Porridge for breakfast was excellent. Breakfast very good in a pleasant garden.
Was put in a room that didn't match the photos. Door lock needs replacing, desk light not working in a dark corner where its really needed to make the space usable, rug dirty, dusty room. Also construction site next door for plenty of noise throughout the day. Not sure how much longer until finished.
It's a sizeable place with many rooms so requested room change but denied despite only one other family there at the time. Staff friendly and very apologetic but do not have authority to do anything.
We checked out and stayed in a place twice as good for less money in a much better location. Showed that the value for this venue is not there. Bewildered how highly rated this place is/was.
The walk to Durbar Square is only 5 minutes but along a noisy and busy road with plenty of carbon monoxide results in making the short walk feel a lot longer than it is.
Tip: Make sure you do not get put in room #11

Great location just a hundred meters from Patan Durbar Square. There's lots of incredible buildings to see all around this area. Staff were brilliant, lovely atmosphere, great breakfast
Ceilings are low, im 6 foot and had to duck the whole time, but it wasn't that much of an issue

This hotel is the best place I have stayed in Nepal !! So cozy, nepali style, very clean hotel and amazing, kind and helpful staff ! Not to mention the excellent breakfast. I only booked for one night, if I knew, I would have stayed more. Bonus : the hot shower separated from the toilet in the bathroom was very appreciated!! I do recommand this hotel !!!
Nothing, everything was perfect.

The rooms were extremely comfortable and the setting in Patan near Durbar Square was very peaceful. (It also made it simple to walk 3 minutes to find a taxi!) My family loved the breakfasts as well. This is one of our favorite places we've ever booked on Booking.com
We had two rooms and one had slightly lower ceilings that required me (6'2"/1.88m) to duck slightly. I had a little bit of clearance to walk normally in the other room, but tall people should just be aware.

The location was fantastic and the heritage features made it feel really special. The garden/dining area was peaceful and well landscaped. The new staff member Aashish was amazing and couldn’t do enough to help me and make some great recommendations about places to visit.

Breakfast was excellent and fast served. The garden was beautiful and tranquil. The service was very helpful, getting up at 3:30 to get us a taxi.
The newari ambiance was wonderful, but it meant my 2m husband had to duck the whole time...but that was our choice.

For us this was the most perfect place to stay in Kathmandu, away from the crazyness of Thamel! Patan is an authentic neighbourhood with friendly people, nice restaurants (in any case try Cafe de Patan!) and the famous Durbar Square just around the corner. The hotel is a lovely traditional Nepali house, very well equipped and maintained. The staff is super friendly and they really made every effort to make us feel welcome and took great care of everything we needed (eg. they book your taxi, earlier breakfast because of flight etc.)! Not to forget the great breakfast in the lovely backyard garden! Our room was great and spotlessly clean. Highest recommendation - we will be back!
