Great breakfast and lovely staff, so friendly and very helpful. Beautiful gardens and amazing scenery too.
Also very peaceful at night. I will definitely be returning and could have stayed longer than 3 nights.
Nothing to dislike.
4.4
Amazing facilities and service! Absolutely beautiful scenery and room had everything we needed and more
The location is a little far away from everything else so a little bit remote, however breakfast and other requirements are offered and the beautiful gardens make up for it

Lovely building from the outside, nice garden
Shocking dirty room and bathroom . When doing check out told receptionist the room / bathroom was dirty ! Spider , curtains undone broken plug. Dirt in the bathroom,2 yellow stains on the mattress. He told he would pass on the message . No one had contacted us after 2 days . Milk left in the fridge was turned . Bins for dog poop outside the building was FULL of bags with dog poop , REAL LACK OF MAINTENANCE, we were so disappointed!! Maybe because we came with pets and we were sent to the dirty pets room ! (God knows ) but we ve paid £40 for pets. and not a bed or a bowl were Provided for them . We ve booked this hotel for the good review but it was a real disappointment. I have taken pictures of it as we were speechless .Not sure the owners of the hotel are aware of this stage of lack of maintenance

The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and the owners, the environment especially the wonderful grounds

Quiet, peaceful with beautiful gardens and kitchen garden.
Dinner was excellent and the wine pairing was exceptional
4.4
Grounds, the grandeur, and the lovely room with beams. They have zero alcohol drinks, incl a zero gin, which was lovely.. Comfortable beds & easy to us shower
All good, nothing we did not like

Very impressive old country house with Royal history. Gardens are fantastically maintained. As is the amazing kitchen garden.
Sadly whilst the property has a period restaurant we didn’t get to sit there. Restaurant was closed Monday evening and breakfast served in conservatory next morning. We paid twice the price for breakfast that residents of the sister hotel who ate with us paid. Odd. Why not sit Hall residents in restaurant to justify double price for same food?

Great location with local pub a short walk away & exceptional grounds. The hall is well maintained & is a stunning venue.
Knaresborough is a short drive, even walk away & is a lovely town especially on Wednesday's when the market is in town.
The clock radio in the room was a little complicated to operate or was faulty. Bar closed a little early.

The restaurant was closed so I did not sample the food. I did not have breakfast as there is a Nesspresso machine in the room and I had eaten huge breakfasts at my last hotel. That was my choice as breakfast was offered.
They upgraded me to a superior room with a little terrace and a large bathroom.
Altogether the most delightful hotel at a reasonable price.
Nothing.

The setting of the a hall was superb and our room was comfortable and clean with all amenities. The breakfast staff went out of their way to refill items for the buffet. Thank you.
As we were there for a lunch party it would have been nice to have access to our room before attending the party. After our party lunch we didn’t require a large dinner in the evening (only the 6 course tasting menu was available) however we were unable to order room service snacks after 5 pm and the local pub didn’t serve bar snacks or evening meals on Sundays. We went to bed feeling hungry! In future an evening room service would be useful.

Nothing at all to dislike perfect from start to finish

Gardens, friendly helpful staff, fresh milk in minibar, instant hot water digital shower.
Great base to visit Harlow Carr, Newby Hall, Himalayn Gardens, Harewood house, Harorgate, Knaresborough, Ripon, Leeds etc
No lift in our part of the building and we had no view other than a rooftop ad scaffolding.
Took a while to master the A/c
No magnifying mirror, nor bathroom slippers
Restaurant closed some days an only offers a Michelin quality tasting menu - the local (related) pub is a short walk away and offers a decent selection of food and ales and has lovely staff.
4.4
Paper thin walls with noisy residents in adjoining room - woke up in the night and early morning.
Food and restaurant service were phenomenal!

Location and ambiance.
Nothing to dislike.

The garden was very pretty and well looked after.
We were asked to decide what time we wanted to have our breakfast so we decided not to have one. The room was too hot and overlooking an awful yard. Dinner was very rich and wasn’t enjoyable.

Everything about Goldsborough Hall was absolutely fantastic. The Hall itself was immaculate, the rooms were lovely, afternoon tea is certainly something everyone should experience and the breakfast was well worth the money. We will certainly visit Goldsborough Hall again - they do mention Snowdrops of Goldsborough in the Spring so that is a definite trip in 2023 however we will most certainly visit before then, possibly September, 2022.
I know it may not be believed, however there was nothing at Goldsborough Hall that we would class as negative. It is a lovely place and nothing was too much trouble for anyone there.

Lovely, relaxed, atmosphere at Goldsborough Hall. Beautiful garden to stroll around and stunning views.
The breakfast was served beautifully and tasted delicious.
We would have liked air conditioning.
