Ambiance familiale et serviable dans un quartier calme et beau !

Sara et Sodan sont deux superbes hôtes (et êtres humains en général) et leur personnel aussi. Ils se sont fait un plaisir de me conseiller, de m'informer, et de me présenter Katmandou depuis le toit de l'hôtel : la vue panoramique est imprenable ! Les repas sont très bons et variés, à la demande – et je conseille aussi le Click Café, bar-restaurant accuaillant et impeccable au bout de la rue.

Ma chambre avait une fenêtre avec très peu de Soleil, mais comme je restais un moment, ils m'en ont vite proposé une autre très belle. Maintenant que je les connais, je sais qu'ils m'auraient changé de suite si je l'avais demandé.

Better for backpackers

Rent of the room is cheaper than taxi fare. Nature of the staff is good.

Room has not working fan. Mosquito repellent is not there. Pickup fare is about three times of the rent. Location is not known by taxi drivers.

Had a memorable stay. I will remember it for a lifetime.

The owners are very kind and good people. There directions for the event I was there for were very helpful. I would like to stay with them again the next time I visit Kathmandu.

The time gap between room cleaning could be improved. Although the room was clean. There is nothing to complain.

Onwer woke me up and broke into my room when I was sleeping to show the room to other customers.

The kitchen is in the private room, I am not sure if it could be used or not, the facility looks very old. I didn't eat dinner here, but the owner said I could eat with them but need to pay 350RS Family is good, but they lack privacy concept for customers.

They lack privacy concept for customers. I was sleeping in the morning, but the owner knocked on my door hard and woke me up, I thought is something wrong so open the door, BUT!!!! She brought a couple to show the room to them. That is really un-respect the customers staying in the room, it's not the check-out time, I was sleeping!!! And she woke me up and broke into my room just want to show the room for other customers. This is the most awful experience I have ever had in Booking.com

Superb

On my first stay in Asia, Sara en Sudan received me with the typical Nepali hospitality and made me feel part of their family. They introduced me into their culture and provided me with all the means to explore it further. There was plenty of delicious food!

It's a place i would easily recomand for people wanting to avoid crowded tourist areas.

The location is very convenient, in a quiet and nice neighborhood. We can reach center city walking. The room was comfortable, and the kitchen was very useful not to be dependant on the restaurants. Shower with hot water : amazing! We enjoyed also the small balcony. Very nice welcome from Sara :D

The kitchen and the cooking tools could have been cleaner.

Disappointed Overnight Stay at sara home.

A peaceful Resident Area and nearby shopkeepers are more helpful.

Basic Amenities Like Water bottle, Towel, Tissue paper are not their. In a wash room their is no water. I had Disappointed stay over their.

It was cheap and clean and the WiFi was good when the power wasn't out.

Like in a lot of place in Nepal, people smoke everywhere. The smoking area was right next to our room so it smelled cigarette a lot, which is discussing if you don't smoke to be honest. Also, the mattress was really hard and the kitchen could have more ustensiles.

We liked our stay at Sara's hostel, area is not touristic, so we met and learnt local side of Kathmandu. We liked Sara's husband Südan, we enjoyed his company, he shared a lot of useful and interesting ideas with us. Hotel has a terrace to enjoy the view of the neighborhood.

We got a room with kitchen and separated bathroom. Bathroom is tiny and located outside so that you have to walk outside first before coming to the room after shower. And kitchen is inside the room, so whenever you cook inside it keeps the smell.

We stayed 5 good nights. We liked the location because is pretty close to indian embassy.

- great price for room - avaible kitchen (not fully equipped; using it cost 100NR per day) - very clean bathroom - hot shower

- walls are really not soundproof and it was busy and loud early in the morning. take your earplugs! - not so many options where to eat around - laundry for 200 NR per kilo (two times more than at places around) - all the building feels very cold 🥶
