Welcome to Bear Trot! This gorgeous 3 bedroom, 2 bath Smoky Mountain cabin rental is the perfect place to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing vacation getaway.
Bear Trot is within a 5 minute drive to downtown Bryson City and a fifteen minute drive to downtown Cherokee. Perfect location for the "on the go" vacation or if you are just wanting to "chill" Bear Trot is perfect for you.
The main living area gas fireplace, upscale furnishings, flat screen TV, cathedral ceiling and abundant windows that seemingly bring the outdoors in.
Bear Trot provides a fully equipped kitchen which provides you with all the modern appliances and utensils to treat all of your guests to a delicious home cooked meal while on vacation in the Smoky Mountains.
The first of three bedrooms you will find a luxurious king, in-suite full bath and flat screen TV. The second bedroom offers a queen bed and the third bedroom offers two twins. All bedrooms have their own TV. The second and third bedroom are located across the breezeway from the main-living area.

We loved cooking at this house and the huge island provided a perfect place for all our snacks and to set up the buffet for meals. The house was so clean, even the outdoor/screened spaces were well-cared for and spiderweb free, which is no small accomplishment! It feels secluded, but is very easy to find and so close to downtown.

We visit the Smoky Mountain National Park often and this was our first time staying on the North Carolina side of the park. Our family really enjoyed the cabin as it was close to Bryson City for groceries and food but still felt secluded. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. We were a little uncertain of our kids sleeping on the other side of the porch/breezeway but it worked fine and they enjoyed it. We were also close to Cherokee where we did plenty of shopping too. It was close to many park hiking trails which we really enjoyed as well. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at 131-Bear Trot in Bryson City, NC in mid-December. The main purpose of our visit was to bring family and friends together and to ride on the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad Christmas Train. From the moment we arrived at the vacation home, it was a pure joy. The home was beautifully decorated with stuffed animals that the kids loved and “bear” decorations everywhere. The kids had fun finding all the bears...a lot of them! The owners were very nice in that they had the kitchen stocked with many spices to make our stay easier. The rental company was very responsive during the rental process and available to answer any questions during our stay. Overall, from all of the vacation homes we have ever rented, this ranks at the top.

The cabin is lovely. It seemed brand new. It was decorated beautifully and spotlessly clean. You can definitely see pride in ownership. The pictures don’t do it justice. It was well stocked with games. We played dominoes and backgammon in the evening. They even had corn hole. It was a great stay!

What luck that this cabin happened to be available for our vacation! It was our first trip to the Smoky Mountains from Wisconsin. This cabin is AWESOME! Everything was clean. Besides the fire pit and hot tub the cabin is stocked with games, books, and TVs for rainy days. There are extra blankets. Plenty of towels. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes and cookware. Close to The Great Smoky National Park and The Great Smoky Mountains Railroad. We enjoyed both. I would absolutely recommend this property and I would stay here again. It was an excellent experience.

We loved our stay! It was adorable and very clean!! The hot tub was amazing and location was great! Not far from Cherokee and there was a grocery store just a couple miles down the road!!
The only down side... there is not much for TV and no wifi and service is iffy! Fine for a night or two, but a long term stay would be difficult! And the water on the property was not hot, a little over warm at most. And check out time is a little earlier than most.
