, beautiful setting. Sofa sleeper was broken. Two guests had to sleep on the floor.

Great location for a family fishing trip

Bachelor party for friend the place was perfect slept us all and had a beautiful view of the river.
4.4
Great trip. Great area. Great locals.
4.4
Very clean and comfortable. Host was very responsive and answered any questions very quickly. Reception is bad and there's no wifi, so be prepared to walk around to find a signal.
4.4
House was clean and spacious. Kitchen was well stocked.
Driveway was longer than I would have liked, but no issues getting there 👍
4.4
This was a well-kept cabin. Provides the peace and quiet from the day to day. The river provides entertainment for our family.
The drive in is a bit intimidating but not as bad as other reviews I had read prior to our visit. I would advise having a hand saw or ax as we did encounter a downed tree.
The amenities meet your needs if wanting to cook and stay in. The beds were all comfortable. It was appreciated that a washer and dryer were available.

Beautiful property, beautiful location and views. Loved the proximity to the river.
When we first arrived we were shocked and the road to the cabin, straight up a huge hill, similar to the tractor trailer runs off on mountains, it’s a mile in, narrow and very bumpy and scary.
The combo lock didn’t work no matter how many times we tried, and a few phone calls we were able to get the combo to lockbox and use regular door keys instead.
We were immediately greeted by the neighbor and his dog.
It was a wonderful place to stay; everything was right there; we enjoyed lots of fishing and tubing in the river; we made a fire every night, and made s’mores. We made
Breakfast every morning, we had everything we needed.
The king size bed upstairs was great and my kids all had plenty of room downstairs.
A few negatives were: no hangers in closet, no iron, not enough toilet paper, barely enough garbage bags, batteries only In one remote so we had to switch between rooms, the front door locked every time u shut out and u would be locked out, and it would have been easier if their was access to the back yard from the back steps.
Over all it was a lovely experience. And we had a wonderful time. If u don’t mind driving on the road in, the rest was all great.

Dirty sheets. Dirty toilets and nosy neighbor with dogs that have no boundaries.
4.4
The road is a bit scary to get to the location. Beautiful place and well worth it thou
4.4
Very nice!!

The cabin was very clean, the price was very affordable, and the scenery was very beautiful. I definitely plan on returning again. The neighbor animals were very friendly and a pleasant surprise. The only kind of downside is that the reception is not very good, so it was tough to make phone calls and send text. Great getaway though.
4.4
The house was just perfect for our much needed get away.
4.4
Clean, comfortable and beautiful setting.
4.4
The house was very nice. We had a great time. The river was beautiful! Molly the dog next door and the 2 cats kept us entertained with no internet! Lol We loved all 3 of them! ❤️❤️❤️ The house only had one dish towel! And making Thanksgiving dinner with 1 dish towel was a chore. 1 hanger in the closet. Washer and dryer did not work. But the place was beautiful and very clean! We would go back, enjoyed it very much.
4.4
No WiFi but you don’t need it. Had such a great time disconnecting from everyday. Cell phones did work outside and calls would come in and out. The home was beautiful and we enjoyed fishing and even though your away from it all your still close to it all. Just a few minutes from dillsboro shops!
4.4
Loved the home and the beautiful river. The only issue was the very busy highway across the river. The traffic noise was loud.
