It was a good stay and the views were stunning. I didn’t get the room I wanted but the host was kind enough to show me the beautiful room that I thought I was booking.
It’s a beautiful property but the double room at the top isn’t as beautiful as the rest.

The pictures do not do this beautiful place justice it is absolutely stunning and full of history and location is right in the main Piazza.
The staff was wonderful and the breakfast was amazing. Thank you!!

Location is incredible!

Great location, excellent views
No AC although it was manageable at night with windows open and the fans. We were only there in the evening so it was not bad.

Ludovico was a gracious host that welcomed us and helped find us a fabulous reservation on a busy Saturday night! Palazzo is perfect for an authentic stay in Italian aristocracy..perfect for a romantic few days or to imagine your past lives! Will bring out the aesthete in one! Beautiful elegant breakfast and easy parking., a Tuscany must! 💕🙏

Historic buildings and rooms. The location at the top of the village was great. We enjoyed the walk down and up, The room was very old but despite that it was clean and everything worked perfectly. The room was massive also. The receptionist was extremely helpful with the parking.
Breakfast was quite limited.

Location was very difficult to find through no fault of hotel, just the zones were an issue
Bed could have been more comfortable

locationwise, it is near S. Donato parking lot if you can find a spot (it was in blue line and we weren’t aware of that so we got a fine on next day, so please be careful to pay the parking fee), and parking to the hotel is flat so it is not hard to carry bags to the hotel (though inside Montepulciano is ZTL car restricted zone in most of the time, so you can’t bring a car in front of this apartment. It is located near the Christmas market square and most of museums and tower climb were near by, and staff made a reservation to this wine cellar tour with big barrels with wine tasting (optional), and recommended also a very good restaurant (but most of the good restaurants are located near the bottom of the hill so it was easy to climb down, but I got shortness of breath when we were going back, and had to stop many times to catch my breath. )
The space of the hotel rooms are amazingly huge. We had each a big living room, big bed room, and bathroom. One of my daughters room even had a bath tub, so she enjoyed hot bath (hot water was always plentiful and hot).
Size of bathroom on each room was different. So it was by lack probably what facility you get. But it had everything we needed. Our bathroom was a step down and a bit narrow entrance, but it was okay. Our room was facing the Main Street so we can see the big piazza from windows.
But there is no lift or elevator (probably it’s like that in Montepulciano since it is an old town). But staff helped to carry our big luggages.
Since there are 4 rooms and we occupied 3, and there was no one else that time, we had the apartment all to ourselves during our stay. Since staff weren’t staying here, we had a good privacy. but it was Dec 23, so we felt a bit cold during night.
We loved the staff who prepared our breakfast . One of my daughters didn’t want to go down for breakfast due to her stomach pain and she brought everything up to her living room.
I got a message to inform the hotel staff of our arrival time a bit too late, and we arrived a bit too early than the time I informed them. So don’t forget to inform the hotel beforehand, and it has to be exact time of your arrival. It was good there were Christmas markets to enjoy while waiting for the pretty lady to arrive who was very kind and informative.

Great location with a view across the Tuscan country side

Gorgeous property with incredible views, spacious rooms and friendly helpful service
When you’re at the top of the hill and all the Best restaurants are at the bottom it can be quite a workout! Also, not a place for anyone with mobility issues.

The rooms that we had were fantastic and you felt like you were stepping back in time, but with all of the modern luxuries carefully and tastefully incorporated. The breakfast of both sweet and savory options that is prepared onsite just for you is the perfect way to start the day. The staff are extremely helpful and make sure that everything you need is covered. Do yourself a favor and ask them for restaurant suggestions. The restaurant options that we received were two of the best meals we had on our travels throughout Italy (get them to book for you as it makes a difference). A wonderful place that exceeded my high expectations.

Wonderful place, living in a truly historical setting, perfectly maintained and extremely clean. Great service starting from the checkin at reception + friendly service given during breakfast, which is of very high quality. This is a stay you will remember!

Wonderful Italian breakfast brought to our room. The service was so kind and helpful.
We enjoyed having it like royals in these unique surroundings!! :))
A pity that the jacuzzi bathtub didn't work. But everything else was perfect..

Comfortable bed. Nice breakfast.
Francesca, our contact, was rude brusque and late to meet us. She was not helpful with parking or restaurant recommendations. Old rooms, creaky furniture, no service or support. We won’t be back.

This hotel is the most central location in Montepulciano. The space and size accommodate families (up to about 12). The rustic construction and art were also stunning. Wonderful spread for sit-down, family style, breakfast. This location recently completed a full remodel with external wiring and period fixtures.
The wireless network was unreliable and the owner was extremely concerned with anyone, particularly children, staying in the home due to the "original art" throughout the house. Hopefully we did our part to convince the owner that children are actually well mannered. ;-)
