Location and staff, we have stayed before and can not fault the rooms however this time the room smelt strange then it became apparent it was smoke
The room smelled of smoke , they had tried to disguise it and when we first went in we could not smell it. However later on in the evening after return the smell had changed to smoke , when we woke in the morning the smell was even stronger.

Location was great
The bathroom was filthy. The toilet still has somebody else’s faeces in it. I don’t think the bathroom was cleaned at all before our stay as the bathroom floor, sink toilet shower, all dirty. Shower head mouldy. Carpet in bedroom filthy and the kettle just full of lime scale. We stopped here four years ago and it was immaculate but definitely gone down hill. I was going to go to staff and ask for a full refund but didn’t want to spoil our weekend away that we had been looking forward to. Was very upsetting though

The accommodation was located behind the pub in a row of 4 cabins offering easy access to the pub and the village.
There was no breakfast included and when we arrived there, they were changing Chefs, so there was no food on offer.
The carpet in the room was stained and dirty looking and could do with a good wash.

Food and staff excellent
For the price the room was a bit shabby and in need of some renewals. Carpet stained….why have carpet?? No tea bags just an empty pot, toilet roll holder broken, cracks in walls.

Lovely welcome and traditional British pub, with garden
Unfortunately, the carpet was badly stained, though perhaps clean, the grubbiness was off putting.
Lots of noise from the beer garden, which carried on till quite late, in spite of assurances that guests would leave early. Very high price for the quality of accommodation.Very poor soundproofing. I heard all the plumbing and conversations from my neighbours ☹️.
Lots of emails urging me to pre book for dinner, but closed the evening I was there, so pretty pointless getting me excited!!!!

Amazing room very clean and tidy and very private.
We spoke to the staff and asked if we needed to book dinner when we arrived she said yes to ensure we’d get served as they’d be busy. When we went to and table and to order at 6pm we were told that the kitchen was now too busy and had stopping the normal menu and only pizza was available. Very disappointing considering we’d book for the food as well as accomodation and that we had booked a table for dinner.

I love the quirkiness of the pub and pizza shed

Large, comfortable bed. Plenty of storage. Great bathroom/wet room.
4.3
The room was nice and clean, and it was very warm and comfortable.
We initially had a small issue, but this was rectified immediately by very nice and proactive staff.
Pub next door to the rooms is nice and cosy.
I didn't dislike anything, but it's just a fair bit away from the centre by foot. To get to the centre, you'll need to get a bus or taxi.
4.3
Great location lovely place to stay would stay again. Also the staff were great loved the pub and food.
Problem with flushing to toilet and adjusting the temperature on the shower and the hot water.
4.3
Friendliness of staff, very comfortable bed, food in bar. Rooms were in a separate building g down the garden, so no noise from pub or main road.
No breakfast option. Door to room very difficult to lock from outside, and thinness of walls, so every time our next door neighbours’ dog barked or they slammed their door it woke us up.
4.3
No breakfast. But a fantastic place over the road did breakfast!
No bedside lights. A high arched ceiling with Downlighters. One set immediately above our heads but were so bright it was not conducive to a relaxing read before sleep.

lovely quiet location in a nice village all amenities Staff very helpful provided extra bedding promptly
Tv signal slightly erratic

really comfy, quiet room. large bed. lovely hot shower.
I have no negative comments.

Lovely large room and bed and great wet room but the wi fi was very poor and the TV channels didn't all work even after a retune
Great value for money and staff very friendly
We had Sunday lunch as a group of 11 and staff were great but sadly the meal was cool. We didn't want to make a fuss so didn't complain

It’s a shame they don’t do breakfast on a weekend !

Nice room. Lovely Pub.
Nothing.
4.3
Really nice place, rooms are separate from the pub with their own entrance so it's very quiet. Thank you for a great stay!
Quite hard to sleep due to a green light above the bed and noisy heating system

Ideal location to break our journey. Modern accommodation presented very well - clean and comfortable. All personnel very pleasant and helpful. Fish and chips was delicious.
Only small nitpick point is that compared to everything else the shower mat was well past its use by date in appearance.
