The hotel is located in the middle of the historic district of Rye. It was the home of children's author Joan Aiken (author of The Wolf of Willoughby Chase) and her father Conrad Aiken (poet). It is a building that has value in its own right. It was also the reason we chose it. Breakfast is also freshly prepared and hot, with a choice of several different dishes. All in all, the hotel did not disappoint, but it would have been better if there had been an explanatory board about the Aiken family, which is the important thing.
無し。
1400年代からある歴史的な通りで、狭く急勾配。しかも丸石の舗装はスーツケースでは大変。先に車をホテルの前まで乗り付けて荷物を下ろした方がいい。
nothing.
Historic street dating from the 1400s, narrow and steep. Moreover, the cobble stone pavement is difficult for suitcases. It is better to drive the car to the front of the hotel first and unload your luggage.

Lovely little find. Very quaint. Fabulous honesty bar although the didn’t have time to use on this trip. Great breakfast, perfect location for visiting the delights of Rye and car parking was a bonus

It would be good if we knew in advance that evening for was not available. There are lots of places to eat nearby though

We had the most incredible stay at Jeakes House - the place is mesmerising, and the level of service was next to none. We loved the room we had (Aiken Suite) - big, spacious, bright and all the amenities you could want. The communal areas were stunning and really chilled - the honesty bar was well stocked with drinks, snacks and games. The staff were so lovely, as were the owners who would come around talk to you - and the hotel cat was an extra treat. We can't wait for our next stay at Jeakes House! x
Everything was great - four poster was a bit squeaky but that's part of the charm!

Jeakes House is well located to visit Rye, car parking handy, staff very pleasant giving the hotel a very personnel feel.
The honesty bar was a nice touch and I guess commercially expedient but also creates a point of interaction between guests, well done. I saw that Jeakes House appeared in an old Michael Portillo 'Great British Railway Journeys which was interesting for us.
Nothing all fine

Jeake's is absolutely fantastic offering high quality accommodation coupled with a personalised service, overseen by Jenny & Richard. A tasty breakfast is served in delightful surroundings & the "Honesty Bar" offered a full selection of drinks to enjoy in the relaxing bar/ lounge areas. Centrally located in the heart of Rye, a short walk from all that Rye has to offer. Highly recommended.
There was nothing that we did not like about Jeakes.

Each room is different, beautiful Christmassy touches and a cosy and warm feel. Also loved the shared spaces with fires, piano, honesty bar and Christmas cake! The breakfast was amazing and the staff friendly and accommodating.
Can’t think of anything at all!
