This white painted hostel was bright, refreshing and relaxing, all the ingredients you need for a comfortable place to r

I have travelled consistently in hostels for the last 5 years and this was the best hostel that I’ve experienced. The amenities were all functional, clean and they had clean hand towels and clean bath mats. This alone speaks volumes about how well this hostel is maintained. The pool is magnificent. This hostel was a breath of fresh air on the journey of hostel life for a seasoned backpacking traveller.

Not much to mention here. The floor is a bit uneven in some places. There is an unsightly trailer full of wood in the driveway behind the gate, so you see it often. These are small blemishes on this lovely lovely hostel experience.

Very noisy, windows are bad isolated, we could hear people talking in the common area or watching the TV very late.

Petit arrêt à Townsville pour 2 nuits

Le personnel de l'établissement était très sympathique. De plus, l'établissement se trouvant à 30 min à pied du quai d'embarquement pour Magnetic Island et de la station de bus Greyhound, l'établissement propose un service gratuit de navette, ce qui est très agréable sous forte chaleur. Cependant, lorsque l'on n'est pas chargé de ses bagages, il est très simple et agréable de faire le trajet entre l'établissement et le quai d'embarquement pour Magnetic Island. Les chambres sont équipées de leur propre frigo, ce qui est vraiment pratique si l'on ne veut pas mettre ses courses dans les frigos communs ou si l'on veut garder des choses à portée dans sa chambre. Enfin, l'établissement propose également des animations tous les soirs ce qui est sympa pour rencontrer du monde.

Les lits étaient très confortables, mais bougeaient beaucoup. Sur un lit superposé, si une des deux personnes bougeait, l'autre le ressentait immédiatement. De plus, la cuisine n'était pas énormément équipée et certaines personnes remettaient de la vaisselle usagée (ou très rapidement lavée) avec la vaisselle propre (ce qui n'est pas la faute de l'établissement pour le coup).

Not the best but not the worst

- Nice kitchen, plenty of space and well kitted out.

- Check in was challenging with ID and parking info - Just an FYI there is no parking on-site, it is street parking which needs paid for - Room not clean (hair all over shower, someone’s old shoes left in room, stained sheets) - Rubbish shower pressure - Squeaky bunk beds - Window doesn’t have bug screen and it was left open prior to checking in

Great hostel

Great hostel, good facilities, rooms are nice and spacious. Location is fine - near CBD and near the bottom of Castle Hill for a nice walk.

Not very clean, sheets & towels were stained and pillow and bed uncomfortable. All the common area furniture also badly stained.

The location is good. The sheets were nice.

The hosts could be friendlier. The lack of milk for a coffee. You need to buy your own. Bathrooms need renovating. Have stayed in back packer hostels elswhere and they have been a lot better.

Staff were incredibly kind and helpful and the place had a cosy feel

The property has a very comfortable, homely feel with relaxed vibes. It definitely doesn’t have a party atmosphere but that was what I was after. The staff were beyond lovely and went out of their way to help me out during my stay. Would 100% stay again

Chill vibes might not suit everyone but they were what I was after

Location isn’t close to much as there’s not much in Townsville, 30 min walk to greyhound bus stop, a lot of noise from other guests

nice place in Townsville

it was good, met nice people and could cook my food in the well equipped kitchen. nice place to stay when in Townsville and good with free shuttle back/forth to buss and boats to magnetic island

Good, short stay in Townsville

Very friendly staff who were always willing to help with catching taxis and booking tours / ferry tickets to Magnetic Island. Friendly atmosphere in the communal areas. It was very quiet, as lights were turned off at 10pm sharp and everyone kept to the house rules.

Long-term residents are mixed with short-term guests, which (in my 4-person dorm) created a really weird vibe. The bathroom, especially the shower was not clean and the dorm looked like a mess due to the long-term stays making themselves comfortable. Community kitchen was filthy, so I didn‘t dare to prepare any food there. At night, the A/C was making super loud noises as well as people from the floor above, therefore sleep was not peaceful.

Great Stay

property was clean. we stayed in a double room with shared bathroom. room was old but really clean. It had a really powerful ac plus above bed fan. It had a sink and a fridge in the room with mini freezer which was a bonus! open hanging space, some hangers dusty but not really an issue could just wipe them off ourselves. Bed was comfy. small desk with extension lead and lamp. There was a nice vibe in the hostel, very friendly people and nice social area outside of the kitchen. Staff were friendly on check in too! Very nice place to stay on a budget!

Main room light didn’t work , but had small light beside bed and over sink so it was fine. Also an extra pillow would be fab in the room.
